When ordering, Friday delivery was offered so I booked it. One of the parts did not turn up on the Friday which meant I could not do the job on Saturday as planned. The van driver delivering on the Friday said the missing part was on a differnt van and would be delivered seperately. I rang and was told it would not be delivered until Monday.

Good Morning Phil, Please accept our apologies on behalf of the courier. We despatch all our orders the day before delivery and unfortunately, the couriers occasionally make an error when they are loading their vans. I am terribly sorry that it halted your plans over that weekend.

I purchased two soft wood hand rails when they were delivered the packaging was in perfect condition so I accepted delivery. It was two days before I unwrapped the hand rails to find both were damaged I filled the damage as I was painting the timber. Was disappointed with the fact they must have been damaged before packing and shipping. Not what I would have expected for the price paid.

Good afternoon, I am very sorry to hear that you received the handrails in this condition. Had we known this, we would have not hesitated in sending you out replacements. If you were to purchase from us again and you receive any damage please contact us and we would be more than happy to replace the goods as soon as we can.

Sadly poor quality wood with many of our spindles having knots all the way through providing weakness which so far has resulted in three snapped spindles which leave a notable safety hazard for small children.

One broken handrail received must have had considerable force to break this. No time to return for replacement. I had to repair the handrail to enable it to be fixed.

Gillian, I am very sorry to hear that you received your handrail and it was clearly damaged in transit. Please be advised that should this happen again, if you call us on the day that the item is delivered to advise us, we will always send a replacement out the very same day. As we were unaware of this until now, we were unable to rectify the problem for you.

I had problems with the delivery of the items by your courier. They left part of the order in Rotherham depot. The part that was needed first! 5 out of 6 items were delivered on time. The missing part was in Bury depot at 2:00 am the following day but the courier did not deliver that day. It's was delivered the day after that. The inconvenience was having to wait in on three days not being able to continue with work elsewhere. I called yourselves and DX and no one was able to advise when it would arrive. Useless! I appreciate that you have no control over the delivery and I'm happy with everything else but wasted time costs me.

A long wait for these to arrive as the labelling on the boxes would suggest an off the shelf item. Damage to one corner (see photos). Finish could be better on end grain.

I ordered some oak handrail and baserail. Was all well packed and there was no damage on the packaging. When I opened it I noticed some damage on a few pieces, emailed them straight away including photos, no reply at all. Tried again, nothing. I bought from the company before, it was all fine, but if there is an issue it seems the don't want to know.

Hello Kim. I am sorry that you noticed some damage on parts of your order. I can see that you e mailed on 17th May to which we replied the same day at 8.37am. We requested photographs and e mailed you again on 23rd May at 3.02pm. Unfortunately we did not receive any photographs, which is what we need to assess the damage. With any faulty goods we respond straight away as we always want the best for our customers so I am sorry on this occasion we were unable to solve the problem without these images.

The product was fine but this is by far the highest postage I have ever paid for anything, and cannot reflect the cost. Surely a graduated scale based on what has been purchased would be fairer. For what I paid for this one item I get Amazon Prime for 3 months!

We do offer a graduated scale for delivery on our items. Our potage is listed on our website https://www.jacksonwoodturners.co.uk/delivery, and is also calculated at the checkout prior to you checking out. The item that you ordered was over 1mtr long (1.8mtr) so is classed by our courier as being an oversized parcel.

Delivered quickly but they sent faulty products. No answer from customer service, just an answer machine which they seem to switch on before the office actually closes. Who knows how long I'll have to wait to get replacement parts now. A day off work wasted. Unhappy

I have just recently bought some white painted base rail and handrail with infills plus 30 stopped chamfered spindles at 32 mm x 32 mm which we were hoping to use on a customers job as we didnt have time to machine them ourselves. Unfortunately when the boxes were unwrapped it was clear that the handrail and baserail i had ordered to be white was in fact cream, and the infills that came with each were proud of the groove in the rail itself they were also different thicknesses and widths and none of them were remotely tight in the groove. the handrails, baserail and spindles there selves also had a lot of machined break out on, which had just been sprayed over with no attempt to sand out the offending patches.Needless to say when it was all together it was shocking, and it looked as though our apprentice had done the machining and having no clue as to what any machine did. Not Happy. I have ordered oak handrail and base rail before and have had to sand every length to ensure i get the finish i require and my customers expect, i will think twice about ordering anything from you again.

