“I have been very disappointed with the responses from the listed surveyors shown. Few bothered to reply back and the prices they wanted seemed to be a lot higher than the original listing. Maybe this is something to do with the pressure of COVID, not sure.”

“My search found one provider to do a survey. The price quoted was reasonable at £730 (the best price I was quoted elsewhere was £517 and the highest quote was £1500). The surveyor got back to me quickly but was unwell and unable to take the work. So Local Building Surveyors is good to use alongside other similar search tools to find a range of providers to choose from”

“Really really poor. A quote was forwarded that was from a company located nowhere near my location and the quote did not take into account any of the details I provided. A mindless yes we will do the work but not taking things in the request into account is appalling. If I hadn't called to check, I would have not got the service I needed.”

“My search enquiry yielded just one potential firm although that firm appeared to be ideal. The fee quoted was acceptable. I immediately called the firm to follow up and was told my enquiry would be passed to a named individual. Unfortunately, the return call was slow and by the time it was received I had already given up and appointed a different firm identified through a simple Google search.”
