Hi Georgina, Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry for the confusion, we don't currently sell ladies trousers so it is the mens trousers that were ordered. Rather than formal trews these are sold for casual use and are especially popular with golfing tours. I see now that a refund has been made. ~Rach

I required a kilt for a friend's wedding approx 6 weeks after I was thinking about ordering so I called buyakilt.com to make sure I would be able to get it on time. Although I was assured it would arrive, I believe I would not have actually received it in time if I had not started chasing up with emails a couple of weeks ahead. This however is a small gripe. My main issues were with the size of the kilt and with the quality of the sporran (and jacket). I ordered a kilt with a waist size of 38" yet received one labelled 39" after already rounding up as advised on their measurement guide page. When I tried it on for the first time I realised it would not be staying up on its own so dancing at my friends wedding would be playing the lottery as a true Scotsman on the day. The sporran came apart in my hands before I even got to the venue. I had to hold one of the tassles on with a safety pin. It felt like something you would get out of a joke shop. The jacket and waistcoast were not of a quality I would expect. Very flimsy. I would not order from buyakilt.com again nor would I recommend any friends to. If you live in London or closer to Scotland its worth buying train tickets to Edinburgh or driving somewhere more rural and paying something similar (if not less) for a higher quality better fitting kilt package.

Ordered a boys sporran with chain belt. Common sense would suggest the chain belt would be for a boy, but no, the chain belt was adult sized. Added to that, one end of the chain had a broken link and missing clip.

Placed order on Tuesday and paid for express delivery (1day). One item was out of stock so order ended up not being sent until Thursday but I still didn't receive it in the promised 1 day express delivery time. The order was therefore too late and when I returned it I didn't get my express delivery fee refunded! Very disappointed.

Samantha and I spent quite a time emailing each other, she kept asking me to check my measurements and then asking if I wanted to make any changes etc. I did say that I would prefer not to have a back pocket and that I woulid like ibelt loops as well as buttons for braces and I am problem guilty of confusing the tailor by asking for the trouser bottoms to be ' boot cut' (a standard cut for the Scottish regiments that wore trews). Just before Easter she emailed me to say that a mistake in making my trews had been made - they weren't fish tail trews. I emailed to say no thanks, fish tail I ordered fish tail I want. Last week, 25th or 26th April the re-worked trews arrived. They have the unwanted rear pocket but are missing the belt loops and they have so much excess material in the legs that I could easily get both my legs into one leg of the trews, the boot cut was totally wrong, the tailor had tried to ' boot cut' the inner seam. So the end result is I have take the trews to a local tailor for remedial work, he says he can correct the boot cut problem but is doubtful he will be able to do too much about the baggy trouser legs because trews have only an inside seam. To taper normal trousers is no problem because there is a seam on both sides of the leg but with trews there is only an inside seam. The service I got from buys kilt.com was superb. The end result is maybe a pair of expensive trews that will end up in the 'charity bag'.

Had to chase my order, took couple of weeks to eventually receive, product was lovely though but would have been better if came in nice display/storage box

The item you had selected is custom made up to order, and then as you know the finish you requested was unavailable which slowed down the process a little. I am glad that they have arrived with you safely, hopefully the upgraded postage meant that they arrived with you on time. The cufflinks were lovely but unfortunately the delivery was not. I had ordered on the 9th Dec 2013, along with many items from many companies, it was because of this that I did not realise until the week before Christmas that they had not arrived. Despite all efforts by staff their supplier let them down and the goods were not received until the second week of January! Moral of the story, keep track of your order!

Photo on website shows two doubled flashes. Real life as delivered only two single flashes.
