“Ventured back after lockdown, deliberately choosing an early morning slot. Covid safety is being taken seriously and while the experience can't be exactly as it was, everyone is working to keep the ambiance as relaxed as possible. Feel so much better for having professionally styled hair again! Sylvain did a brilliant job of course, despite the trials of the face mask. The whole experience made me more confident of returning for a colour appointment when its needed.”

“love this salon and support its green mission- they are way ahead of other salons in how to be greener, cut down on plastic and energy. My last haircut was a disappointment. I shared a photo of the style I am 'growing towards' and just wanted a trim and shape. My hair was cut totally short and the hairdresser said he changed his mind,without consulting me first. I am debating whether I will go back.”

“This was my first haircut at Anne Veck and I had my hair done by Sylvan who was fantastic. He was the first hairdresser ever to look at my scalp as well as my hair to see what shampoo and conditioner would suit me. He also understood the style I wanted and adapted it to suit my face perfectly. Would highly recommend.”

“after being let down twice by a local salon, I decided to find someone more professional and experienced and after reading about anne veck i decided to contact the salon , the next day i was invited to the salon to meet anne who made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and anne went out her way to squeeze me in for a perm within a week of first meeting her , my experience was amazing , everyone in the salon is so friendly and make you feel comfortable and i love the way my hair turned out , will definitely be going there more often :)”

“I came in to see Sylvain for his help with my hair which was very orange after a previous bayalage with someone else, he really understood what I wanted and looked after me really well. I’m so happy with the results and looking forward to coming back again soon. The staff in this salon are very professional and friendly and it has a great atmosphere. Sylvain is an artist and I feel very lucky to have discovered him!”

“This was my first visit to Anne Veck. I picked this salon because of their commitment to serving all hair types, and since I have Afro hair I'm always nervous about how it will be handled in non-specialised salons. Thankfully, I was taken care of by Nicola who was such a lovely stylist! She was professional, but also very friendly and knowledgeable about how to take care of textured hair. She gave me great recommendations, and was so gentle with my hair. She also talked me through everything that she was doing, which put me at ease and made me feel that I could trust her. I cannot say enough great things about Nicola, she really made my experience as stress-free and fun as possible. I left with moisturised hair and a nice new shape, all under 1hr and at a very reasonable price! Overall, I was glad to see that at Anne Veck they don't just talk about inclusion and diversity, but really practice it. I had a great first experience here, and would happily come back again for another visit!”

“I had my hair cut by Nicola and it was a fantastic experience! I love my new hair and can highly recommend. A major plus is that this is a sustainable salon that is conscious of the environment and making a huge effort to reduce waste and operate at carbon zero levels. Wonderful :)”

He listened to my vague ideas about what I wanted carefully and then built on these with his expertise and knowledge. “My sister and I met up at Anne Veck Oxford to get our hair coloured/cut post-lockdown, as a treat for my sister's 50th birthday. Sylvain and Kelly were our stylists. The consultations were carried out with lots of discussion, positivity and excitement at what we could have done and 2 1/2 hours later we have styles and colours we both absolutely love with tips on how to maintain the colour. “I came in with very patchy and murky hair wanting to go dark green. My consultation was very helpful and only £20, which was deducted from the final price, and I had a great time. I then got my hair dyed by Sylvain the exact green colour I was hoping for! I couldn't recommend Anne Veck enough. Everyone there was lovely and I'm very happy with my end result and the price :)”
