We ordered a bronze picture light in hope that it would match the bronze picture frame it was to shine above. The said light arrived it was not bronze despite all the paperwork saying so but gold which the label on the box confirmed. After querying this with the company I was told that despite ordering bronze and receiving gold the item was correct as per the manufactures reference number, they are checking their marketing description. The light itself is fine but the colour way out from what I thought I was to receive.

The touch light I ordered didn’t make sense and can’t get it to work. It has 2 prongs and a separate plug which don’t seem compatible.

Very disappointed that you have no idea how hard it is living in rural areas. Charging highlands and island rates in Aberdeenshire ! . I also don’t think you should charge extra anywhere in the Uk. I bet you don’t change extra for Cornwall

Thank you for getting in touch. The carriers denote charges based on certain postcodes unfortunately and these are then subsidised by Lighting Direct. We do our very best to keep charges to a minimum and have not increased our delivery costs despite the significant fuel price rises. The Customer Care Team

Lamp arrived promptly and was exactly what I wanted, however, 2 screws missing and only half the LED filament working. Return processed fairly easily and is being collected promptly. Assuming refund follows as swiftly I may try again.

I placed my order on then14th July and paid for the 1-2 delivery, 3days later not had a message sayimg it has been disparched so will be another few days atleast. The order process was simple and easy to do but as yet I cannot review the product!

The fairy lights are lovely but unfortunately after hanging them I noticed that one of the wires had split so are not working and unable to return as had already tried to install them. I have ordered some more though as they are pretty and good value for the money.

Still waiting for my lights hence the 2 Star review. This is frustrating as I order on Monday and am still waiting as of this evening despite paying for Express Delivery which should be delivered within 1-2 days. No idea what the lights look like, however bought Elstead as I have previously had lights from this brand which have always been quality. Lighting Direct - sort out your delivery and communicate with your customers.

Sincere apologies for the delay. The parcel left us on time on the 31st. However, a delay at the depot resulted in it being caught up with the Jubilee bank holidays of Thurs 2nd & Friday 3rd June which meant delivery did not take place until Monday 6th. Our Teams were on a break then also hence no response to your communications at the time We have of course refunded your delivery charge and regret any inconvenience this situation caused. I called and left a message for customer service to call back. I also sent a contact form to be called back. I have yet to have heard from lighting direct.y request to be called back was not answered.

On placing the order it indicated Next Day Delivery. This was useful as we needed the lights quickly as part of our kitchen installation. I also paid extra for Express Delivery. So we were disappointed to see the order confirmation after our purchase was complete indicated that the order would be split and that we would not receive the main item of the order in good time.

Construction of the lamp is satisfactory and fitting it was straightforward. However, there are no instructions on how the PIR can be adjusted. In my case the light was permanently on until I adjusted the three controls, based on knowledge from a previous security light.

I can’t give more than two stars as the lamp which cannot be fitted arrived with parts missing which have not arrived yet .

Lovely light however couple of problems. The nuts to secure the light to bracket are far tp small in length. It makes it VERY difficult to secure, however managed after alot of fiddling about. This is more of a design fault. Somewhat disappointing that the socket into which the bulb sits in is not straight. You would never know this until you fit the light. I hope this does not have any functionality problems and now having fitted this its much trouble to replace. I hope Lighting Direct takes these points on board.

Elstead PIR coach lantern. Defective. Arrived promptly. Installed it: didn't work. As I had reason to be concerned about my wiring I called an electrician, who confirmed that my wiring is fine and the lamp is rubbish and does not work. Lighting direct's administration is fine and I assume I will promptly get a refund, but on the evidence of this they deal in very inferior products. And I'm massively out of pocket for an unnecessary fee for an electrician.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I am not sure however how we could have described this PIR light differently. Had there been an option to override the sensor we would have stated as we do with other lights that have this function. Bellow are some of the specifications for this product taken directly from our website:- PIR with 6 metre and 120° detection zone Will stay lit for 45 seconds once movement is detected Will only operate once lux levels are 50 or below The Customer Care Team

Well , I really liked their product. But I was very disappointed by the lack of clarity on Tax Duty which hit me (I was ordering from Ireland) hard against the total price and about which there was no mention on the check out page.

Thank you for getting in touch. I completely understand your disappointment however Import Duty being payable is completely out of our hands I’m afraid. This charge is payable on items imported from the UK to the Republic of Ireland. The amount is set and collected by the Irish Government/EU as the UK is no longer a member of the European Union.
