They do not respond when you ask for help and take a month to mark an assignment when it states only 7 working days. I have completed my course more than 60 days ago and have not yet received my certificate. This is just a money making scheme. Do not watse your time or money

In the beginning of the course the customer service was great, I received swift responses and then a month later the customer service dropped. I waited a month for feedback on my assignment and the feedback from the tutor was vague. emails were responded two months later

I really enjoyed doing this course with you because you were so hands on even though we are not in the classroom, there were enough videos and information to make me feel like I was not missing anything in my studies. I love the fact that you are so quick to help and it's so easy to ask for help. Your system is very easy to go through and understand. Thank you do much.

I have been teaching ESL now for three years in Japan, both online and in the classroom. I took and passed three courses on i-to-i while teaching for the first time: 120-hour TEFL, one-to-one and online, and teaching business English. In hindsight, I really should have taken a course that included all three of them instead of taking them separately, but I keep coming back because it’s a good online TEFL course… and it will make you very angry. Why? Well… it’s really a love hate experience. Worst experiences first: I’m not gonna sugar coat it, the tutors are complete sticklers. They will grill you on any and everything that isn’t perfect in your assignment… or so it seems. They want to teach you and they can’t do that if you pass the assignment on the first submission. So try not to get upset if you get rejected or fail the first time you send it in for review. You may think your assignment meets all criteria but they will find something to prevent it from passing, ain’t no mistake about that. They just want to make you the best, which is honestly what any student would want their teacher to expect of them. This only becomes troublesome when they do it multiple times and then ask for a “re-submission fee” after your second attempt, which happened to me (20$). I sent them a very angry complaint listing all my grievances including the one where they switched tutors on me in between attempts at submitting my assignment, which resulted in brand new critique that wasn’t there before. Overall, the assignments can be frustrating if you are impatient or they decide to trade tutors and charge you for second and third attempts. Pay attention to all the assignment criteria to keep that from happening. One last negative note before getting on to the good stuff; the little mini quizzes at the end of each unit, suck. They are very frustrating because they focus on very specific information that either seems irrelevant or is just not emphasized enough throughout the unit for you to commit them to memory come quiz time. The moral of this story in this section is “take lots of notes”… you will need them because odds are you won’t remember the very specific “blink-and-you-might-miss-it” details that they will ask you for to completely catch you off guard. This becomes frustrating when those wrong answers prevent you from progressing because you didn’t score higher than 75% (on quizzes which sometimes only consist of four questions. Good luck going back through the unit to search for the needle in a hay stack of information). And finally, the best experiences. You are getting high quality lessons, there’s no doubt about that. The materials are all informative, engaging, cited, and well supported by plenty of examples and references. I really, REALLY enjoyed reading through the lessons, watching the videos, and browsing the sections on further reading. They also give you many useful resources to use for free, which comes in handy when you finally start teaching. Overall, yes, I would recommend this website because the lessons are top quality. and the tutors will challenge you to become better. The quizzes suck and the tutors can be absolute sticklers, but all their BS can be circumvented or tolerated if you prepare well, take notes, read the assignment criteria thoroughly (all of it), and try understanding that you are here to learn something, which means you may fail the first time, but you will get very useful feedback to help improve your skills as a teacher.

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE! Charged me for extension course which I didn't get access to. Customer service is a joke! Wasted hours of my time, and refused to let me speak to a manager and to refund me of a service that was never provided

It's a scam once you finish your course you'll never get your certificate and they stop responding to your online chats or emails! They only take your money and block you so you can't have access to your account.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I have received from I to I TEFL regarding the Advance Level 5 420 hour TEFL course, which I completed on 03 May 2024. I was promised that my certificate would be issued within 30 days of completion. Despite multiple attempts to follow up on this, I have not received any response or my certificate. Furthermore, I paid extra for a hard copy of the certificate, which was not delivered. My experience with the course itself was also unsatisfactory. I was assigned Petra Schneidrova as my tutor, but the assistance provided was extremely poor. My enquiries regarding the certificate have been met with complete silence. This lack of communication and failure to deliver on promises is highly unprofessional and leaves me feeling cheated. The course was quite costly, and I expect a certain level of service for the price paid. I urge you to address this issue immediately and provide me with both my digital and hard copy certificates, as promised. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate my complaint further and explore other avenues for recourse. I strongly advise against anyone considering taking a course with I to I TEFL due to my negative experience. Were a negative star rating possible, do I TEFL would most assuredly receive it from me?

