“Independent Cottages have been a very good source of bookings for Argil Cottage on the North York Moors. It's a good, easy to operate website for customer use and owner login. It's good value for money and Sarah and Steve Jarvis are very helpful, friendly and great to work with. I'd have no hesitation of recommending Independent Cottages to anyone thinking of advertising with them. Thank you to you both and I look forward to another good year with you. Kathy.”

“Excellent independent website for holiday cottage owners to advertise their cottages. Sarah is very helpful and professional and any questions are dealt with speedily and efficiently. As an owner of two large holiday cottages I have found Independent Cottages provides me with a good amount of enquiries and bookings at a good value price for advertising. I much prefer dealing with independent websites such as this one and would recommend that other holiday cottage owners do the same!”

“I have advertised my 4 cottages with Independent Cottages for many years and Sarah has been so professional to deal with. The website is easy to use from an owners point of view and the search options for guests is extremely accessible so they can be directed to the right place for them. This means they don't get frustrated being directed to inappropriate properties and owners don't get inappropriate enquiries. The last minute deals works well and is a godsend. I have managed to fill my occasional empty breaks using this successfully. I also get a lot of phone calls from guests and if I cant help them because I am full, I always recommend them on to the Independent Cottages website. I guess that speaks volumes..... I have tried many other websites over the years but have never had the results I get from Independent Cottages which is why I am still with them. I also need and like value for money when I look at my advertising budget and I certainly get that from here. “Sarah and Independent Cottages stand head and shoulders above all the other holiday letting companies that I have used since opening my holiday cottages back in 2003. She is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very patient, especially with owners who are not computer whiz Kids. Everything I have asked about and needed has always been answered and attended too and I really cannot speak highly enough of this very efficient, value for money business. I have had many enquiries which have become fully paid up bookings. The website is easy to use from both the owners and future guests points of view. It is set out so that the maximum impact is given to your properties. It is marvelous to be able to book out your own bookings as they come in, so everything is about as up to date as you can get. I cannot thank Sarah enough for all she has done for my business and I have no hesitation in recommending Independent Cottages to anyone thinking of advertising with them”

“I have been happily marketing my holiday cottage with another company for the last 9 years, this year their changes have made the management far more complex for me and more costly to holidaymakers. I trawled the net for another company to use that allowed me to self manage the cottage, while using their website. I phoned Independent cottages and spoke ( after just 3 rings!) to Steve, who said that Sarah, his co-owner would call back. She did very quickly and right from the start I have had amazingly helpful prompt responses to all my requests in getting up cottage up and running. Sarah reacted to all my comments on the text, and rapidly put me live leaving me just to set the prices and caption and tweak the pictures. Now I was putting Steve's skills in web design to the test...and he passed with flying colours offering really intuitive function to set rates, add in existing bookings and reorder and caption photos. Personal service, incredibly prompt telephone response and a user friendly website....how refreshing, I'm delighted to have found them”

We also value being able to speak to a real person with any queries, and appreciate the flexible approach and the quick response we always receive. Sarah is always very efficient and helpful. As the owner of a holiday cottage, I have always found Sarah to be very helpful in firstly setting up details of our accommodation on her site and also dealing with any queries I may have had subsequently. “We have been with 'Independent Cottages' for several years, to help advertise our Cottage in the Yorkshire Dales. It is an easy interactive site, which we can update and control. Any problems we have, are dealt with on a personal basis, which makes us feel valued, an important facet of any company. “Independent Cottages provides a first class service which is effective and reasonably priced. Two particular points: 1. To those of us who are occasionally challenged by digital technology, Sarah will always give prompt, patient and practical assistance. 2. The worldwide spread of the readership. Between 20 June and i August this year our guests are from: Oregon, USA; Alicante, Spain; Vancouver, Canada; and Ireland. Generally, the Low Countries and Australia/New Zealand regularly arrive also. Our Guest Book in the Cottage is there for guests to browse.”
