“There is no doubt that Lampwise has the best selection of light fittings in the area and it was a pleasure looking for lamps etc to refurbish our house. The service was exemplary and in a few weeks our order arrived . One lamp, a wall light ,needed a different operating mechanism and Lampwise gave us advice and this was Carried out by their team. However the mechanism broke whilst being turned on, after a few weeks use. I sent photographs of the damage to Lampwise expecting them to rectify the problem. They wanted me to remove the light fitting and return the lamp to them all at my expense. We had to have an electrician fit the wall light and I and arranged for him to return to take the lamp off the wall as the fitting was live . He found the adjustment that Lampwise had made to the wall light was rough edged and had consequently caused the damage to switch mechanism .He was able to rectify the problem there and then and refit the fitting. Lampwise failed to acknowledge their responsibility in providing a fitting that was not fit for purpose. This sadly is a poor reflection on their attitude to customers once they have paid for their purchase .”

This customer called us to notify us of a problem with the product they they had ordered from us, approx 7 months ago Customer was advised to bring the item back to our showroom for testing i.e. fixing, (we can't offer credits for electrical service nationwide as these fee's vary dramatically) customer was advised this could be repaired on the visit to the showroom, (Free of charge) so no need to again return to the store to collect the mended item. As we have a full time employed electrician. All was agreed and we was told by the customer she was going on holiday and will return the fitting to showroom upon their return. Then we received a lengthy email some time after explaining the customer had their own electrician to look at it and mend the item. The customer wanted us to pay for their Electrician we explained we was unaware of what the customer was doing and now another unknown electrician has altered the light fitting this has affected the product warranty. we wasn't charging for any repair it was all free of charge. But the customer knowingly went against of terms of sale. As a lampwise partner myself i feel was not given a chance to deal with this customer correctly, in which the way we have been for 19 years successfully a company like us have terms because we sell electrical items. The customer was looked after by the company director when they visited the showroom, we did the best price for the products beating every online retailer.

“Comment: Dear Lampwise Staff Just a short note to Thank You for processing my recent order so quickly and efficiently On Monday I phoned Lampwise to make an enquiry about a few items. As the stock had to be double checked I was advised that I would be phoned back with the details. This promise was kept and I subsequently placed an order. My full order was delivered to my home this morning (Wednesday). An absolutely BRILLIANT service! A big THANK YOU to ALL the Lampwise Staff who were involved in my order. Keep up the good service. “Having recently moved we felt it was time to review the inherited lighting set up (mainly spots…) in our new home. Pam and Nadia visited us, assessed the existing fittings then made some excellent suggestions to enhance and/or replace various lights. They provided a very friendly service, suggested some interesting ideas and were totally customer focused. A very pleasant experience all round ? A few weeks later our new lights were delivered and then installed by Steve the electrician. Our kitchen has been transformed from dark and dingy to daylight conditions (result!) Our living room now sports coordinated Tiffany-style wall lights with a matching lamp standard as well as some snazzy new reading and uplighters too. Let there be light! We are delighted with our new fittings and thoroughly recommend Lampwise if you need help and advice. The staff can offer you guidance about what to consider. They have an amazing selection of fittings in the shop as well as many more in their wide array of catalogues and, of course, online. It was a truly illuminating (!) experience and, yes, we’ve been back to buy more lights…”

“Thank you very much - I am immensely happy with the lights! I have been looking for some time now for an online seller that delivers Där/David Hunt lights internationally and that also at fair shipping rates. Good prices - fast delivery - solid packaging and a personal touch, that is rarely seen nowadays. (A bad experience with an ebay seller some time ago was quite the opposite.) I also found a wall lantern here, that was out of stock anywhere else. All in all a very pleasant experience! Happy to come again!”

“Having 'ordered' and paid for a ceiling lamp on another website, giving discounts, promising a 'quick' delivery. I gave up, turned out they were happy to take my money, advertise it as being in stock, but in reality this was not the case. I needed my ceiling lighting quickly, after having wasted so much time on other sites. So I called up Lampwise, they checked if they actually had the item in stock and by 10am the following day, there was my ceiling lamp. Simple. Excellent service, so much so that I went back to them to order more lights. In short BRILLIANT ( sorry no pun intended).”

“Just bought my fourth Tiffany lamp from Lampwise, add in the two ceiling lights and that makes six, which makes me a regular customer! They have a lovely selection. The staff are friendly, helpful and know about translating the rubbish we now have to deal with where light bulbs are concerned, so I get all those there too. Obviously they have more lighting than just the Tiffany ones, so pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed.”
