“Fast, reliable, well packed. The couple of times there have been problems they've been sorted out. Ordering in April or December often gets you free chocolate too.”

“generally pleased with service and range, a few points though - delivery via Tuffnells is quick and they are helpful but virtually every delivery arrives damaged in some ways - bent mount board corners, scratched mouldings etc, stuff gets tumbled in the back of the lorry on a regular basis. - for certain standard mouldings I use other suppliers as quality can be variable, especially with bare woods where knots, holes and splits are not filtered out before delivery. - Trade discounts are modest at best and minimum order quantities and amounts can be a nuisance”

“Have been a customer with Lion for probably 15 years - always found them very good to deal with. If there is a problem they will sort it out. Probably the best range of framing supplies around and their range of moulding has improved a lot over the last few years.”

“your company is very easy to work with and delivery is always prompt only thing i would say is we only buy accessories of you and as we are framers i would have thought someone would have tried selling us moulding , mount board etc at present we use mainline average £2k a month ish”

“The biggest change you coukd make would be to scrap your minimum order policy! £30.00 minimum order is, to ne honest, a joke. As the owner of a small framing workshop, I only need things , when i run out, so for me it might only be a small item.”

“Service and products have been good. The downside is the extra charge for carriage. We are not in the Highlands nor islands and if I find good supplies without this charge and who delivers undamaged mount board (the last 2 deliveries were bent) I would be tempted to change. Should I start looking?”

“Lion staff are always very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful when I call. They are knowledgeable about the product lines and do not shy away from problem-solving. On-line ordering is clear, simple and efficient. Orders are despatched quickly and are always very well packaged. Excellent range of framing products,mostly reasonably priced. My only criticism - and in fairness this applies not only to Lion - is that the quality of the chop service has diminished somewhat, presumably because there has been an increased demand for this useful service. Quality of cut is generally not good enough, especially when brittle finishes are seemingly cut with a circular saw, leaving ragged edges. These days I generally add a cm or two to the lengths and trim them down myself.”

“Lion is very good for being able to supply a wide range of fittings and sundries. The moulding is good with minimal faults. The catalogue is extremely informative and gives plenty of tips on how to get the best out of various tools and materials. The on-line system works well but needs to include dimensions of mouldings (it used to).”
