The Futon we purchased is the perfect addition to our child's bedroom, it was easy to put together and is a lot bigger than we thought, it would actually take an adult. Our only issue was the lack of communication regarding delivery.

The bed is quite solid. However I ordered the trundle and it is smaller than a single mattress... doesn't make that obvious on anywhere so it's quite small fits mattress 75 x180

Hello, Many thanks for your feedback, and we are happy that you are pleased with the bed quality. We're sorry that you didn't realise the roll out trundle was smaller than the single bed size. Our bed dimensions are all shown on the product page, both in the product specification table and on the images. We do also have the option to purchase a trundle size mattress as the product is added to the shopping basket. We will, however, review this internally to see if there are any ways that we can make the information even more clear for our customers. Best wishes, Little Folks Furniture

Communication was good overall and the beds are made from substantial materials. Delivery was faster than expected, however I am not entirely satisfied with the product given the premium price paid. I contacted customer services and was given a £25 rebate to cover tool costs, however I was promised that the issue would be sent on to the workshop, but have heard nothing more. Overall, I would probably not use again. I have summarized the issues below: 1) The premium delivery was meant to allow me to choose a delivery time to suit me. In reality the delivery company just rang me to ask if they could deliver at a time and when I said it wouldn't work, I just had to wait until they rang with a better slot. Not exactly what I thought it would be. 2) Whilst I am impressed with the wood itself (it’s very sturdy) the finish of the paint was fairly thin. I paid a bit more for hardwood on the assumption I would not have unsightly pine grain coming through the paint in a few years. In reality the paint is thin (2 coats max) and does not appear to have much protection. I suspect it will scratch badly and is already chipping on the top of the ladder. In parts the wood can be seen through the paint and the finish is uneven and has marks where the finish is rough. Looks more like the paint job I'd expect from B&Q. 3) The dowels for connecting the top and bottom bunks were just too long for one end of the bed. When fully inserted they were about 1cm too long / the holes in one of the top bunk ends were 1cm too short. In the end I had to buy a router bit to drill the holes deeper. This also involved a lot of lifting the top bed up and down. This was not easy and meant quite a lot of additional labour. 4) Anyone buying these beds should know that, whilst the bed slats have holes drilled in them, there are no corresponding pilot holes in the bed frame. The instruction suggest just screwing straight into the wood, but it is much too hard for this and the screws will not sit flush. You will need to drill pilot holes. There is also very little room between the place the pilot holes are needed and the edge of the bed. Most modern drills are too big to get into the space, so you will either need a very long drill bit (very hard to find for such a thin bit), to have a multitool, or to hand drill! In the end I bought a multitool to make the 72 (?) holes required. Overall I think these beds are nice, but they were hard to build and were not as well finished as the price suggested. Customer services have been friendly but have not fully addressed my concerns. Plus the beds will be hard to dismantle again and turn into normal beds because of the dowel issue. May as well have bought an IKEA one for half the price.

After lots of looking around I went with little folks furniture as I wanted a really sturdy well made bed. The beds are perfect nice and solid, easy enough for someone to put together. My 2 and 4 year old slept great and love the new beds. I’ve marked down as I feel they have a lot to work on in customer service. First time ordering from them and even though I love the beds I wouldn’t order again as I dont think they would deal with the problem quickly or fairly. My delivery was a shambles and part of the items didn’t show up. (Which would of been fine if sorted correctly) After emailing I felt I was told I was lying about the parts not showing up. (Why would a customer want part of a bed) The email said they had sent out all 4 parts of the bed and it said it was delivered.. This should not have been the response of someone telling you a part was missing.. Well you may have sent them but not all was delivered… I phoned and spoke to someone after this as couldn’t deal with email.. and it was resolved as it had stated the delivery company had messed up and would re- deliver but not a easy job as the delivery company had closed the delivery and don’t know when delivery would be or how long. Well if items are missing it should be down to you not the person who brought the bed or delivery YOU should send a new part for delivery as soon as you can and then sort with your delivery company to get other parts back to you.. I feel once someone has brought your beds you have no care over them or the product which is such a shame. You step up on this and you could be such a good little company.

Dear Gemma, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. - We’re so pleased that you’re really happy with the beds, and we hope that your children enjoy them for many years to come. Having read the notes on the order, we can see that there was a mistake at the courier stage, whereby as you state, three packages were delivered to you initially, instead of four. Occasionally (though luckily not often), parcels can go missing in transit, and so our first port of call is to investigate with the courier, and check that it isn’t still in their local depot. The second stage if there is no luck in finding the missing parcel would be to send out another, however this takes longer to reach the customer than finding the original parcel at the local depot, which is why we always investigate with the courier first. Luckily in this instance, the courier was able to locate the missing parcel, meaning that there was no need to wait longer for another to be sent. We hope that this clears up any concerns and we apologise for any inconvenience caused, and if you do have any other queries or feedback, please don’t hesitate to get back in touch. With best wishes, Fi @ Little Folks Furniture

Bed went together beautifully. Trundle had some flaws. Cam holes were not cleaned out properly so I had to finish off drilling & the quality or spec of screws to secure the base was incorrect. They weren't self tapping and really soft so I had to drill pilot holes. Also the drilled holes were not countersunk so surely they'll catch the mattress as they don't fit flush

Bought the classic beach mid sleeper with chest a drawers and storage for my 4 year old. Plus shelf and high bed pocket sprung mattress. Mixed bag TBH. The bed is good quality, solid and looks lovely. It was difficult to assemble without help. The mattress is very comfortable and good value for money. The accompanying drawers & storage are appalling quality- I would never have bought if I’d seen them in a shop. The description says ‘sturdy’ - but I don’t agree. I really can’t see the chest a drawers lasting long. They feel flimsy and cheap and not at all the same quality as the bed. The shelf hasn’t arrived. My advice would be to buy the bed and mattress but don’t bother with the furniture.

Good morning, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback – it’s always good to receive all comments, both positive and negative. Our beds are made from solid hardwoods, hence their robustness and quality of painted finish, and we’re pleased that you are happy with the bed and mattress. When it comes to the furniture, it’s neither practical nor necessarily better to make it out of the same wood, though we must acknowledge that you are disappointed with the quality of the furniture on this occasion. To let you know more about our design and selection process for this furniture range: We use carefully specified materials and methods to make the furniture fit for purpose. So on the chest of drawers we incorporate proper “ball bearing drawer runners” rather than the common plastic ones to ensure that the drawers will work properly and securely over an extended time. On the bookcase we specify a thicker board for the outer frame to give it more strength and greater durability. - We really do think of the specification carefully and believe that the furniture will stand the test of time. We have noted your comments however, which will be considered for future projects. Should you have any further queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone or email. Best wishes, Fi @ Little Folks Furniture

The chest of drawers were ok, but some of the laminate was peeling off and chipped in places which wasn't great.
