Not the quality I would expect for the price. One size does not fit all. In leather gloves/mittens.

My first order wasn't delivered and I just had an email to say that it had been taken back to the depot by the courier. When I telephoned customer service, the lady I spoke to was very apologetic and told me that my order had been returned and I had been refunded. I reordered the item and have been awaiting delivery all day today but nothing has arrived as yet and yet I'm receiving emails asking how Lakeland did with my order. Obviously, I'm not very satisfied, as you can imagine.

I received notification that the goods ordered would be delivered on Monday. I woke Tuesday & suddenly realised they had not been received but, a little later, I received a further text advising that they would be delivered that day. The delivery man was rude & surly, complaining that he had difficulty finding the house (the cottage is right on the High Street with a large, white 40 on the postbox) & he had just been on the point of giving up & going away. The bag is larger than expected, not suitable & is being returned.

A review of two parts. On the one hand, we have a probably well made,n good looking product at a reasonable price. On the other, we have a master class in how to disappoint, antagonise and probably lose customers. The purchase, a black handbag which will probably delight my wife, deserves a good mark. Customer relations is another matter. My catalogue was stamped "Quote AW10,10% OFF " on the back it stated use in-store, on-line, over the phone. Nowhere on the on-line process was there a field to allow me to enter AW10. So there is 10% gone because I could not enter the required code. I realise that there needs to be a cut off for post free, but having just spent £69:99 on a handbag I felt more than a bit ripped off to be told"Spend 1p to get free postage". If you are to give out this sort of advice you really should provide items of a cost below the cost of postage to allow the customer to take advantage, Your cheapest item in the catalogue was more than £20;00., So there goes another £4:00,Oh sorry £3:99. The cost of your products gives lots of leeway to set a better thought out Post free limit. But someone in your company just doest think.

20/11/2021 I bought a sheepskin coat and shoes from you, I picked up the sheepskin coat a week ago. In turn, the shoes that I bought from you are no longer available for sale. The question is how long do you have to wait for the purchased goods? Order # 3000125759

Disappointed that the wrong colour was sent, ordered black but got navy. As I needed a new one (the old one had fallen apart) and not having time to get it returned I have accepted it. The new bag says navy on it quite clearly

The goods I ordered came nice and quickly. However I wasn’t overly impressed with the quality and fit of the boots so I returned them. I had not realised either that you didn’t offer a prepaid returns service so it’s doubtful I would order from you online again

I ordered a size 7 I got an 8 xl glove which is massive on me. can’t be bothered sending it back I’ve got 3 Lakeland jackets won’t get another sadly after this..,,:-(

Took a long time to arrive, thought the boots were poor quality. The zips were faulty where they were folded over in the box

Having been pleased with many Lakeland Leather products in the past I ordered with confidence a new pair of mid calf lenght leather boots - though I was disappointed with the lack of choice - there being only one pair of leather mid calf length boots in your entire range and only one choice of colour available to buy. Why do you stock on line so many cheap non leather boots when your company boasts it sells quality leather products? Anyway te boots I ordered arrived promptly in store and I went to collects them, trying them quickly in store for size - they fitted really well. However, when I got them home and had a closer look I found a serious stitching flaw in the leather work at the top of one of the boots on the front which ruined its appearance and was uncomfortable against my shin. So I made another trip to my local Lakeland Leather shop to take them back. The staff in store were lovely - I know them well - but when they tried to order me a replacement pair I was told there were no others available in the country and no chance of any future production. Why? It is only the start of winter! The boots had been checked and packed by someone whose initials were CC - obviously not checked carefully enough! So I had to get a refund and leave the boots to be returned to the factory which means on this occasion at least I am left disappointed by the lack of choice, availability and poor quality control of your leather footware range this season. Please let me know if any you have any plans to remedy this.

Firstly, thank you for the review. We appreciate the detail and I will do my best to answer all of the points. Lack of choice - unfortunately, just as you will have heard in the news regarding the larger retailers having late stock arrival, we too are suffering, we've just not got the publicity team to make the BBC News! We've not got the full range of footwear (jackets, handbags, belts, slippers, etc) available yet, and I'm sure you can imagine, we'd rather be offering our customers a wider selection, than a limited range... but we think good things come to those that wait (at least we hope!) Leather and non-leather - our customers want a range of choice, and non-leather offers a cheaper alternative. We offer faux leather jackets and sheepskin coats (clearly labelled) for the same reason. We try to ensure whatever material our products are made from, they are made to the highest standards... which leads to the next point... The fault - It's difficult to put it down to anything other than human error. We're busy and unfortunately we make mistakes. We're sorry. No more stock - currently, as per the first reason, we are low on stock. However, it would appear there's been a bit of misunderstanding regarding the replenishment of the Lotus Jolanda Boot in Tan. It is due to be with us early next week. So, if you've not already found your alternative winter boots, you may still be in luck... and I'll mention to CC that they should do a proper check this time ;-) I hope these explanations can give you some reassurance. I bought a lovely leather jacket from your store in Beverley and the young lady who served me was a delight. Unfortunately upon returning home I noticed a fault on the zip I rang the store straight back and the same lady told me she would get another one. I got a phone call a month later to say it was ready to collect and that’s where it went downhill, the lady who served us needs a lesson on customer services she was rude stamped about and had face on her that would sour milk and made me feel it was my fault that the jacket was faulty. Never will shop there again.

I bought online Ross Casual Fit Leather Jacket sold 50% from its original price (279£). In the receipt they say slight blemishes and shading are natural characteristics of the material, ok I accept that, but what it is not acceptable for a new product to discover that the satin lining for one of the sleeves is torn off and I had to sew carefully the satin lining. I didn't send it back because was not on its original unused condition and threw the stickers and packaging. I give 4 pts for delivery and packaging. 0 point for care and verifying the product before dispatch. I doubt it was totally new

Mr Elzein, I'm very sorry to hear that the lining for one of the sleeves was torn. Our products are all checked and pre-protected before they are dispatched to customers, although this does not extend to checking the internal sleeve lining, which we have never previously had an problems with. I'm glad you've managed to fix the sleeve, and assure you that if you had contacted us when you noticed the lining was damaged we would have done our utmost to rectify the problem, with or without the stickers. Bought a bag that was not fully stained came with aquality contol checklist which was tickedto much messing to return by post so took it to shop 18 miles away swopped it for a fully stained bag it is still nice to go shopping

The coat I bought was lovely however it is too small. I wear 14/16 and thought 'Large' would be big enough. Your 'Extra Large' size appears to be out of stock so I can't get a replacement. The 'Large' sweater fits ok so I was puzzled about the coat. The 'one size' sweater is bulky and unflattering. Overall, I'm disappointed.

Hi Colette, I'm sorry to hear about that you weren't happy with the Lindsay wool mix duffle coat. It's been a popular style for us. The coat we used for photography should be the same as the one you have seen on the website, so if there's a particular problem we'd love to know and will of course refund you.
