“I have been in the self catering lettings business for over 30 years. I am very impressed with the Independent Cottages website. It is the best advertising medium that I have at present. I get a huge number of enquiries/bookings through this website. It is definitely good value for money. It is easy for me to put my prices/photos on etc & updating my calendar is very quick & simple to do. The special offers facility is absolutely wonderful. It helps me to fill any last minute gaps. The format of putting offers in date order & with the further option of narrowing your search down to a specific area is perfect & is very 'user friendly' for the potential holidaymakers. New initiatives are constantly being added (extra photos/video clips/visitor book pages etc). I am happy to thoroughly endorse this website & recommend it to other advertisers. Well done Sarah & her team for an excellent website. Keep up the good work.”

“Independent Cottages provide a service that is based on a genuine understanding of what both holidaymakers and holiday rental owners want and need. Guests can contact owners directly and get all the information and help they need when deciding where to book for their precious holiday time, and both guests and owners benefit from the confidence that personal contact can bring. As a rental owner using the Independent Cottages site, the standard and personal involvement of Customer Service I've received has been outstanding, and an object lesson to the gargantuan sites now attempting to dominate.”

“We have successfully advertised our 3 Holiday Cottages www.newforestholidaycottages.com with Independent Cottages for some years now. As an advertiser it gives us a very easy calendar to update and the opportunity of advertising late availability is brilliant. I am pretty confident that even if I have a few odd days to let it is easy to display this to potential guests and more often than not the gap is filled. I now have the Independent Cottages Calendar on my website so only have to update once. This Calendar is so brilliant and can give a lot of info to potential guests. Independent Cottages are also so helpful with creating the entry and can easily be contacted for further help and advice. I have also found as a guest searching for a property to stay in, the Search Criteria is excellent. It makes looking for accommodation so much easier when a Search Filter can pin point towards the type of place one is looking for.”

“I have been advertising with Independant Cottages since 2010, and am more than happy to continue. I have also found Sarah very helpful and happy to give advice. The owners log in gives valuable information to me as an owner and I particularly see the counters as a good way to moniter my page. I like that I can put up my own special offers and a noticeboard to give extra points of interest. Any changes that are made are instant, or Sarah will make changes very quickly for me. I like the very personal feel that Independant Cottages gives me as an advertiser.”

“70% of my bookings come from Independent cottages, so customers must find the site easy to use and are easily directed to what they are searching for. As a cottage owner I find the site has everything I need and I can quickly navigate to where I want to be. The booking enquiry manager enables me to speedily see what is booked and the prices I am charging. Most importantly, when I have needed to speak to someone at Independent Cottages they have always been very helpful and friendly. It is good to know there would be someone in the background to speak to if needs be.”

“We have been using Independent Cottages for a number of years now. The site is very user friendly and we feel the site helps us manage our business easily. We are able to update the site when we require, and any changes are efficiently dealt with. The site is also very good value for money, and seems to connect well with our core visitor areas. We have two cottages advertised with the site, and we get a good percentage of our business through it. The site also gives those who are wishing to book the ability to inform us of their special requirements, party sizes and contact information. “We have advertised our holiday let on Independent Cottages for several years, and rely on it to obtain virtually all our bookings. The service we get from Sarah is excellent; always prompt and very helpful, and we have not had any problems. The website is attractive to customers, and easy to use, unlike many other websites which I have tried to use as if I was a 'customer'. Some are very poor indeed! As holiday let owners, we find bookings management easy and straightforward on Independent Cottages, and update everything easily, alternatively Sarah will help quickly if there are any issues. Independent Cottages obtains all the bookings we need, and we don't even feel the need to have our own website. We pay no commission, of course, which is a great benefit, having worked out that if we had to pay, say, 20% commission, we would need far more than 20% extra bookings to cover the cost, because of course not all the rental is 'profit'. We personally do not think it worth advertising anywhere which wants commission.”

“Excellent independent website for holiday cottage owners to advertise their cottages. Sarah is very helpful and professional and any questions are dealt with speedily and efficiently. As an owner of two large holiday cottages I have found Independent Cottages provides me with a good amount of enquiries and bookings at a good value price for advertising. “I have advertised my 4 cottages with Independent Cottages for many years and Sarah has been so professional to deal with. The website is easy to use from an owners point of view and the search options for guests is extremely accessible so they can be directed to the right place for them. This means they don't get frustrated being directed to inappropriate properties and owners don't get inappropriate enquiries. The last minute deals works well and is a godsend. I have managed to fill my occasional empty breaks using this successfully. I also get a lot of phone calls from guests and if I cant help them because I am full, I always recommend them on to the Independent Cottages website. I guess that speaks volumes..... I have tried many other websites over the years but have never had the results I get from Independent Cottages which is why I am still with them. I also need and like value for money when I look at my advertising budget and I certainly get that from here. “Sarah and Independent Cottages stand head and shoulders above all the other holiday letting companies that I have used since opening my holiday cottages back in 2003. She is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very patient, especially with owners who are not computer whiz Kids. Everything I have asked about and needed has always been answered and attended too and I really cannot speak highly enough of this very efficient, value for money business. I have had many enquiries which have become fully paid up bookings. The website is easy to use from both the owners and future guests points of view. It is set out so that the maximum impact is given to your properties. It is marvelous to be able to book out your own bookings as they come in, so everything is about as up to date as you can get. “I have been happily marketing my holiday cottage with another company for the last 9 years, this year their changes have made the management far more complex for me and more costly to holidaymakers. I trawled the net for another company to use that allowed me to self manage the cottage, while using their website. I phoned Independent cottages and spoke ( after just 3 rings!) to Steve, who said that Sarah, his co-owner would call back. She did very quickly and right from the start I have had amazingly helpful prompt responses to all my requests in getting up cottage up and running. Sarah reacted to all my comments on the text, and rapidly put me live leaving me just to set the prices and caption and tweak the pictures. Now I was putting Steve's skills in web design to the test...and he passed with flying colours offering really intuitive function to set rates, add in existing bookings and reorder and caption photos. Personal service, incredibly prompt telephone response and a user friendly website....how refreshing, I'm delighted to have found them”
