Now my husband is wearing the lifeline pendant I can go out to the shops knowing he can use the alarm in an emergency

Following rehabilitation after a stroke, I was able to leave a Residential Care Home with dementia patients and return to my home. I initially thought the wrist band button would be the best option for me but couldn't stop initiating the call button by accident, so Lifeline sent me a necklace based button so I could switch; with no extra charges. Very helpful people, very responsive, very kind, just what I need while I readjust.

This has given me great peace of mind knowing that if I need help then it is only a phone call away. My family feel reassured that I am safe and that if I am unable to contact them then there is someone that will do this for me.

We ordered this to help our father stay in his own home in his later years. It gives peace of mind knowing in an emergency he has a simple press of a button to call for help. When ordered it can the next day. My only criticism is that it would be better if there was the option for someone to fit as well as deliver. It’s a little tricky for someone in their 70s and 80’s to set up and test.

Dear David, Thank you very much for leaving your review. I am pleased to hear the alarm is providing you all with peace of mind. Our alarms are designed as a 'plug and play' system, meaning they simply need to be plugged into the phone line and a power socket - if you are able to plug in a standard telephone you would be able to plug in the alarm. This means that our systems can be installed straight away without needing to wait for an engineer. Additionally, we do have a technical team on hand to provide over the phone installation walkthroughs. We are mindful that not all of our customers will be able to install the alarm themselves and therefore we do provide an installation service. However, this is provided through a third party company and comes at an additional cost. Installation can be organised by calling our friendly customer service team on 0800 999 0400. Again, I would like to thank you for your feedback. We can certainly take this on board and take steps to advertise our installation service more clearly. Equipment arrived very quickly. Would have been helpful to be able to access more information online about the setup process. In particular recommendations for who / number of people to list. ie. In an emergency is it better to have fewer local people so that emergency services are contacted sooner, is it would including relatives who don’t live locally ?

I am my husband's carer and bought Lifeline 24 for him so that I will feel at ease when I am out knowing he is only the press of a button away from help if he needs it. The system was easy to set up and the tests were simple too.

I have just signed my 85 year old mum up to lifeline. Everyone I spoke to in the process were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was a very quick and simple process and now I have peace of mind my mum can get help immediately if she falls or becomes ill. I have now recommended it to my friend for her mother too. Well worth it for taking away the worry of an elderly person living on their own.

Initial set up was a bit rushed , but everything was easy to set up, it has provided us with a great sense of relief that our family member can summon assistance in the case of difficulties. We were told that the device needed to be connected to the main telephone socket, but were in fact able to connect through an extension. All working well .
