“From appointing a surveyor to recieving the report it was just under 6 weeks. Surveyor seemed to drag making the appointment to view the house or I may have been inpatient but it was also difficult to get hold of them to what was happening, I found that things moved a lot quicker when I enquired about cancelling within 12 hours a appointment was made to complete the survey”

“The survey was carried out on the date booked and the report was sent out very quickly. Communication regarding the booking was very clear and was updated regularly right up until the day of the survey. The online portal was easy to use.”

“When I was assigned a surveyor initially (Connells) I was very disappointed as their reviews online were terrible. They were also very slow and unprofessional even at the start, so I complained and was assigned a different surveyor. He actually rang me and went through issues I had flagged and was available the next day. This was a far better service than Connells. The survey was fine and he did add in some extra photos I asked for. In general all of these surveys are massively overpriced and full of sentences to cover the surveyor’s back. But it did flag some useful information and things for me to look into. Next time I would go to a surveyor directly though as it is pot luck who you get assigned. It’s all about volume, like the online conveyancers.”
