“Visited the Iolla shop when I was up in Edinburgh for a few days, last summer; and made sure my prescription was up to date and a visit was on the list for my return visit a few weeks ago. The team in the shop are really friendly, cool and relaxed, as is the instore environment, making the experience of choosing new frames really easy :) I was super impressed that thinner lenses are included in the price, as my prescription is high (-8.0/-7.5) and the lenses usually thick and then EXPENSIVE! I chose my frames, paid and then email my receipt and received my new glasses about a week later! Perfect! Now, just open in Manchester, please!”

“I accidentally broke my glasses and the team in Glasgow West George St were exceptional. I only had the glasses for a year and they replaced the entire frames at no cost. The girl involved was courteous, knowledgeable and was very helpful and advised that there were new frame colours to choose from. All round a really great service”

“Lovely sunglasses but asked to hand over far too much data at the point of payment. Should be given the option to simply pay and go or submit the info. Resent it even more now that the marketing emails have started.”

Thanks for your order and for taking the time to write us with some feedback. Our system is set up to create customer profiles when any order is placed as this allows us to store customers’ prescriptions, previous orders, notes etc. which is really valuable to our prescription eyewear customers and to us. This being said we can totally see how this information will seem unnecessary when purchasing a non-bespoke product so we will be sure to pass this on to our tech team. When we process an order in IOLLA, we ask for an email address just so that we can send you an order confirmation email as proof of purchase as we can’t provide paper receipts. We can see that your email address was not signed up to receive marketing emails, and doesn’t seem to be in our marketing list so it does sound strange that you have received some from us. A member of our customer service team has emailed you also to get a little more information about this.

“Delighted with my new glasses. The staff were very helpful , I am very happy with my choice, and my new glasses arrived within a fortnight. These are the third pair I have bought from Iolla, and I have loved them all.”

“I heard about iolla though a family member so thought I would go and see the new one at at James and the customer service every time I went in was 100%. The staff are so lovely and know exactly what they are talking about. Great experience!”

“As the third member of the family to be converted to IOLLA, I am delighted with my new 3 pairs of glasses 👓 - 2 pairs and a pair of sunglasses 🕶. The staff were professional, polite, helpful and very good working under COVID restrictions. We will definitely be back.”

“Waited to long for glasses to arrive and when they did arrive they came with the wrong lenses. Had to go back into the shop to return the glasses and then wait again until the proper lenses were fitted. I really like the glasses though and people in the shop we’re friendly enough.”
