The team were excellent from start to finish, from the day of my relatives' passing to the day of the funeral. They were courteous, friendly and timely in their communications, and provided a range of services. In Memory of Life made a particularly difficult time an easier and less stressful experience and I would highly recommend them.

ON behalf of myself and my family After my mum passed away on Christmas Day, I then had the awful task of trying to arrange her funeral and in my grief, I rang the wrong number which by luck ended up being the right number due to the amazing service I received from In memory of life. I was looking to contact another company but once thru to Nick, he just sat and listened and understood my situation and was respectful and professional in his duty of care. Nothing was too much trouble and they gave such a personal service. All the stress and worry was taken out of my hands and the team took care of every detail and gave me so much help and support. from start to finish the way the whole event was staged/conducted was beyond my expectations the team were all patient, empathetic and genuinely supportive. Harriet and her team took care of everything, and quite simply couldn’t do enough to assist us in making the necessary arrangements, during a time of great sadness. Very excellent and caring service especially Harriot. They are very caring and go the extra mile in helping you organize your cremation as stress-free as possible. On the day, my family were heartbroken and very emotional, but the empathy your staff gave us all was very appreciated. Our driver was Alan, and he helped us answer all our questions and made us feel at ease. Brian the conductor is an amazing gentleman whose respect for the situation is beyond and above his duties, making u feel in safe hands and no requests too much. The whole day could not have gone any better it ended up dare I say it is a great funeral. I need to add that I am in the process of altering my pre-paid funeral to your company. I will also miss chatting with Harriet. Lisa, Sharon and Debbie and our families. The Hanson Family

In Memory of Life were amazing when I was faced with arranging my grandmother's funeral. I'd never had to deal with this sort of thing before and didn't know where to start but from the first phone call to Matthew all the stress and worry was taken out of my hands. Each member of the team, Matthew, Megan, Harriet and Emma took care of every detail and gave me so much support along the way. I really don't know what I would have done without them. The family also wish to express their gratitude to Dean (the Conductor) and the pallbearers - all of whom were immaculately presented. In all, the professionalism, kindness and compassion that we received from In Memory of Life made a sad occasion a very special and memorable one.

My Mum received her angel wings on 9th January. I then had the horrible task of organising her funeral. I cannot praise and recommend ‘In Memory of Life’ enough. From the first telephone conversation with Matthew to all the help and support given by Emma, who was brilliant. They were both so reassuring and caring with each stage of the process. After losing your Mum then the following day having to start funeral plans is the most upsetting and daunting thing ever, however, after clicking on In Memory of Life’s website to obtain a quote I then received a lovely reassuring call from Mathew, he was kind and caring on the phone and reassured me about the process and answered all my queries and questions. I had quite a few. I have never had to book a funeral before (thank god) so really did not know what to do and didn’t want to have to do this, especially because it was for my Mum who I loved so so much and missed her so much already and was already broken from losing her. I received the quote and Mathew said he would leave it with us to think about what we were wanting, the price was competitive. I did call a well-known Funeral Director, and to tell the truth, the person was okay on the phone but it felt more like a normal business transaction buying a product rather than the care and reassurance I received from Matthew at In Memory of Life. They did not take my details and just said if interested give us a callback, no reference number or point of contact etc. After a couple of days, I believe I spoke to Matthew, then Emma was then given as our point of contact and she was amazing, I ended up speaking to Emma nearly every day and nothing was trouble for Emma to deal with for me. Emma guided me step by step and discussed all options and was not at all trying to push or sell me anything that we did not need or want, she just went with our wishes but gave us the lovely options. Each phone call was reassuring and really was not upsetting as she dealt with the whole process so professionally and also so caring and loving. Emma chose for us May Andrew as our Celebrant who was also so amazing and when we meet up to discuss my Mum’s past she was so caring and reassuring and it was lovely to have sat with her, over a coffee and discussed the lovely memories me and my daughter had of my Mum and what we wished her to mention at the service. We received the draft the following day, with the draft Order of Service that both Emma and May had worked on together for us, these looked so amazing and pretty. A couple of days before the special day Emma went through the whole day and what would happen and answered any queries I had. Again so reassuring for me. It gave me so much confidence as you are so worried that your Mum’s funeral/celebration of life had to go so perfectly. On the day the sun was out and Brian the conductor arrived on time at Mum’s house. The hearse looked amazing with the flowers exactly what we ordered and how we wished them to be placed in the hearse. The car looked amazing. Brian was caring and comforting as well as the rest of the pall-bearers. On reaching the crematorium where all the visitors were awaiting we were guided inside to then start the amazing loving service for Mum. It was so lovely and so many people commented after ‘what a beautiful service for a beautiful lady’ The Orders of Service that Emma designed and created with May looked so pretty and not funeral-like, the music with the slide show was a lovely touch for people to see my Mum again and photos of when she was small to more recent photos of her enjoying life recently before becoming ill. May read out the eulogy so well and made it all so loving and lovely whilst the sunshine came into the glass window onto her coffin. Some of the topics of memory were funny so it was nice to all have a little chuckle. Thank you ‘In Memory of Life’ for the beautiful send-off and celebration of life for my wonderful Mum. Emma, you were amazing, thank you Mathew also as you started the journey with us and made me feel comfortable from the first phone call. Also, thanks to May Andrew as May did the service so wonderful.

