“We had a wonderful time going to Canterbury, Dover, and especially Leeds Castle. Ox was a splendid host, knowledgeable and charming. The coach was comfortable, especially on the unusually hot summer day. We will happily engage International Friends again when we’re in England.”

“The tour was good. Saw lots of Paris in such a short time. I wish there would be more of a bus/coach tour especially on the second day. If we would have a bus to take us to Versailles would be fantastic. We were so tired we all wanted to pay that extra expense so we could rest our soar feet from Notre Dame to Versailles and back to the hotel. The same could be said about day 3 if there was a more stringent schedule, but it was almost a free day on Sunday.”

“Hi IF, we disembarked the Royal Princess at Southampton last Monday (18th of June) and our party of four joined a tour with you taking in Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge and Windsor castle before boarding our flight to Singapore at LHR. The bus arrived on time and your tour director made us feel very welcome and assisted with suitcases, seating etc The vehicle was modern, clean and comfortable especially for two of us who are over 70 years of age and in excess of 6'3" tall. Your tour director (Michael?) was very knowledgeable and informative and escorted us through the itinerary making recommendations on everything from places to eat, historic walks etc without appearing to be manipulative or condescending and when it was time to meet he was always early and waiting for us as arranged. We will certainly recommend your tours here in Australia and being ex-servicemen ourselves we will happily advise our RSL clubs of the good service offered by your company.”

“Collected outside customs by our guide who escorted us to our coach, saw us to our seats and introduced us to our driver. This same treatment was supplied to all persons on our tour/transfer to Heathrow. An informative pleasant trip even though this was about our eighth trip to the united kingdom. Would highly recommend this way of transfer from cruise terminal to airport.”

“Bath and historic town are very good and lunch is good too. Tour guide and driver were not so nice. They should drop us in St. Pancras station to Gatwick airport, but they said they need extra hour to get there because of traffic and asked us to get off in Victoria. I requested to go to Blackfriar for cheap train tickets, but was also denied by them. Finally they dropped us in busy Victoria station and I paid train tickets to airport in double price. Traffic was bad when we approached London late Friday afternoon, but quite normal inside city. Meanwhile our tour has only three couples.”

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I was disappointed to read your comments about our guide and driver. I have spoken to both of them in turn and have discovered the following; You informed the driver & guide that you intended to go to Gatwick. The traffic was very heavy on this date, and when you spoke to our driver & guide, they informed you that getting to St Pancras was going to take at minimum, another hour due to the traffic. This is why they suggested that it may be quicker for you to be dropped off at Victoria. They were concerned that the heavy traffic may have caused you a delay in getting to the airport. Upon hearing that it would take a further hour to get to St Pancras, you too agreed that it was easier and more convenient for you to get out at Victoria, and to get on the Gatwick Express, instead of travelling in the vehicle for another hour. The guide offered to come in with you help you purchase your tickets, as he did note that you were very concerned about purchasing them. You declined to accept his help. I am very sorry that you feel the driver & guide were not helpful - it is unfortunate that you feel this way, when their main concern was ensuring you made it to the airport in good time. “Our tour guide was very knowledgable about seemingly every conceivable historic fact related to our route, Bath, etc. The tour included a couple additional stops and sight-seeing from the van that we hadn't anticipated from the description. The driver also went out of his way to drop us at our hotel which was not on the drop-off list althugh it was close to one. A very enjoyable way to get from the cruise port to London.”

“Our guide Paul (Paulos) was excellent. He spent a lot of time explaining things we were going to see before seeing them(like the Sistine chapel) which made the experience more informative and memorable. The only slight drawback was that our driver didn’t speak English which made it hard to communicate or ask her anything but we figured things out.”

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, please be assured that we do take all feedback on board. Salisbury Cathedral was indeed closed for a service on the date of your tour. As it very clearly states on our website "Please note as Salisbury Cathedral is a working Cathedral it may be subject to last minute closures." Unfortunately there will be dates that a cruise ship docks, that inevitably clash with a service at the Cathedral, and as such entry is regrettably, not possible. It is for this reason that we do state this on the website. As a working Royal Residence, Windsor Castle is often subject to closures throughout the year, to align with the plans of the Royal Family. Windsor Castle was closed on the 17th June in order to prepare for the 700 year old Order of the Garter ceremony. This is unfortunately again, something entirely out of our control. As per our booking page for this day trip, "To avoid possible disappointment on the day, we strongly advise you include your attraction entry when booking the transfer." Had you expressed an interest, or booked Windsor Castle tickets when you booked your transfer, we would have of course notified you of the closure. If you do not book Windsor Castle tickets with your tour and do not contact us to enquire about opening times, we can only assume that you do not wish to enter the Castle. On this date, the ship you disembarked from docked later than expected. As per the booking terms for this tour, and for the benefit of all those on board, we did wait until everybody booked on the tour had boarded the coach. This did have a knock on effect on the rest of the tour, and as such did result in the tour finishing slightly later than usual.
