“Good information and attention to detail. One point for The Barns, there were no oven gloves. One person got bad blisters by handling hot trays with just a tea-towel.”

“After the initial enquiry and booking of Derwent Manor, kate & tom's kept in constant touch with updates and replies to queries. They were also able to suggest things to do in the area and catering, although they do not get involved other than the booking of the property.”

“The K & T's team were very obliging and promptly responded to any enquiries we had beforehand. The only question mark we had was that we wanted to pay by card, since we do not do online banking, and this was not an option.”

“The house was absolutely perfect for a large multi-generational group, with a mix of personalities! Plenty of space to be together or apart! Wonderfully located and very well appointed. Great to find a large house that really provides for a large number ..... endless glasses, 2 dishwashers, huge dining table and even outdoor seating for everyone. As always, the Kate & Toms office staff were brilliant and booking and questions handled professionally and speedily. Brett, the house manager was an absolute star! Minor problems dealt with promptly and nothing too much trouble. Looking for an excuse to make a return trip!”

“Kate and Tom's web site was very good and generally the response to enquiries was good. A few issues where they did not respond quickly and changes to payment conditions not communicated. Would probably use again.”

“Customer service was excellent from first contact through to follow up after visit. Sadly, so rare to find a company that delivers "what it says on the tin" nowadays, but Kate and Tom's did so in bucket-loads. Everything we could have wanted over our stay had been thought of. A very enjoyable, smooth operation. Thank you!”

“We enjoyed a long weekend in the Coast House and cottages. Our large family party, with an age range from 6months to 68 years, were delighted with the location, accommodation and facilities. All rooms were luxurious and the range of equipment was fantastic. The welcome pack was great and the houses were beautifully warm. We can recommend the properties wholeheartedly and would love to return.”

“Easy booking. Quick responses to email queries. Not so pleased about being charged for the wing when I needed just 1 more room. Room 7 turned out to be within the main house so I do not see why we could not have accommodated my 13 guests without the need to charge for the whole wing. I am also unhappy that I was initially quoted a huge amount for the addition of the wing to my booking. Eventually that was sorted out to some degree but as the whole time the price for the whole property was being dropped considerably lower for a Jan weekend than I had paid this left me feeling that I had been taken advantage of and had been foolish to plan ahead. It puts me off booking well in advance again.”
