“I had a full colour and cut with Claire and I can’t recommend her highly enough. From the colour consultation I had with her beforehand through to the day itself, she was wonderful. I’m so delighted with the results - the best hairdresser experience I’ve ever had. Thank you.”

“I visited Anne Veck about a month ago to get a much needed trim. I explained what I wanted to Silvain, who was my hairdresser, and he did not listen to any of it. I had asked for a small trim but mainly to have layers cut shorter to give more volume to my hair. I have wavy/curly hair. He cut way more than I had asked for. He also thinned out my hair so much that there were tons of hair on the floor once he finished - something I had not asked for. I do not like having my hair thinned. He also used a razor to cut some of my hair, which doesn't work with my hair type because it frizzes it but he didn't bother to ask. Lastly, my hair is EXTREMELY uneven. On one side, the layers are longer and even (this side looks really good), while on the other they are shorter and so uneven (this one does not). I have random pieces that are very short and some long. Overall, I'm very unhappy with my haircut. I think that there are small things he could have done to give me a great haircut like being more careful with evenness, asking what I would prefer, and respecting what I asked for. I was about 5 minutes late to my appointment and maybe this impacted my experience at Anne Veck but I think that the time slots given are way too short to give a proper haircut anyway.”

“I’d just moved to the area from far afield and was feeling anxious about getting my hair cut. I booked an appointment with Sylvian, who was fantastic. Sylvain quickly realised I was feeling anxious and made me feel at ease. He was very attentive to my anxieties about having my hair washed and gave me a very skilled cut. By the end of my appointment, I had a new a confidence about my hair that I’d not had for some time. Thank you, Sylvain. See you again soon!”

“I first came to anne veck in December. I haven't been to a hairdressers in over 20 years as Ive always had family cut my hair. I coloured and ruined my hair in lock down and Kelly fixed it for me 😁 Kelly is fantastic! She put me at ease and done a brilliant job. I have since been back 3 times for cuts, colour and a texture release. I have never been let down. Love the massage chair, the chats, the offer of drinks and how they really do care about their customers, and make you feel at home. Such a lovely team and have a new forever customer.”

“I always receive very helpful advice and support in colouring my hair as an older woman: I came here originally because I had had a very bad experience with a discourteous and unhelpful stylist at another salon who disrespectfully suggested I cut off all my long hair, 'so as to manage better.' I cast the phone down and came straight to Anna Veck which was recommended to me by a friend. Here I am treated as a person of sense and wisdom whose hair solutions include some exciting and horizon stretching prospects.”

“Good service overall but a few pointers for the salon. A few points in my opinion that could be adopted in the salon for Afro-Caribbean hair: 1. After washing/conditioning hair it might be worth checking there is no residue of product on the scalp. 2. For a hair trim/cut after straightening: just brushing the hair all to the back and cutting/ evening the length isn’t enough. Hair isn’t always the same length on the head so it’s best to section hair and cut/ trim dead ends.”

“First time client of Anne Veck and I was glad I went. I was recommended Kelly for cutting curly hair by one of my friends and the experience was extraordinary. Kelly took the time to discuss the game plan with my hair and how my curls behave while being patient and checking in often throughout the process of the total restyle to make sure I liked it. Will go back again when a freshen up is needed.”
