“6th March: I received an invitation to review a recent purchase from Hygiene Depot. We'd had some problems which I'd not bothered to report back to them, but the review invitation spurred me on to write something ... here's what I wrote: "I reordered loo paper for some public loos my community group operate. The second batch of paper seems to be of much poorer quality to the first. I believed the order was for a similar quality product. Users are finding that this paper tears when they pull on the roll and we are getting lots of shreds of paper dropped on the floor in the loos which are then clogging up the floor drains and causing us all sorts of trouble. Ideally I'd like to return the unused packs and order a better standard of paper. Is this possible?". We gave a 2-star review score. 13th March: we had a reply from Hygiene Depot which correctly pointed out we were outside of their 30-day returns period ... They agreed that we weren't the only customers who had problems with that product line and offered to send through a new sample to give us confidence with our next order. I wrote the following: "Thank you for the offer of samples. Yes – those will help. Our loos have been closed for some time due to vandalism and the need for repairs. We were therefore not aware of the problems with the quality of the paper in the repeat order we made until outside the 30 day return period. We are stuck with a large amount of paper which is basically not fit for the purpose for which it was intended, despite it appearing to be of the same quality as that previously ordered. How is any of this our fault? Is there anything you can do in offering us s credit on our next order if you won’t accept the items under your returns policy? We would be grateful for any suggestions you are prepared to make to resolve this problem." 13th March: We heard back very quickly from someone at Hygiene Depot who said they had swapped back to the original supplier for the product and it was back up to standard. He agreed it wasn't our fault that our repeat order was of poorer quality and offered to replace the order with the improved quality stock. 21st March: The replacement supplies arrived by courier and are just what we expected and perfect for our community conveniences. A big 'THANK YOU' to everyone at Hygiene Depot for their help, understanding and fast service. Like lots of customers who have been disappointed with our purchase, we didn't bother to complain at the time, we just soldiered on and would probably not have gone back to Hygiene Depot again. It was only because we were asked for our feedback that we shared the problems we were having and the response we have received has been really helpful and very speedy. It's great to see that Hygiene Depot care about the satisfaction of their customers and take pride in the quality of their products and the service they deliver. They say that a well-handled complaint leads to a more satisfied customer than someone who's never had cause to complain. We can certainly say we're really impressed with the way our issue was handled and would thoroughly recommend Hygiene Depot to other customers. Buy with confidence - they supply with care. Thanks Hygiene Depot!”

You were not alone in having issues with that batch and we are now back to the previous quality of paper and we are sending out some samples for you to check. “We are a Methodist Church in Shepshed , Leicestershire and have ordered supplies from Hygiene Depot for the past eight years or so. Our premises are open to a number of community groups during the week and, as required, is supported by good quality, economically priced bathroom and general cleaning items. These are ordered, on line, as demand requires, and reliably delivered within two working days. Brian Grigg, Property Officer.”

“I have been buying from hygiene depot for over 5 years and have never had any complaints. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. My orders have always been delivered on time and the products are of high quality. only reason i could not give very good is delivery cost which in my onion is bit too high. I think if you order goods over certain amount the delivery should be free as an incentive for customers to return, but that's just my opinion. Thank you for a great service .”

“light duty cheetah sacks are good but a little bit too light duty for me. I have not found it easy to tell which sacks would be a bit stronger without necessarily being heavy duty so would appreciate easy to follow descriptions”