The service was excellent. The team were professional from start to finish. I felt the personal interest and care from the team. I would especially like to highlight Emma, the person who led the funeral arrangement for my family, she was exceptionally caring. In my opinion, she went above and beyond and exceeded my expectation. She was efficient, empathetic, patient with us to the day of the funeral. She regularly checked in to see how we are doing. She was not just following protocols but as a family, we felt her genuine concern. From the start, we were fully supported through to the day of the funeral and beyond that. Even after the funeral, we received a phone call to check on how we are doing as a family. I would like to again highlight the professionalism of In Memory of Life service. The quality of delivery was outstanding. The clarity in the service was also outstanding. Martin, the conductor on the day of the funeral, was exceptionally patient and dignifying. He patiently explained the procedure for the day to us and kept communication clear throughout the day. The team were on time and the cameraman did a great job filming the day. In all, I was very happy and extremely satisfied with the service provided by In Memory of Life funeral service. I will highly recommend them for their fine service.

As a newbie to arranging a funeral , I felt completely out of my depth . I dealt with Harriet from the start , and I cannot express strongly enough how compassionate , helpful, reassuring and comforting Harriet was , as well as helping me to make my mother's funeral exactly as I'd hoped it would be . Harriet's suggestion of the smaller chapel at Golders Green was perfect , which made the occasion more intimate , and also the suggestion of the most wonderful celebrant Ruth , who conducted the service and was simply amazing . Harriet kept me updated all along the line , and kindly checked in on me to make sure I was coping ....true kindness and compassion . I cannot recommend In Memory of Life more highly and thanks to their kindness and professionalism , made a painful occasion , a very special and perfect one .

It’s taken a while for me to leave a review only because I can’t find the words to express how much Harriet, Nick and team helped us to give my brother the best that we could. Nick understood us straight away from the very first call, we knew we would be in save hands. Unfortunately my brother didn’t leave his wishes of what he would want in these circumstances so it fell to our Mother to take the burden of burying her son. My brothers children and extended family were not happy with the difficult decisions we had to make but Harriet really understood and helped to make the process so much more bearable and during this time Harriet became a confidant. My other brother and I took the lead on Moms behalf and with help from Harriet and her team gave my brother and his children a dignified and loving funeral. Not once were we made to feel alone in this process. Due to ill health and distance some family members couldn’t attend but were able to view the funeral via video link. Family members as far as Jamaica were able to watch the ceremony and commented how lovely the service was. May did a fantastic job. Martin our funeral director on the day was also amazing helping to keep what was a difficult situation calm. I will never forget what In Memory Of Life have done for the family. I wish there was more I could do other than write this review to give accolades to Harriet, Nick and team. It’s horrible circumstances why we met but I do hope you come to the West Midlands. If I ever need your services again which at some point I guess I will I wouldn’t want anyone else to take care of my loved ones, only you 100%. M

