“I purchased the 180 level 5 course as CPD as I currently teach ESOL adult students in the UK but have not had formal EAL training. Although I have been teaching for 5 years (qualified teacher with QTLS) the needs of L2 learners in the UK is vastly different than the needs of native speakers or 2nd generation born students. Whilst some of the course assumes that learners are secure at a certain level, experience tells me that even within a class there can be strong and weak students. This course has been amazing to get me to reflect on my choice of activities and resources as unlike most lesson plans or schemes of work, I had to write a rationale for all aspects of the lesson. I also evaluated the usefulness of resources to meet the lesson aims and realised how many unhelpful resources and habits I had picked up from shadowing other teachers. This is not a deep dive and is not a teaching qualification. But for CPD and anyone starting on their TEFL journey, this course is well structured and the tutors and staff are knowledgeable and supportive. Special mention to Justina, Peter, Francesca and Sahm for their advice and support. I would highly recommend i-to-i. I have read some negative comments and whilst I appreciate everyone's experience is different, qs a qualified and experienced practitioner, I rate this course highly and have gained so much. Fingers crossed I pass my final assignment!!”

The tutors were all great and helpful/supportive, but I feel like I need to give a special shoutout/thanks to tutor Natalie Ruggins. “The TEFL tutors are incredible! Every question i ask gets answered almost immediately, every assignment ive handed in gets marked either on the same day (if handed in on a weekday) or the following monday morning if handed in on the weekend! I had a question about converting my assignment on google docs to a PDF (my abilities in technology are not strong) and was immediately answered by Sahm who replied with a step by step (with images) on how to do it. Super useful. I am incredibly thankful to the TEFL team for helping me on my journey :)”

“Feed back within 24 hours. Delightful, friendly and helpful Gemma answered my questions fully and was very encouraging to make me even more excited to begin. The course 5 sounds most suitable for me it all depends on finances by mid July. Being a pensioner young at heart love kids and teaching adults and children would love the challenge even at my age!
