“I recently had my haircut after four months. I was initially a little worried about the new process with masks etc...but all the staff were very attentive as ever.I felt very relaxed.Loved the head massage&the massage chair while having my hair washed.I even had a blow dry which I wasn't sure was going to be allowed with all the new rules.Really like my new haircut.Looking forward to going back.Highly recommend going.😊”

“The only place I trust with my hair! They really listen to what you want but also work with the natural properties of your hair to make sure it 'works'. Everyone is very friendly and I have always received very useful advice or learned something new each visit. Anne did my hair for our wedding a couple of years ago and it was perfect. Thank you.”

“I have visited Anne Veck since moving to Oxford more than two years ago, and generally have been happy with the service, but my latest visit - my first hair cut post-lockdown - was a huge disappointment and I felt the quality of the cut was very poor. It was only on getting home and looking in the mirror properly that I realised my hair - cut above the shoulders - was longer on one side than the other. The cut was incredibly poor, unprofessional and looked like no care had been taken. I received quite a poor response from the front desk when I called up to ask if I could return to the salon to have the cut fixed. I received no apology and was told they 'might' be able to fit me in. I was eventually offered a 15 minute slot the next day, which I attended. Marisa was lovely, and sorted out the cut as best she could. I think it is rather telling that I sat there for 20 minutes while she tried her best to sort out the length, blend the layers in properly (which were awful), and also fix the shape which she informed me was also different on each side. Not being able to see the back of my head I hadn't realised how bad the shaping was until it was pointed out. Ultimately I've waited four months for a much-needed hair cut and now I'm left embarrassed by it, wearing it up in a bobble and wearing hats until it grows out enough. I'm due to get married in October so I only hope it grows out enough by then. Thank you to Marisa for being so accommodating and sorting it out as best she can, it does look and feel better than the original cut, but I'm just really disappointed with my experience. I have given two stars rather than one as my past experiences have been better. Kind regards, Louise Hill”

“What a joy to be back at Anne Veck and great to see familiar faces. I was given a warm welcome and was impressed by all the hygiene and social distancing measures in place. And none of this stopped me from enjoying the usual great experience of getting my hair cut and styled by the lovely Kelly, who’s taken the time to get to know me, my hair, and my likes and dislikes. I’ve received lots of compliments on my hairdo, just as I always did, and it’s lifted my spirits no end. I highly recommend Anne Veck.”

“I had such a lovely experience at Anne Veck salon. Nicola did a wonderful job. She gave me a shoulder length variation on the shag hairstyle, with gorgeous long layers. She also used lovely scented products like the nono shampoo. I'm so happy with my cut. Thank you!”

“This is a wonderful salon with amazing staff: very professional and very nice with the clients. Not only is the salon beautiful, but it's also impeccably clean and all the staff is taking great care in providing the best service possible. I got a big haircut with Anne, and she did a perfect job, exactly what I wanted! She gave me several options at various stages, and did a great job at assessing what kind of haircut would work well with my hair type and with the length I wanted. Booked for colouring soon with them as well, and I am sure the job will be absolutely excellent!”

“I had the pleasure to have my hair done by Anne Veck for my wedding and she did an amazing job. I was really happy with the result. I have been going to Anne Veck salon for years and the team there is lovely and has always been providing good advice. They were even able to fix a balayage that had been badly done in another salon. I also love how much Anne Veck works on green initiatives. This is something I really value as a costumer. I would highly recommend this salon.”

“Sylvian stepped in at the last minute when my usual hairdresser was sick. I’m pretty nervous with new hairdressers, but he put me at ease. At the time I’d avoided going on a ski trip as COVID had hit the alps. We chatted about me growing my pixie cut out.... little did I know we would be going into lockdown with no hairdressers open. 8 weeks since the cut & he really did cut it in a easy to grow out way, and I am very very grateful!”

“Service beyond the call of duty from my fabulous hairdresser Anne Veck! With Covid 19 resulting in lock-down, my once coiffured head of hair is getting shaggier each day. To make matters worse my hairdryer blew up, shortly followed by my travelling one (both of which Anne Veck Oxford had supplied many years ago). So imagine my surprise and delight on contacting Anne to order a new one, that she delivered it in person by cycling to Steventon from Oxford to make the delivery - a 50km round trip. This takes hair care and customer service to a whole new level - bravo!”

“I always enjoy the experience of visiting the Anne Veck salon in Oxford. The delightful Alastair used to cut & colour my hair beautifully but he’s sadly left and the last time, Anne did my roots 🙏 and I’m delighted with the result. Not only is she an excellent hairdresser but she’s Intelligent & very funny. But also a couple of years ago she spotted a patch on my scalp & recommended that I should see the doctor, which I did & was sent to The Churchill hospital where I was examined from top to toe & a BCC was removed. Fortunately it was non malignant but I must thank you Anne for your vigilance....and all the excellent cuts & colours I’ve had. Bisous”

“I so enjoyed the whole experience at Anne Veck. Sylvian was so nice, and he gave good advice, while not pushing me. I was so happy with my hair coming out of the hairdresser, and now, more than a week later, I'm still happy with it, which is much more unusual!”

“Sylvain has magic hands. Head massage during hair wash was so good, I could’ve nodded off! As for the cut, I’m so happy for multiple reasons: 1) it’s flexible and allows me to style it in different ways; 2) I must’ve had one of the last cuts before the salon closed so I got in just in time! When it reopens, I’m looking forward to Sylvain doing what he does with such precision and style. He’s new to Oxford, super friendly and easy to talk to, and I urge anyone to make an appointment with him. Merci et à plus!”
