I used the chop service and was delighted with the result. I ordered on line and chose to collect, my order wasn't ready when I arrived but it was done very quickly. The time gave me an opportunity to look at the huge range of frames available. I will definitely be using this service again.

I can always rely on lion to get items out to me in a decent time scale most times it is next day even though its meant to be two or so days ahead

The mountboard I received (a 10 sheet pack) were inadequately wrapped. Two of the four corners of every sheet had been dented. If I order again through Lion I will insist on the corners being protected during transit.

Yes your service for my latest order was excellent BUT I do hate the more recently imposed minimum order level of £50! £30 was bad enough for small businesses. Particularly if you forget or suddenly run low on say one item. You charge for shipping so surely it is not beyond the realms of possibility to allow lower value orders!!

Dear Customer, Thank you for your feedback. I can see you order online regularly. We've tried to simplify our minimum order value since Sept 2017, by allowing you to split £50 across moulding, chop kits, sundries and mount boards. Provided you order 10 sheets of mount boards or more so we can get them to you in good condition. All of our orders are sent by DX/DPD couriers and are a signed for delivery and most of our items are too heavy for the post and cannot be tracked if sent out via post. Hi so I've found the service at times isn't great but other time very good. The problems I've had have always been damaged to mouldings in some way, on occasion it's been through the courier not your fault but on other occasions the mouldings have either not been wrapped properly so move around and get marked/damaged and at times come with differences in the colour etc things like this, example I've had a couple of orders lately where mouldings were damaged due to poor wrapping so for my last order I asked for the mouldings to not be put face to face as they can rub and mark and to be individually wrapped or at least something between each of them, so some arrived face to back nothing between them but others were wrapped now luckily they weren't marked but you can see how that seems daft and is easily rectified. You have always dealt with these issues well though I'm sure Julia dreads seeing my emails, she has helped her service has been good and you've sent replacements. I would recommend using you as these are issue that can be sorted.

At its best Lion is very good indeed. Speedy delivery and helpful in setting up an account. However people haven't called back when promised and occasionally are not as helpful as they could be in finding the right items in the extensive catalogue. The quality of bare wood has varied and some has had a number of faults that have had to be worked around. It's early days in our relationship with Lion' hopefully ordering will become easier as we gain more experience.

On this occasion LionPic service was not up to its normal standard. My order was placed on Friday 10th, invoice received and paid on Monday 13th, goods received on Saturday 18th with items missing!

Very good catalogue and a wide range of hardware. I finished a meeting early at Birmingham Airport, rang to ask if there was time to place and then collect a web order and the lady in sales (unfortunately I can't remember her name) took the order straight away. It was ready by the time I'd made my way to Lion. Very impressed. Getting home was another story due to roadworks....

This review is about my most recent order. On 10th August I ordered some moulding using a next day delivery voucher. As this was a Friday I didnt expect it until Monday or Tuesday. As I didn't get the usual tracking info on Tuesday morning I rang Lion and spoke to Julie who checked for me and rang back promptly. Apparently the delivery had gone AWOL. She said that she would make sure that the delivery was sorted. As I would not be available on Wednesday 15th we agreed that it would arrive at my address on Thursday 16th before 12noon. When I arrived home late on the 15th, there was a card through the door saying my delivery had been left at 11.35 on top of the bins. Two problems:- 1. On the tracking system it said that I had signed for the delivery although I was 70 miles away at the time - so the driver faked my signature! 2. It rain very heavily during the evening before I got home risking the total ruin of the delivery Today (Thursday) I rang Lion and spoke again to Julia who was again very helpful. Comments:- 1. Is it normal practice for DX delivery drivers to fake signatures? 2. Why was the delivery time / date not followed through? 3. Someone has to pay for all these problems - and at the end of the line it is probably the customer through increased prices!!!!!!!!!!!! OK - Rant over ps the staff at Lion are very helpful
