IAS is a horrible company. AVOID, AVOID. If I could give a 0 start I would have done it! Marie Nguekam is the name of the lawyer with whom I was in contact and Nadeen Taylor the person who answers the phone and the person who gave me the bank details to make the bank transfer of money. This is what happened. IAS gave me an account number (Nadeen Taylor did that on the phone and with an email she confirmed that after the phone call) and all details of the bank and asked me to transfer my money there in advance of their service and because I made a mistake on the name of IAS and included another name with all the bank details correct (their bank details) IAS REFUSE to give my money back despite the fact that they received it as my bank confirmed and despite the fact that they did not provide any service to me, since luckily I cancelled their service on time. This happened September 2023 and I am still trying to get my money back through my bank etc. So, we will see but since all this time they are refusing I thought at this point of writing this review to save others.

They are a scandalous falsehood, a trickery and a SCAM. Do not be fooled by the means of those evil cruel hearts who pretend to be all sweet just to rob you. They deserve all the hatred in the world: they DO NOT answer back, DO NOT help you in ANY way that they promise you: they just take your money and LEAVE! If there is a prison for these WILDERBEESTS they ought to go: they do not DESERVE air and water: to trick people and get away with it. THEY should not have been allowed into the country—Shazia Ershad. NO one deserves to be treated in such a fashion! This is outrageous! They do not contact you within a week: they are late and probably do not EVEN know how to do this. They charge you with £555 straight up, and you must pay to speak with them. Then they give you an excuse on why they are unavailable to talk. They waste your time and think they can waste your money too. I hope to see these evil souls rot behind a prison cell, for their business is corrupt. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM!

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the advice I was given. The Solicitor gave me the impression that he had nit read all the information I submitted prior to the meeting. Some of the questions he asked gave me the impression that he needed to understand the context within which I argued the Home Office decision. For confidentiality, I will not disclose specific details. But I am happy to discuss further privately and provide constructive feedback. If possible, I would appreciate a refund.

Dont pay for your VISA fees upfront This time you ask? I hope this is the only time. From the date we paid for the visa fee 11 December 2023 and we have been ignored from all of the below: Client relations officer - Alexandra Shirtcliffe; Immigration Advice Service - Amy Flanagan; Immigration Lawyer - Samantha Cretten; Enquiries Team - Lindsey Alexandre; Immigration Lawyer - Crystal McGowan. I would love to get my visa going and submitted but since I PAID IAS, none of these people have come back to assist or respond and actually talk about processing the VISA. Now I want a refund and its like IAS has fallen off the side of the earth!? I keep sending emails and I keep doing online chats and people keep promising to help. Yet nothing. Tom in Ireland was great! Samantha was a big help in understand our situation. BUT no one would respond for anything. No even Samantha came back and offered to help seeing there is an issue and she was CC'd in the mails.

VERY POOR AND EXPENSIVE SERVICE. LOOK ELSEWHERE. I didn't receive what I paid for, timelines were not adhered to, and communication was very poor throughout. Details below. - I paid 200EUR for a half-hour meeting and full written report sent within 48hours of the meeting (explicitly stated by the lawyer), including next steps and answers to our written questions. The meeting was the only part of this which I received. - We received the report a full 8 days after the meeting, i.e., 6 days late. - There was zero communication from the lawyer regarding the delay in receiving the report. I received no reply from the lawyer to my multiple enquiries and eventually had to call IAS to chase the lawyer up on my behalf, after which he promptly sent the report. - When I did eventually receive the report, it was unclear, missing important information including next steps, and didn't answer our written questions. The report seemed to be rushed following IAS chasing Lander up on our behalf. - Both the lawyer and IAS refused to admit any fault and IAS refused to issue a refund. Their excuse was that more research on my case had to be done by the lawyer and that there were bank holidays in Spain (our lawyer was based in Spain), which caused the delay. This may have caused the delay, but it doesn't excuse the complete lack of communication nor substandard report we received. IAS claimed that the report we received was what we paid for but this is not the case as per the criteria detailed above and even if it was, then the service provided by IAS is simply very poor by their own admission. All in all, very unprofessional.

I contacted IAS for a minor change in my UK status and spoke with Kieren who has always contacted me and has been very helpful. That being said this is where the story goes south fast! Shazia one of the immigration solicitors was appointed to have a meeting with me last Wednesday. Not only was she late to the meeting, but I felt she was ill-prepared for the meeting and kept asking me the same questions only a few minutes after the first set of questions. Once the meeting was at an end she advised without fail that she would send me the next steps that evening! Unfortunately, this did not happen! I rang on Thursday last week to follow this up and was told she would send this by an advisor. Last Friday I rang and asked to speak with a manager as I still haven't received the information. I asked the advisor again if I would like to speak to a manager, and again the advisor's manager refused to speak with me. The advisor came back in an ill-mannered way advising me that I don't have to speak to her, I responded well I am trying to get through to your manager so I do not wish to speak with you. The moral of the story it's been 7 days and still no information. Rang in today and was again placed on hold for 40 mins and finally rang again from a different number and got hold of a lady called Emily who finally told me Shazia is on annual leave! If you want to be passed from pillar to pillar sign up with IAS and waste your time. Also, pay with a credit card to be on the safe side. Now you will see IAS respond shortly apologizing etc etc, take it with a pinch of salt as they are saving face.

This was the worst experience I have had. I spoke to Kieran, who told me I only had to pay a flat fee of 150 pounds and I could ask for as much advice as possible to help with my online visa application. This is not true, they do hit you with additional costs, 1500 pounds to be exact. This is a lie. Not only was this a bad experience, their telephone calls cut off while you are talking and their payment systems don't work. Absolutely shocking and a scam as far as I am concerned.

