“ITTT is a great choice for TEFL learning. I did a lot of research and consulted many teaching blogs to get professional and personal opinions before enrolling. The course is easy to follow, everything is very straight forward. I purchased the 220 Hour Master Certificate with no tutor. I do have a background in tutoring/English and didn't have trouble learning the material. I'd recommend ITTT for anyone searching for a great option.”

“I have recently completed the online 120 hours TEFL course with tutor support and I am really satisfied about it. The course is very well structured and the videos included are also very interesting and useful to better understand some particular points. I highly reccomend this course also for people without any teacher experience like me, because I believe it will help you to gain some new skills and teaching techniques which can be used during your future teaching career.”

“I didn't get much experience with the customer service side of things with this course. I think that should speak droves about how great the course was. For the price I think that this course is well worth it. The texts that come with it and on access communication with tutors if you need it are fantastic. The quizzes are straightforward for the most part and the classes really make you consider a lot about how you would conduct your classes and what the best methods of teaching are. Overall I am so happy with the course and all the extra available resources that come with it.”

“They didn't really help much in terms of helping me find a job even though they mentioned many times in their website that they will be there to ensure that you do get a job. They only sent links which haven't been so helpful to find jobs. Most companies want a college degree and that wasn't stated on their website. I really expected to assisted hands on with this job search but they just left me hanging. I also believe that the course was too easy for the amount that I paid. If a ever a refund was possible I would have requested for one.”

“I was able to complete this course in my free time along with my bachelors in education courses. I love that this is self paced so that some with with ADD like me can do it when they’re motivated and actually absorb the information.”

“I got my certificate many years back; I tried to apply to several jobs and was told that my certificates numbers are not valid and the number of hours I studied is not valid either. I tried to contact them but no one called back or emailed back. Utter useless if you can't use them.”

We have entered your certificate number there and we see a result stating that you completed the course on 27th February 2008. We have no record of receiving any recent emails from you, so we’re not sure which email address you used for us. “This training was very beneficial. It really gives you a great insight on what to expect when teaching English abroad. It was structured and detailed and the task sheets really helped to put in practice all the content described in the units. They also help to develop critical thinking. I feel very confident in teaching English abroad and online!”

“The course was great, being a Foreign Languages and Linguistics Major I found it to grace all the topics with a decent surface level thoroughness. Depending on how serious you wish to become with this material, you will need to further your research and reading, and the program tries to encourage this by giving their recommended readings and websites to further enhance your abilities. Though I have my own resources I prefer, I like how much thought they have put into the program and how they don't hesitate to point out where further study will benefit you. It will set you up well for beginning the teaching, but as your students advance, you will begin to get more intricate and precise questions of which the network and resources they give will be of help to guide you.”

“It was nice experience with ITTT. I learnt how to engage, study and perform activity in class during teaching. But unfortunately ITTT don't have any strong Mechanism of certificate attestation. I'm in China, I queried many times to admin that is it valid all over the world and got reply that "YES". Now I applied for jobs and found that it should be attested by Chinese embassy otherwise it is invalid.”

“The 120 hrs TEFL course was way below my expectations. First of all, the price is the highest among all the courses from other companies. For that price I expected to get something extraordinary. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. And here is why: 1. There are too many basic grammar units. I think if a person takes this course, they already HAVE TO know English grammar. Tips on how to teach grammar are nice, but grammar itself? Useless. 2. Too much "water" in most of the units. Things like "you shouldn't physically punish students" or "don't be late for class" should be known to anyone, who is related to teaching or any professional activity at all. There's no need to include them in the course. 3. Unit tests are totally useless too. They just repeat the unit material with the exact same words, so even if someone didn't read the unit, they could just use word search to find the answer. 4. It was mentioned in the course that teacher has to adapt to every different situation and sometimes it's not possible or necessary to follow the ESA structure. However, unit test included questions which excluded this possibility. So the "right" answers didn't seem obviously the only ones that are correct. 5. And just an interesting fact: it was highlighted in the course description that it was designed by experienced native English speakers and this certificate is unique and authentic. Why did I get my certificate delivered from Thailand? :)”

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We’ll address each of your points in turn: 1. We feel that grammar is far from “useless”, and understanding grammar is a vital prerequisite for teaching grammar. Most native or fluent speakers of English are aware of what is ‘correct’, but are less sure how to explain why or to clarify errors or mistakes. Covering specific grammar points and providing teaching ideas is what sets the ITTT course apart from many others. 2. The course you completed is an introductory course for new entrants to teaching and covers the basic information needed to stand in an EFL classroom for the first time. 3. The tests are designed to cover the information presented, but when creating the questions we have tried, wherever possible, to avoid the situation where all a course participant has to do is look up the answer in the unit to answer a question. Questions are therefore designed to test understanding of the unit concepts rather than the ability to look up answers. 4. As described, one methodology has to be chosen and used throughout the course. We feel that ESA is the optimal teaching method for most EFL situations. 5. The course was indeed designed by experienced native English speakers and this certificate is definitely unique and authentic, as you say. The country in which we choose to have the certificates printed has no bearing on the professional experience of the course authors and staff.
