“Independent Cottages are very helpful, and easy to deal with. We have found putting in prices and availability easy. We will hope to get bookings through this site. “We have used independent cottages for 3 years, we have always found them to be very friendly, efficient and professional. They are always at the end of the phone or email to help with any queries. The enquiries come through in a very easy to read format and all the information you need to contact a guests is there. And of course most importantly we get a good number of enquiries from the site. “I have just signed up to advertise on Independent Cottages for a second year. My main reasons for putting Coachmans Cottage here are: 1) The Independent Cottages site appears on Google page 1 in all searches for holiday accommodation in Wiltshire. 2) Independent Cottages is NOT a booking site, guests are dealing direct with the owner, something that is particularly important to me as Coachmans is a very personal business. From an owners perspective Sarah Jarvis has always been exceedingly helpful and prompt in responding to any queries, as a holiday property owner herself her inside knowledge is invaluable. “I have advertised with Independant Cottages for a good few years now and I can thoroughly recommend them to Holiday Owners looking to advertise and to guests searching for accomodation. The site is user friendly and continues to improve, keeping up with the ever changing ways we use IT. One feature I love is the last minute availability link. If I cannot help with a booking the first place I recommend guests to look is Independant Cottages. The site owners are always friendly to us holiday owners and always helpful, unlike some site owners that tend to put up a 'do not disturb' sign! Great user friendly site that I highly recommend. “We have advertised with Independent Cottages for a number of years and will continue to do so. As private cottage owners we have found Independent Cottages to be a very cost effective and an easy means to advertise a cottage which we manage ourselves. We have found Independent Cottages extremely responsive to any comments or points we want to discuss even for queries such as "how are other cottage owners doing this year?" so it provides a support network in addition to advertising. The open calendar format means we can use the Independent Cottages booking calendar on other websites such as our own and the website of our local tourist association. We feel in control. “I've been a customer of Independent Cottages for about 8 years now. They operate in a very competitive space where there are some huge players, but they deliver probably over half of my "new" leads. They've also always been very easy to do business with, straightforward, and do exactly as they say. It's rare I need to get in touch, but responses are always fast, and it really feels like my business is important to them. And last but not least prices have been kept largely unchanged, unlike some of the big-boys. Independent Cottages is an important part of my route to market.”

“Independent Cottages is an excellent platform for obtaining good bookings, mostly weekly bookings, without having to pay commission each time. There could be improvements to their website, which I am sure will happen in time, but nonetheless we get bookings and have no problem with our guests all of whom have been respectful of the property, looking after it well and leaving it tidy.”
