“I recently had a wonderful buying experience with Lamps2udirect.com, wherein I found them to be extraordinarily helpful, cooperative and understanding. I was referred to them by clicking on one of their offers while browsing for lamps on the eBay platform. My order consisted of 3 mini-neon lamps of the under-cabinet variety, and Lamps2u had a great offer on this item. On eBay, I would normally pay by PayPal, which, through long-established use is set up to use my debit card without the need for any configuration. However, since the purchase was conducted outside of eBay, I had to re-configure PayPal to use the debit card for some reason. Unfortunately, I had forgotten and was unaware that my PayPal account was (I have since updated it) set up to use an old address as my default shipping address. So, naturally, when the order was completed, I was horrified to discover that it was to be shipped to my OLD address, which is about 150 miles away!! I immediatly sent off an email to Lamps2u in hopes of heading off the unfolding disaster. I also tried to phone them, but it was the middle of the night, so understandably, there was no way to get in touch with them straight away. So it looked like I would have to sweat it out until the commencement of the next day's business hours, at least! At this point, I was almost resigned to the fact that I would probably lose my order, and might have to repeat it and pay twice in order to get my lamps, or at the very least, I would have to go through a long-winded rigmarole of trying to explain how this had happened while getting passed from pillar to post in order to finally be able to persuade the firm to ship my order to my new address. The order was digitally complete and closed, and so they might understandably, and quite fairly be extremely reluctant to alter the shipping address post-event in this fashion. This is why I was so very relieved and grateful when I received an email message from Martin at Lamps2udirect.com to assure me that my order would be updated and shipped to my new address!! That was it. No argument, no arm waving, and no delay. My order was back on track and would be shipped out to me straight away. And sure enough, my 3 lamps arrived a couple of days later, securely packaged within a sturdy cardboard tube with plenty of bubble wrap to protect them - and all 3 were in perfect condition, and all 3 worked just fine. I think the level of cooperation and understanding shown by Lamps2udirect.com in this instance is something exceptional for a firm that trades online in this day and age. It''s more like what you might expect from a village post-master shop where they know you and go out of their way to help you out where they can. I have retained the little compliments slip they sent with my order, and I have decided that whenever I need to obtain some speciallised lamps in future, my first port of call will be Lamps2udirect.com.”
