I faced challenges when trying to recover my funds, which made me question the platform’s authenticity’s—especially as they kept demanding additional payments. Thankfully, I came across positive reviews about Benito Gabriel , which helped me successfully recover my money. If you’ve been a victim, don’t hesitate to reach out to them. It was sort of fine but 2 problems… one I had to chase to find out when it would be delivered as on order I was not told and the 2nd problem was that I ordered two gifts and they arrived wrapped (as ordered) but I was unable to ascertain without unwrapping one which gift was which. There was no external way of telling and they were the same size. Would have been useful to somehow have been told and irritating to pay for gift wrapping when I had to unwrap one gift to find out what it was.

Dear Ian, Thank you for your recent order, I am however disappointed to hear that it was not clear which gift sets, were which, this should have been stipulated. We have emailed you separately on this. We take all feedback seriously and thank you for taking the time to contact us, as this enables us to make improvements going forward. Best wishes from all at H.R.Higgins

Amazing coffee BUT outrageously expensive: £50+/kilo now, anyone? So when there is a ‘sale’, before discount, the retail price/kg appears always to have risen YET again beforehand. I will be exploring other individual coffee importers/roasters for better rates given supermarket beans are awful by comparison.

Dear Graham, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We truly appreciate your kind words about the quality of our coffee and understand your concerns regarding pricing. At HR Higgins, we’ve been committed to providing exceptional coffee since 1942, and our dedication to quality has always been at the heart of what we do. Our coffee is sourced from some of the world’s finest estates, and we take great pride in the meticulous care that goes into every step of the process, from bean selection to roasting. This commitment to excellence is one of the reasons we’ve been honoured with a Royal Warrant, a testament to our longstanding tradition of delivering the very best. We never rise the price before a coffee offer is put in motion, but prices do increase by a small amount each year inline with rising input costs. We recognise that our prices reflect our unwavering commitment to quality, and we understand that this may not always be the most cost-effective option on the coffee market. Best wishes from H.R.Higgins

The coffee was not my cup of tea, so to speak. I think maybe it needed to be slightly darker roasted for my liking. I was giving it a score out of 10 after each pack was tasted and I never got over a 6/10. It's not bad coffee, just not how I like it.

Good Afternoon Jack, Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're sorry to hear our coffee wasn't quite to your taste. We appreciate your honest review and your detailed scoring—it helps us understand our customers' preferences better. If you ever decide to try us again, we have some darker roasts that might be more to your liking. Thanks again for giving us a try! Best regards, Brooke and all the team at Hr Higgins

It has all worked out in the end. The delivery process, where the first courier failed to gain access to us and returned the goods, so that you offered us a refund. Following that we re-ordered and now have the product. We now have the product because we have returned to Suffolk whither the coffee was sent. When the first courier “failed to gain access” he or she probably means that he or she couldn’t find us. This is understandable because our Suffolk location is hard. So well done the second courier. However, all this kerfuffle should have been avoided. Our order clearly set the delivery at our address in London (12 Melcombe Regis Court, 59 Weymouth St, W1G 8NS) and we were there to receive it.

If I’m being honest all three trial bags were average nothing exceptional but nothing bad either. Personally I’ve had much better single origin coffees that tasted better and were better value too!

Thank you for your feedback Mark, we are sorry to hear the coffee samples were not to your liking, that is why we offer these taster kits, as it is a great way to try before you fully commit.

There are some roasting issues like black dark spots on beans. I don't know the reason but could be over-roasting process. When the gas release from beans overtime, dark spots are more visible than first time you open the package. Last couple of my order has the same issue.

I really enjoy the coffee from H.R. Higgins. However, I would so much prefer to buy it from your Duke Street shop. I love going to the shop, the service is superb and the atmosphere is delightful. Sitting in the cafe with a cup of Higgins coffee is such a pleasurable treat. It is such a shame that the discounts are not provided as a matter of course in the Duke Street shop. I would prefer to use the shop as we must support places like it rather than mail order. I do hope you understand and will implement promotions at the Duke Street shop. Thanks to the team there and I look forward to going there again soon

The prices have risen significantly in yhe past two years which is unfortunate. The tea is good however. The P and P is ridiculously expensive.

Unfortunately over the last year the price of importing tea and coffee has increased dramatically and although this is not something we relish doing, it is sadly necessary to keep up with these rising costs. We work to offer the fairest price we can within our pricing, as well as to the farmers who we have long standing working relationship's with, which is how we ensure that we obtain the highest quality products. We have tried to minimise the impact of these rising costs, however in order to continue to provide the highest quality products, we had no option but to implement these price increases. Unfortunately our postage pricing is determined by our shipping partner DPD and we make no profit on this. We very much value your loyalty as a customer and we thank you for your continued support.

Thank you for your feedback. This top grade organic Assam Chardwar Estate Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe tea is of outstanding quality and the finest grade you can get. We also pride ourselves on ethical sourcing and purchase from fully traceable and sustainable resources, which is reflected in the price of our tea.

The products are fine however unfortunately their packages were changed in cheep way. I have to think about buying products with tin container for gift. And this time was terrible DPD delivery service.

I do love Blue Lady Tea The package eventually arrived the 6th time of trying (3 times undelivered to my home address despite my being there!) .... I gave alternative addresses, but the timings were wrong twice more, then I waited outside my friend's shop and got the package eventually. But the inside packet of tea was totally smashed and the tea was loose inside the delivery package! All in all I'm unimpressed though I still love Blue Lady Tea!!

Not sure your previous system of ordering wasn't better but products are as usual - see review of Lapsang.

Appreciating quick delivery with short lead time from the on-line order to home delivery. However, parcel packaging is very poor because of the parcel box damage. Please consider to improve packing way such as by using harder parcel box and bagging the contents by plastic bag. Kind regards Nakamoto

The tea leaves are wonderful. However, packing was not so good. When I opened the box, tea leaves were scattered in the box. The bag was open. Also, the Tea caddy I ordered for the present ,was recessed. I tried repairing it myself, but it was not perfect, and I gave up the present. I'm sorry. Next time, could you give me a package suitable for the quality of the tea please?
