“When I lived in the Midlands I visited Lion often for my framing and other supplies (I am a professional artist who likes to make his own frames - not a professional framer!). Now I live in East Anglia and continue to order from Lion - now using the chop service rather than buying lengths of moulding. Ordering via the website is very simple and I can't fault the service or accuracy of the cuts. The range of mouldings available and the sheer extent of the catalogue means I don't need to look anywhere else for materials or other related products. Very highly recommended.”

“My first order with Lion, a relatively small one. The coloured metal frame looked like the online image and was what I was looking for (unlike the company I used that sent a sickening colour frame). The standard black metal frames look good and the 'chop' service is accurate. Delivery was faster than expected too. My only complaint would be that their hanging hardware is not to my taste. The square sawtooth hangers aren't the type I like to use. I prefer 'side loading' or 'euro' hanging hardware. The side loading hanging hardware allows you to adjust the height of the frame on the wall to millimetre precision so every frame lines up on the wall without having to get the hook in the exact position first time. If they offered that option they'd be perfect!”

“I would certainly recommend Lion the service was first class. I was framing a painting of our dog Pepsi who had died recently as an anniversary present for my wife, the materials came within 48 hours and the quality and workmanship of the pre-cut moldings were excellent. Everything fitted perfectly. Thank you”

“Sent my mitre guillotine blades for sharpening, ok it was more pricey than I usually pay, but WOW. The service was quick, at a glance you can see the blades are properly hollow ground, the staff were polite, helpful, and informative. Great to deal with an organisation that understands what is needed, gets on with the job, and puts you at ease. Well done Lion.”

“Sadly my experience was very poor due to the delivery of the goods ordered online. These days retailers have to cater for customers end to end and if they chose to use a poor supplier then the whole service falls down. It took me a week beyond the original due date to receive the goods I ordered at much inconvenience and frustration. Products, when received, were actually okay but I cannot use Lion any more as I refuse to deal with their chosen delivery supplier.”