The worst I have ever had, nothing positive about IAS. I think a newbie was assigned to me and he was so much in a haste to leave and go to wherever or whatever he was doing, I felt like he was busy with something else when he called and also rejected a video request even though the consultation was supposed to be a video session. My money was wasted and I can never recommend anyone. I wish people will see this so as not to fall a victim. The name of the so called consultant is Tom Egan

Absolutely the worst experience I had with any firm in my life, costing my and my partner extreme level of stress and money. The handling of my case was not just slow but egregiously inefficient, resulting in months of wasted time. Despite paying a substantial fee, I received almost nothing in return, with no tangible progress or support. The case worker assigned to my matter, Reina, showed an extreme lack of concern and commitment, leaving me without a response for weeks despite multiple followups. When I was able to get some sort of response or interaction, it was often condescending and patronising, further exacerbating my dissatisfaction. I filed a complaint with them at the end, which took months to resolve. They often gave me wrong information and didn't seem honest. Getting my money back was hard, and the final offer was too low. But I was so tired of dealing with them, I just accepted it to end things.

AVOID !! They are money robbers! I had an appointment yesterday! I have paid £150 for consultation my appointment supposed to be 11:45am -12:45pm i was expecting contact from them but they didn’t and i have been waiting from 11:30! Then I contacted customer service 12:45 thn the lawyer called me out of the time! 12:48 they refused to give my refund back or reschedule my appointment for another time! They just wasted my money and my time! I was expecting them to respect the time and the customers before anyone else! But clearly they are not professional at all! And they just simply money robbers! Please avoid them.

hey deliberately scammed me out of 200 EUR! When I inquired about obtaining Portuguese nationality through my grandfather, who was born in a former Portuguese colony, they promptly returned my call and made it seem like the process was straightforward. However, their website failed to mention any potential challenges that I would encounter. For instance: If your grandparent renounced their Portuguese nationality after independence, as most did, the process becomes significantly more complex. The process involves a lengthy timeline: approximately 3 years to gain nationality for a grandparent, another 3 years for a parent, and an additional 3 years for oneself. As a grandchild, you must also provide evidence of strong ties to Portugal, such as frequent visits and language proficiency. The advisory service merely connects you with a Portuguese immigration lawyer who, after reviewing your documents (which the advisory service neglects to send), quickly dismisses the possibility. I paid 200 EUR for just 5 minutes of their time.

Hi George, Thank you for your review. I understand from your file that you had contacted IAS in order to receive advice regarding your Portuguese immigration matters. We offer paid services for clients to receive advice that is relevant to their personal circumstances, we did not deliberately scam any fees from you. I understand from the information above that you were provided with the accurate legal advice that was relevant to your needs and whilst it is unfortunate you were not eligible to make the application you were hoping for, it is correct advice. We wish you the best of luck with your immigration matters in the future. Kind Regards, Alexandra Immigration Advice Service

My experience with this organisation was terrible. Booked an appointment to speak with an immigration lawyer one week ahead and even paid for it. They cancelled the appointment a day before and tried to give me another appointment one week later. Asked for a refund and they keep tossing me around. No communication. Literally spending hours on the phone with them just to arrange to get my money back. Honestly, if you want a serious immigration lawyer avoid these guys.

Hi Charles Thank you for your review, I am sorry to learn you have been feeling unhappy with the services provided. I note from your file that we did cancel the session due the caseworkers availability, and that we contacted you to rearrange the session. Following this a refund request was raised and you were contacted the same day via email with confirmation on the refund process and timeframes. Your refund was then processed back to you within the 14 working days you were advised on as per our policy. You did have full communication throughout this process and the matter was resolved in the timeframes you were advised on. Kind Regards, Alexandra Immigration Advice Service

Please don't waste your time with this company, as their booking process is a disaster. I paid $280 for an online interview and nobody showed up. Eventually, after 17 minutes a lawyer popped up on my screen, but only after me having fired several emails to alert them I was waiting. The lawyer was nice and agreed it was unprofessional and that he would arrange a partial refund as we only had 13 minutes remaining of the 30-minute meeting. After the meeting, I reached out to the Booking Manager, and this is what his reply was: We do not issue refunds as a matter of policy. We're all human after all. But I guess no one is allowed to make a mistake.

I booked an appointment with IAS and paid £150. I was told by the receptionist over the phone that this would be refunded if the appointment was cancelled within 24 hours. I cancelled the appointment within 21 hours and received a refund of only £120, two weeks later, and was told that a £30 'administration fee' had been charged to cancel the appointment. This information is buried on the website, wasn't mentioned over the phone, and is not mentioned anywhere on the online booking form. It is impossible to get a response to my complaint from the IAS. There is no way that cancelling an online appointment would result in a £30 loss to the business - it is sneaky and unethical to charge this. If this business can't be trusted with something as simple as canceling an appointment, they cannot be trusted with anything as serious as a visa application.

my lawyer N.A victimized me for 6 months with wrong transactions. I had a mental and psychological breakdown and despite the bad service she gave me, I could not get back the fee I paid and she slandered me, sent an email claiming that the consular officer demanded money for the visa application and that I did not pay, and he accused me of being guilty. I think she got unfair advantage, she ate my right and sent false emails. I'm writing this comment and so that other people are not victimized.

Trying to find a place to help me with my VISA application and using the online chat with Emmie. All they want to do is book you in and take your details, phone number etc, she couldn't actually answer any questions as simple as is the phone call in English...then she proceeded to hang up the chat. Really bad customer service, if its that bad with the first question doubt they will be much more helpful with the rest of the VISA application. Very rude.