I don’t have enough words to describe how grateful I am and my family for the humongous help and support that Harriet, Matthew, Megan, John and many more in the team of In memory of life whom I did not had the pleasure to know their names, have had provided in this very difficult times. We couldn’t have done it without their support, very professional, courteous and sensible guidance. Every step of the way, very understandable in all our requirements and flexible in the last minute changes. The respect and dedication that they’ve shown towards my ex father in law. I can’t recommend them enough. It’s the second time that I have needed their help and now they’re like family to me. Thank you so so much In memory of Life for the wonderful service and viewing, you always go the extra mile. Most kindest of regard, Jennette LA

Planning my brothers funeral was the last thing I wanted to do.I never knew where to begin or what I needed to do.Matthew and Harriet at the memory of life guided me through the entire journey right from the very start and through the planning. They we’re very respectful, understanding, dignified and very patient. They helped and guided me through every question I had and the many difficulties I had remaining professional.caring, understanding and dignified I could ring them as many times and email them with the smallest of questions they were always at the end of the phone putting me at ease and reassuring me that my brothers special day would be as my brother deserved. The day of the funeral went perfectly. The horses and carriage were beautiful. The conductor was so kind and reassuring. He guided us through the day reassuring as we went. Everyone from Memory of Life were professional supportive kind and reassuring. The day was very difficult for me as you can imagine but because of Memory of Life’s care from start to finish it made it that bit easier Breaking everything down step by step.Reassuring as we went. Each step of the way they reassured and put me at ease. I attended my brothers viewing which was very difficultIt it was made easier by the professional respectful and caring Memory of Life.I left knowing and seeing they were taking great care of my brother.Taking into account anything I had asked for.Harriet rang me the following day to ask how the viewing had gone and most importantly how was I doing.I appreciated this very much. Everyone who attended were guided through the day and commented how beautiful the day went and everyone who took part in the day from Memory of life were outstanding from their professionalism to their caring for my brother but also caring for all the attendees. Again the next day Harriet rang to make sure everything had gone well and was I ok.I was very pleased to tell Harriet my bother received the day he had deserved. I am extremely pleased wit memory of life and wouldn’t hesitate to recommending them to everyone.

My lovely young sister in law died after a battle with cancer and I offered to help with arrangements. I called several funeral directors, but calling late in the day I was asked to call the next morning. I had been looking for a particular small family firm who had been recommended to us and in the process came across In Memory of Life and called - long past 6 pm - to leave a message. Matthew answered the phone and from that moment on he and Harriet were there whenever I needed help or advice. They were professional, gentle and calm. They navigated me through the set up of the Memorial Page on their site and many friends and family uploaded photos and memories to this. They helped me with all the forms and crematorium and casket decisions. They were understanding, flexible and very kind. The funeral itself went as smoothly as the arrangements and the pallbearers and funeral conductor, Dean, were very well organised and respectful - all went exactly on time and as we had requested. The suggestion of Bridget Salmon as the celebrant was also much appreciated as was the help with the photographic tribute and upload of music for the ceremony. I can very very strongly recommend In Memory of Life. Everyone I spoke with was on the ball and knew about my sister in law's arrangements. Emails were answered and at no time did I feel worried that things may have been missed. Harriet even called me at 9.30 pm one night in response to an email I sent which I expected not to be picked up until the office opened the next day. At such a difficult time for our family, they were solid and always there. I can strongly recommend this firm.

After being very badly let down by Co-op Funeralcare, I found In memory of life on line. From the moment I first spoke to them up to my Fathers Funeral yesterday, I simply couldn’t have asked for a more caring and professional service. Matthew took care of everything, and quite simply couldn’t do enough to assist us in making the necessary arrangements, during a time of great sadness. As part of the process, he introduced us to our celebrant, Bridget Salmon. After the service every attendee commented on what a fantastic job she had performed in giving Dad a very personal and dignified farewell. Everything ran like clockwork thanks to Brian our funeral Director and his team, and the management and staff at the Great North Wood where we held the post service gathering If you are looking for a funeral Director, I would definitely recommend In Memory of life
