“As an owner I am delighted that Independent Cottages does such a great job of putting genuine holidaymakers directly in touch with vetted owners. With the market becoming more monopolised by very large, commission-based operators, guests pay more than they need to and owners lose a valuable relationship with their customers and control over the process - including when they will get paid. Independent Cottages did a splendid job for us of providing good quality bookings last year and we fully expect this year to be the same, if not better.”

“Any communication is always friendly and courteous. No fuss bookings, as guests can contact me directly, and don't get charged. So no cancellation fees, or pushyness, as I had with Tripadvisor, before I stopped booking through them. Fairly easy to manage website, but up to me to keep it updated. Always quick responses. I am very happy to recommend!!!”

“We have advertised with Independent Cottages for many years, and are very happy with the service provided. Our advert always runs smoothly, its easy to make any changes we need to, and response to queries is always prompt. The site is easy to use for owners, and making amendments/ updates is quick and straight-forward. They have a definite advantage over other sites in that there is only a one off annual fee with no additional charges (service fees etc) as some other providers charge, which makes pricing simple and transparent for those making enquiries. We would definitely recommend Independent Cottages to other owners renting holiday properties”

“We have been with Independent Cottages for just over a year and are really pleased with Sarah and the team. We have received a friendly and professional service from day one. We were looking for an independent - book direct platform to advertise our cottages after the company we were with sold out to one of the 'big boys' and started charging our guests a service charge among other things. “Sarah and the team at Independent Cottages provide excellent service and generate a good level of bookings for our cottage We have used Independent Cottages for many years and have always had a good and relevant response from potential guests. . The website is guest and owner friendly and easy to update and we frequently use the last minute offers sections at it works really well for us. We like the fact that we have complete control over our bookings and that there is a link to our own website. We highly recommend Independent Cottages. We also advertise on the commission per booking sites and I find they do not generate the same level of interest.”

“Unlike other companies Independent Cottages offers genuine personal service to its clients. As a cottage owner l am able to speak directly to the team for any help needed. Emails are responded to very quickly and professionally. Again unlike other companies extortionate commissions or "booking fees" do not exist allowing me to deal directly with my guests. The website is great for owners and customers to navigate and offers real flexibility. Thank you Independent Cottages for genuinely caring about small businesses and offering such a great service. “We have been advertising our cottages at Bottoms Farm for around 10 years with Independent cottages and they have now become the only company we advertise with! I find that the late booking facility on their website ensures that our cottages are usually occupied even if we have an extremely late cancellation. Sarah is always very efficient and helpful and their prices are very competitive and not based on a pay per booking basis unlike most other advertising agencies in todays market.”
