“The business owners are very responsive and helpful, no question is too small. They are keen for their customers to make the most of their website offering and provide tips and advice on this.”

“I've been a customer of Independent Cottages for about 8 years now. They operate in a very competitive space where there are some huge players, but they deliver probably over half of my "new" leads. They've also always been very easy to do business with, straightforward, and do exactly as they say. It's rare I need to get in touch, but responses are always fast, and it really feels like my business is important to them. And last but not least prices have been kept largely unchanged, unlike some of the big-boys. Independent Cottages is an important part of my route to market.”

“I have always been impressed with this website. I think that the fact that they use 'Independent' in their title makes the public look particularly at this website. “User friendly website for property owners and travellers. For the sections an owner cannot amend themselves Sarah always responds promptly to an email request, or any other query. I particularly like the late bookings section and use it often.”

“We came to Independent Cottages in Dec 2011 through a recommendation from another client of theirs and have always found them to be very helful, friendly and efficient. They provide very useful updates on all issues landlords should be aware of. We only advertise our accommodation on this website and have always had a very good rate of enquiries and bookings.”

“Independent Cottages is an excellent platform for obtaining good bookings, mostly weekly bookings, without having to pay commission each time. There could be improvements to their website, which I am sure will happen in time, but nonetheless we get bookings and have no problem with our guests all of whom have been respectful of the property, looking after it well and leaving it tidy.”

“I heard about independent cottages from a work colleague who had been using the company successfully since they set up their own self catering holiday accommodation. So when I was looking for somewhere new to advertise, IC seemed the obvious place to look. I was impressed with the site and the previous feedback I had, but was even more impressed when I made the initial contact. I pride myself on a personal service and like to give care and attention to my guests and this was exactly what I received from Sarah! Not only that, it was so quick and easy and Sarah has always been just an email or phone call away. I like the ease with which I can update availability and pricing and view the visitor statistics. I especially like the guest book photos section which allows potential guests to get a real feel of your accommodation. Although I have not had many bookings directly from the site my bookings have increased and I know the cottage information is being viewed regularly. Thank you Sarah. Much appreciated.”

Unlike other sites, Independent Cottages provide a helpful personal service, and you never feel that you are just another anonymous owner. The quality of enquiries is good, and conversion rates to bookings very high; quite likely due to the search criteria provided on their website. “My view is that this is without doubt the very best holiday cottages website that I have found. All the information you need is there and so clearly laid out with large images opening up of the property, availability calendars with prices and even actual extracts from visitors books. The booking process is smooth with direct links to the property owner so no middleman to complicate things. I have tried other sites in the past and they are not as informative, clear or user friendly or have the extensive inventory of properties that Independent Cottages provides, thank you, you really set the benchmark and have helped us get the best out of our valuable holiday times.
