“I called in to your shop in Bowness with my wife we usually have a look round your shops wherever we visit, I've bought a few jackets over the years they have always been good quality, I tried a derwent in black on and really liked it and should have bought it but didn't, by chance you sent me an email offering 20% off for that weekend only I don't know if I had been on your website or if it was just a coincidence that it came through a week later, anyway I thought it was a decent offer so having tried the jacket on in the bowness shop it was a perfect fit so I knew what size I needed I decided to buy it, I usually like to try clothes on to make sure they fit right and try to support shops rather than shop online, but it was a straightforward process it was delivered when I was told it would be, jacket is as I hoped it would be very happy with it, don't ever cut down on your shops though I know it's hard in this day and age but I like to see and try on what I'm buying Regards John Oliver”

“Beautiful Leather Bag - very easy to order on line, super fast tracked delivery- this was my first time ordering from Lakeland Leather on line as i’ve always bought in store but i have to say this was super easy and hassle free and my bag which was £209, selling in store for £139 and i got 10% off for ordering on line came extremely well packed to protect it in the post - very happy buyer A+”

“Bought 3 items one a perfect fit. The others were two sizes is same top. Hard to know which size to order. The perfect fit was a medium. The others were medium and lard but we’re both too tight so returned them”

“After a false accusation by a member of staff in the Keswick store and a complaint made to Customer services, I received an email stating that I would have to wait for any apology or refund because the head of customer services and the MD are off on Fridays. I caution anyone purchasing something they may later seek to return. This company apparently have no regard to what customer care really means. Obviously their ability to rely on passing trade means they can jettison the need to respect the individuals who enter their stores”

Hi Allison, The point of the reply to your email yesterday was to inform you that the necessary people (at the right level) who need to look into your allegation were unavailable to do so yesterday, and so would take up this matter as soon as possible. We are not refusing to issue a refund, we are simply wanting to understand both your point of view and that of the store. I would like to think that given your position you can understand that. Once we have spoken to the store team we will be in contact. I apologise for any distress this issue is causing you, we will do our utmost to rectify the situation, but given the accusations we want to handle this in a thorough, professional manner.
