“Wonderful people. Great service. Only sad thing is the don't do the Brasil Bourbon medium blend any more which is superior to the dark roast. Have a prosperous year ahead. Thank you for all your help”

“Company seems good. Too early to say definitively. I'd have appreciated some literature to explain the different blends; it's nice to have something in your hand while you're making the drink, as opposed to having to look online yourself. But the website and imagery convey an idea of experience and expertise. The initial tastes of the coffees are very positive.”

“Tea & Coffee orders have always arrived promptly and quality is very good. I'm not interested in any other fancy products suppliers of goods like this sell and wish they would concentrate on their core business about which they presumably know best of all. H.R.Higgins have a decent range of tea & coffee and are one of two regular suppliers from whom I buy. I just hope they don't get too carried away with offering many products other than tea & coffee because in my experience the overall quality of the base product then begins to deteriorate. Happy to recommend at present.”

“The quality of Higgins coffee is so good that I keep treating myself. I drink the Swiss water process decaffeinated regularly, the flavour is excellent, but occasionally I try the recommendations. Never disappointed.”

“Of my samples I enjoyed most Creole and 1942. I think I will order one of those, particularly as I have a £5 voucher to use. I do like my coffee to be black and strong and these two seemed to work for me. Thank you for supplying the tasting samples. Most helpful.”

“Dear Sir/Madam, I have been buying Russian Caravan tea from you for at least 15 years and have enjoyed it every time. However this recent order has had to be returned to you as it was scented with another tea/flavour (possibly Earl Grey?). I do hope this was/is a one off occurence and was a mistake as it spoilt the taste of the tea. I have still given 4 out 5 in the ratings on the basis that when I rang your office in Yorkshire, the lady (I think it was Sarah) organised collection of the scented tea the next day and which I hope will be replaced just as quickly. I would also appreciate a response to this note to ensure it has reached the right people.”

Good Morning Christopher, Thank you for the feedback regarding the Russian Caravan Tea, we are sorry to hear that it tasted different on this occasion. On receipt of receiving the Tea back at the Roastery, our Roaster will cup the Tea, along side the current batch and we will of course come back to you with our findings. Thank you again for taking the time to contact us, we always investigate any concerns and of course a replacement will be sent out to you.

“I don’t live in London. But I’m a regular visitor and whenever I’m there I’ll always pop into H R Higgins to buy some coffee and tea. The goods and the services are always of a very high quality. One small bug bear however - I used to buy the medium roast Bourbon coffee. However, the medium roast has now been mysteriously discontinued- it’s now a dark roast only, and it makes for a much more bitter drink. Sad, but there you go… nothing lasts forever, does it?”

Hi Stuart, Thank you for your feedback, you are quire right, we did used to offer the Brazil Yellow Bourbon, in a medium roast, however the Roaster made the decision to only offer one roast, rather than two, as ultimately, he felt the coffee was at its best, profiled as a darker roast. We believe that this highlights all the hard work that the farmers do without compromise. We roast this Brazil Yellow Bourbon dark to bring out its delectable smoothness and flavours of rich dark chocolate with blackcurrant and plum notes.

“Standard of the coffee is as always very good, the selection however is somewhat more limited than it used to be, and if I am really nitpicking, you used to make sure the beans were really compresed in the packet before vacuuming it, making it easier to store the packets on the shelf but not now unfortunately, and with arthritis in my hands it makes it more difficult for me to squish them down to fit on the shelf.”

“This coffee is a gift, so can't let you know at the moment as it is for Christmas. I must get some for myself. However, I discovered I had made an error with my order and have beans instead of ground, so hope that is okay with my friends. Thank you again for your help with this order.”
