“It was Christmas Eve, and I'm ashamed to say I was a few items short for the big day. I'd heard about Kin through the Independent Birmingham mailshot and had looked at the website a few times so decided to head to the store. I was starting to panic about the impending deadline when Iwalked into a tranquil paradise that was Kin. I found some beautiful items that the recipients all thought were great. Stuff they hadn't seen before and some brilliant minimalist items! I had a great chat with the owner who was really helpful, and most of all patient with me as I lapped the shop about 20 times. He was telling me about Scandinavian Christmas and let me take my time as I allocated gifts in my head! I left the shop in a far better mood than when I walked in. What struck me afterwards was how good quality my purchases were, my total bill was far less than I would have expected. If you're looking for modern and well made gifts, do me a favour and head to Kin before you go to John Lewis.”