Hello Gary, We are very sorry to here that you were not happy with our products. If you had contacted us, we would have been happy to exchange anything that you were unhappy with. We do find it strange that you did install the parts, that you knowingly thought were sub-standard, without contacting us to report these issue? As our product listings state, our White Primed products are in fact primed only and designed to be painted over by our customers. As a company, we pride ourselves on being an honest and approachable, with the best quality products. If any customer feels that our products are sub-standard, we will happily replace them. the stair part i ordered were all delivered in a fast time which was nice and the were all there which was a bonus, the fixing where a waste of time as you carnt get a 13mm spanner into a 25mm to tighten the nut its just impossible, i wasted a day trying to use those rubbish fixings (would be better if you hadn't provided them to be honest.) bought some zip bolt fixings that worked 1000% easier, None of the part really fit together, i did a lot of blending and sanding, as one part was wider than the next. The base rail infil fits very poorly ( gappy) some of it was too thick. they rounded all the corners over on all the spindles which means that there is now loads of holes around each corner where it goes in base rail not sure what to do with that. their base rail had 41mm groove but the spindles where 42mm, now that just silly i had to sand each one with a belt sander to get them to fit ! i personally won't be using them again

Was nitially told that my order could not be delivered for atleast a week as the spindles would take sometime to get in. The lady on the phone was most unhelpful and refused to split the order or to get those items in stock to me first. So I took various items out and placed the order with another supplier. The spindles arrived within a few days - so you lost a significant amount of the order! Received damaged items, phoned straight away and was asked to email photographs; did so immediately and no response at all, so far.

placed order on Tuesday for Thursday delivery waited all day but the delivery did not turn up and we had received no call or no update on delivery either. Called the company Friday morning to talk to a very rude lady who said the driver had torn the ticket and did not know where to deliver the goods and that only today it has been returned to us and we can only deliver on Monday or cancel the order and process refund. note that this order is now being fulfilled after almost a week and the company was absolutely not apologetic but it felt like it was the norm. I would be skeptical to place any further orders unless I was willing to wait a week for delivery. the driver could have easily called the company taken the delivery address and completed the work making it easy for the client and company. i think it was never sent out and this lame excuse was just cooked up.

Purchased a made up kit to refurb stairs and landing , the advice was given to me what to purchase over the phone . Found that once all was fitted things dont quite match . The newel caps are polished oak and lighter than the newels and rail, the newels are a different grain and are darker than oak rails and caps . Had to use two shades of stain to try and match up , which now looks close but will never match newels and rails as the indifference in wood grain and finish .

The product was good the customer service was not good. The guy on the end of the phone was happy that he could get on their web site so why should I be ringing to tell him I had a problem. He didn't even ask basic questions sich as what operating system I was using.

The products arrived on time and were well packaged. They are fine except for the fact that the decorative finial I bought for the top of the newel post was made of blocked oak rather than solid oak - i.e. made from 2 pieces. This means there's a very striking stripe right across the finial where the two different pieces are very different colours. It's very annoying and is not as pictured on the website. I emailed the company via the website on the day but heard nothing back at all. I was disappointed.

The item arrived in good time and well packaged. The handrail itself had one end partially cut, so when agitating the end gap it would not of been flush. Poor quality control I assume is to blame. I emailed the company about this, and the lack of wall plugs, which was not advertised, and to date the company has not responded to my email. Few days and counting.

Not at all happy at paying £15 for a small package which should not cost more than £5. Be the last time I use this company, quite frankly that charge is scandalous.
