The shop was close to me so this saved delivery fee. The shop appears to be well stocked and that is the reason for 2 stars. As for the rudeness of 1 member of staff I write this review. As you enter there is a small standing space with 2 pieces of perspex in following covid guidelines. The shop appeared to be split into 2 sections with floor to ceiling shelving full of stock. I could see 1 member of staff was busy on the phone at his desk and the other member of staff instead of coming up to the perspex and asking if he could help he shouted at me "could I help" through and over the shelving to which I wondered where the shouting was coming from. I found him sat at his desk at the far end of the shop. He asked me for my name for the order which he could not find. The 3rd member of staff found the bottle with my name on it. I am a paying customer and I do not expect to be shouted at down the shop. A bit of manners would have gone a long way. I am a tiler by trade and this is the first and last time I will be using Lilley Tile and Stone for this reason. This was not a good first impression but thank you for the product.

Robin, we apologise for your experience. Whilst I know that the covid distancing rules have caused some issues in shop communication it is never our intention to make customers feel uncomfortable. I have purchased from Lilley role and stone a few time since this summer for a wetroom diy project. The advice, quality of service, product range, delivery and packaging has been nothing less than superb. The advice and guidance provided has been decisive and clear And very quick response times - this helps a lot when you are unsure. I will be using LT and S again for my next project and thoroughly recommend them to all embarking on Similar projects.. Thank you!

Products OK. Delivery charges over the top. Should be a 3-4 delivery option as well as an expensive next day (whjch actually took 3 days).

David, many thanks for your review. Apologies for any confusion. The delivery you paid for was a standard 3-5 days delivery. Whilst we do accept that sometimes our deliveries can seem expensive, we do not ammortise our prices within our products like our competitors so your price ultimately remains cheaper. Also, sometimes we are also forced to ship products via certain methods as they are chemical in nature, even though low in value. This can look unbalanced when placing smaller orders but the delivery charge does not increase based on quantity or weight. Where we can, we reduce shipping charges for smaller orders but in this case your product unfortunately is picked up as a chemical item with all the regulations that ensue. I hope that helps at least clarify why sometimes the order value ratio to product value in some cases doesn't seem to follow.

Good service etc as usual. But.......Disappointed that when I informed you that one pot of primer had gone off and that I’d managed to use half of it but unfortunately disposed of it before you had told me I needed to take a photo of it for you to deal with. Order was nearly £1200 and more on previous order!

Stock availability did not match the web listing, but rather than just delivering "bad news", Mr Lilley got in touch personally to offer a very generous substitution and ensured it was delivered to site quickly. This no doubt resulted in additional cost to Lilley but he put the customer first. Rare these days so should be commended!

Got an email after original order to say you had to order from Germany, asked if that was ok. I emailed back and heard nothing after that until I rang the day after the date you had quoted me. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and it arrived 2 days later. Other than the lack of communication at the start all was good. Arrived well packaged.
