Very good service when my father fell over. Please pay monthly as I paid a year upfront only used for 2 month's before my father passed away and was not offered any refund at all.

Why is it that existing customers get hit with an excessive charge well over the price for anew customer. I can but an annual subscription for £130 which was reduced from £180 but my fathers direct debit has come through at £250. This appears to be taking advantage of customers that need this equipment and will not challenge the unfairness happening here.

Following the death of my late mother I have had to make 3 calls unnecessary after a bereavement. One to check the return of 2 devices had been received (we were informed there would be email confirmation of such). Second the same again and to explore whether a refund was due from her annual fee. Third to check the same again and this time informed no refund so essentially life connect24 have retained 2/3rds of mums annual fee. This maybe your terms and conditions but it is very insensitive around bereavement and very different to all the other organisations I have had to deal with eg. Stair lift, council tax who have not only issued refunds but have dealt with an emotive situation in a less corporate way.

My mother has the plan and equipment which has been great but the base unit has developed a fault and the service centre stated they were not able to help and advised to contact customer service. I asked if they could request a replacement for my mother and was told no, I then asked of they could transfer me to customer service again told no. The the rest of the day has been trying to contact them without success and has not been a pleasant experience at all, so had to resort to email and see if that generates a response. For those of you who rely on a very good service this may be something you would need to think about, why the call response team can't just put a request to customer service for equipment issue resolution is something I see as being a real requirement for vulnerable customers

I wouldn’t bother more trouble than it was worth. Asked to speak to a manager when things weren’t going well with the service early doors and never heard from them. Tried to cancel as the alarm as circumstances sadly changed and waiting for someone to answer for 30mins. Once they answered I was told the cancellation team had gone home. Called the next day as missed a call from them and waited 30mins again. Waited a further 10-15mins while they tried to contact the cancellation team. Then to be told no one was available and the person on the line would just do it. Asked for my email to send the details for return and that was it! An hour and 15mins for 30 seconds of someone taking an email address. Why that couldn’t be done on the first call I’ll never know. Plus if you cancel past the 30days you don’t get even a partial refund. Don’t expect them to remember any pertinent details about your case either. Someone left me a message about my “mum”. The alarm was for my Grandad.

Be cautious about investing here. They are quick to take your money, but when it's time to withdraw, they ignore your calls and emails, eventually vanishing. I ended up losing $37,455 to them. Luckily, I came across a contact (dorisashley71 (@) gmail.com) who specializes in recovering lost funds and tracking fraud. Thanks to their help, I was able to recover my money. Jan 2025 - I just upgraded to the new digital unit for a £40 charge. I'd had an email inviting me to upgrade a few weeks before Christmas. My existing unit was having battery problems, so i decided now was the right time to get it swapped out. Delivery was next day. Setting up was very easy. I plugged it into a spare network port on my broadband router with the provided ethernet cable. I understand it will also connect over wifi, but that was not required in my situation. I had a concern about it working in the event of a power cut, given that the broadband router would go down. I was advised that the unit has a 4G sim card and so will use the mobile phone network should the need arise, and that this is how it works normally if you don't have a broadband connection at home. If you have neither Broadband nor a 4G signal, then this product might not be for you. The personal alarm button and the wrist holder it clips into is much bulkier than the previous one and feels uncomfortable on the wrist and will snag on long sleeves, so i opted to put it on the lanyard and wear round my neck. The lanyard needed a knot tied to shorten it (it's very long!). A pre-paid postage label is provided to send the old unit back, and so it's going back in the box that the new one arrived in, simples.

Beware of sneaky hidden price hikes. My mother took this out the basic option with an annual fee of £119 five years ago. Turns out they have increased her fee by £20-£30 each year and she's now paying £220/yr - considerably more than the published full price on their website of £180. They reduced it to £180 for next year when I complained, but I'm most unhappy about this as a business practice.

I had to change my Lifeline as I now only have a mobile phone. The new system was really easy to set up and although I am 89 and not very technically minded I was able to do it myself .when I tested it the person was very helpful too. The wristband is however much bulkier than the previous one and the strap more difficult to adjust.As I have a really tiny wrist I have had to cut the strap down quite a bit but it is comfortable to wear although I have noticed that it takes a long time to dry after a shower.