Overall the course and support was good. The only issue I have is I’m currently unemployed and looking for work. If I had a certificate to say I have successfully completed my Online TEFL course, it would give me a better chance of employment. I have tried contacting itoi and Learn Direct some staff just say there is a delay with certificates and Jesse said I will receive an email when I can download my certificate but it’s been over 3 months since I completed the course and passed all the assignments. How long does it take to generate a certificate! Disappointed.

There is no certificate at the end. No way to get a refund. The whole process is a scam don’t waste money and 180 hrs for nothing. It’s robbery.

Terrible after sale service (in fact there is none) After submitting assignments it takes weeks to mark - thus forcing the learner to pay for an extension and then they refer it onto to force one to pay again to have it marked. Everything is done with the aim to pay for an upgrade and they made it as difficult as possible to actually qualify.

TL;Dr: Do not purchase any courses from i-to-i until reviews gets better. Do not only look for reviews here, but on other channels as well. This is not the only review channel. Lets go over this review page of i-to-i based on someone like me that's currently in marketing: Shipping & Delivery - Delivery Methods > I only started the course and did not go through with it. - Average Delivery Time > I received the course immediately after sign up. - On-Time Delivery > Based on the reviews I saw so far, it should be closer to 0% - Accurate And Undamaged Orders > Based on this review page people do not receive their certificate in a timely manner as well as some people talk about buying extensions and just keeps on having to redo their assignments. Customer Service - Communication Channels > They are only happy to do a live chat with you when they can sign you up with a course. Same goes for Telephone. E-mail on the other hand, I found a lady that helped me called Hanna Pigeon. She can only do so much though. - Queries Resolved In > This is a lie. I sent in a request for a refund on 31 May and still to this day there is no news about if this request has been approved and that my refund is on its way. - Customer Service > From a marketer perspective... Even though I can not prove it, I know that 4.8 out of 5 rating on this review system are purchased reviews. The negative reviews outweigh all the positive ones. Just a rough guess it should be more like 2 out of 5 Final Thoughts All the free gifts and learning materials to complete the course you do get, but they user interface is terrible. Using 3 different browsers, the online learning system they use bug out and sometimes your score at the end does not work or the pop out window dissapears. I got very annoyed and this is where I went an saw the reviews which I should have read from the start and not went with this course. i-to-i feels too much like a scam. They do assure you that its not when you tell them straight. On the other hand i-to-i is just a middle-man. The culprit is Learn Direct. Their reviews look terrible as well. Look at other review channels before making the purchase. This is not the only one out there. Just google a bit and make a thoughtful decision. I hope this review helps.

bought the PRIME package, and while it started off well with a good course, I now feel like I wasted my money. After submitting my assignment, it took almost two weeks to be marked instead of the promised three days. When I inquired, I was told they were very busy. I understand that, but why offer a product you can't deliver? I waited patiently and was relieved to see that I passed my assignment. However, three weeks later, I still haven't received my certificate. Getting in touch with support is nearly impossible. The live chat often doesn't work or is greyed out. When I finally reached someone, they just referred me back to support. My tutor did the same thing. I've emailed numerous times with no reply. This is really ridiculous,

What's wrong the customer service? I can not get timely replies to my emails for a long time. I can not reach their phone number, I can reach customer service live chat page, I can not get help from anyone recently. Please be honest, how much more should I pay to finish this course?
