Waited a long time to save.
Now the wait is over and more than worthwhile. The fit, quality, the presentation and LANX customer service & focus is every reason to buy from this British company. Ordered 2 sizes for choice of fit (as suggested by Marv). I'm normally a 10, so i ordered a 9 & 10 after reading reviews.
Both pairs arrived promptly, I tried the 9 size firstly and they were the correct size fitting for me. Parcelled up the other pair size 10 and returned them to LANX by following their easy to follow returns process (no printer required). My card account was credited promptly on the receipt of the shoes back LANX. Email updates recieved throughout the returns process.
Thanks for making my first pair of LANX a pleasure to purchase. They will certainly not be my last. Your customer attentive focused service makes you the best company I've dealt with in many many year's. If you own them, wear them 👌”
“I won't be buying from you again. No loyalty points added to my account and no response to my email. I bought from you rather than the likes of Holland Cooper, Fairfax and Favour, as I thought I was supporting a "different" company that actually was interested in it's customers. “I purchased a pair of Lanx Whalley boots on 22/03/24, they are beautiful leather, really comfortable, didn't take long to break in. All very good, with the exception of a very annoying tongue in the right boot, which keeps drifting to the right.
I've tried wearing different socks, tying the laces tighter, but it made no difference. So I emailed Lanx to see if they could help / advise.
Bearing in mind I have had these boots for exactly one month, I was extremely disappointed with their response. I have the option of sending the boots back to them and for a charge of £25 they will fix them. They have also 'helpfully' suggested that "It might be faster to have these looked at someone more local to you. For your convenience, I have linked the Society of Master Shoe Repairers, where you can find the best cobblers near you."
Clearly the boots were faulty at the time of purchase, one month ago. I am utterly disgusted that the company take no responsibility for any manufacturing issues that occur post purchase, even within the first month.
Very sadly, I cannot recommend Lanx, nor will i shop with them again.”
“The boots I bought are amazing quality and very comfortable. I had a small issue with the laces which after contacting them I got a very quick reply and solved my issue and more. Couldn't recommend them more if you're in the market for a boot that helps support small businesses!”
“Beautiful, well- made, sturdy boots. Unfortunately after months and months of multiple wears, wearing with thick socks and even a good quality shoe stretcher these boots absolutely shred my heels to pieces if I wear them for any amount of time. Wanted to be a Lanx convert but sadly they don’t work for me and I wouldn’t buy another pair.”
“I am extremely disappointed with Lanx, a brand I initially regarded as reputable. Despite purchasing shoes for £180 a year ago with a 6-year warranty, they have quickly deteriorated. When I approached Lanx for a resolution under the warranty, their initial response was that the shoes couldn't be fixed in-house.
Following my query, they offered a 50% discount on a new pair, a suggestion I found unreasonable as it doesn't address the existing problem. Later, they failed to follow up on their promise to provide an alternative solution. This morning, they changed their stance, stating the shoes could be repaired but at my own cost, which directly contradicts the warranty terms.
This series of events has significantly eroded my trust in Lanx, undermining their commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.”
“I've been always a fan of boat shoes, had plenty pairs in my life but these Withnell brown suede are definitely one of the best that I ever had, beautiful, super comfy, quality built and in my case, 8 is a perfect fit.
Fair price for such a nice pair of shoes, delivered on time, really professional.

“I bought a pair of Garstang boots at the Moreton show in September 2023 and was impressed by the sale team, style of the boots and the values of the company. I was aware that I was paying a premium price for the boots but I was happy this as it was inline with the fact I was told the boots could be repaired by Lanx meaning this could be a pair of boots for life. Unfortunately after 2 months and barely wearing the boots in the leather under the front tab started to fail. When I inquired with Lanx about their repair service expecting that this would be covered under some sort of warranty due to a defect in the leather, I was told that I must have damaged the boots and I had to find a local craftsman and I was responsible for covering all the costs. I expressed my disappointment in the original reply and was then told to return the boots to Lanx to investigate. I return the boots on the 2nd Dec and at this point (8th Jan) Lanx has had them for over a month with zero update on a resolution. I have asked for an update twice but each time I have been told they will get back to me with an update but each time I never get a reply. I feel I have been taken advantage of as a customer and am seeking a refund.”

“TLDR: UK ladies sizes are incorrect. They won't honour replacement at correct size.
Ordered a pair of boots in a uk ladies size 8. I have ordered an 8 my entire adult life. Boots arrived too small. I asked to send back and have correct size sent to me. Customer service manager Jason ignored my request to arrange a free return and replace , and to honour the first time purchase discount i attracted on a replacement pair.
Cost me 2.50 to be treated like rubbish. Shame as they would have had a life long customer.
Do not recommend. Purchase from this company if you are willing to risk poor customer service.”
“They Fit! Just purchased a pair of Dibnah boots S12. Came home from my holidays and there they were waiting. Superbly made, quality oozing from every stitch. Wide enough for me (all others I have tried pinch and are too narrow in the ankle and the foot - DMs in particular!)
