“I know that I won't have to spend a night on the floor again. The irony of situation was that the alarm had been delivered the previous day and was sitting on the table waiting to be connected.!!! I am recommending a Lifeline to all my friends.”

“My first call to the centre received a warm and friendly reply, and made me decide to go with Lifeline rather than the alternative I had tried. The equipment all arrived promptly, and all worked easily. I was surprised, however, that the £30 key safe does not require a code - rather up to four numbers in any order. This seems to me much less secure than an actual 'PIN'. When my mother contacted the centre to 'set up' the equipment, the response was rather routine and brief. It would have been more reassuring to her for the response to be rather more humane - eg Hello, my name is.... I see that you are just getting started. Welcome to Lifeline. I will explain what we need to do next.... To be honest, it was only because I was present too that the actual response didn't leave my mother fazed. This is my main suggestion for improvement - train staff to remember that those pressing their button for the first time may well need a friendly, patient and reassuring voice to welcome them and explain things - before launching in to the scripted routine of 'set-up'.”

“Equipment was sent quickly, and was easy to set up. It's not been used in an emergency situation yet, thankfully, but test calls are answered quickly and politely so I'm sure that if the need arises the service will work perfectly. It's reassuring for my Mum.”
