“The key to a better cup of coffee than you can buy in the high street is to start with better quality coffee than you can buy in the hight street. Higgins is the place where you can buy the best quality coffee. I have been a customer for over 30 years and have yet to find better elsewhere. Tony G”

“I have been a customer for about 20 years.I always looked forward to visiting the nicely laid-out shop with its beautiful copper containers.Always made to feel welcome and important.Now I've moved to I.O.W. I look forward to receiving the vacuum-packed coffee bags.It is a double pleasure.Firstly the wonderful aroma of the coffee when you first open the pack then then the taste and smell once it's ben brewed.Always so full-bodied yet delicate tastes compared to other coffees I've tried over my 75 years.”

“I have been buying from this family owned company since 2004 and a steadfast customer. The care and attention they pay to their products is what keeps me going back for more, as their teas and coffees are very well sourced and they make no compromises on quality. As a consumer, this is most important, as I will always choose quality over quantity and willing to pay that little bit more for the whole experience - right from the provenance of the plants used to the final brew. For all this, H.R. Higgins tick all the boxes.”

“I have ordered coffee beans from H R Higgins for many years. My favourite for general drinking is Kibo Chagga which can be used for filter, but when made as espresso and mixed with a tiny dash of milk it always exactly reminds me of the espressos I used to drink in a Swiss mountain hotel. I also like the 1942 blend which makes an excellent strong but non-bitter espresso; I follow the Italian tradition of using 7 grams in a special portafilter basket to make a 21 gram single shot - brilliant. “I've been buying tea and coffee from Higgins for over 30 years. A huge range of both teas and coffees. I've enjoyed trying different ones though by now I have favorites that I buy again and again. The packaging is excellent, especially the coffee that comes in vacuum packs that last unopened for months kept in a cool place. It is obvious that the coffee beans are freshly roasted and arrive in tip-top condition. I haven't reviewed the five different coffee beans I order as I mix them together in equal proportions and create a blend that is better than the sum of the parts. Once you've got used to proper tea and coffee it would be hard to go back to bags and instant. Delivery is swift.”

“The coffee is of an exceptional standard, roasted to perfection, and much of the range is unavailable elsewhere. Particularly welcome is the choice of roast for some types of bean. Orders are always completed and despatched swiftly. It is no surprise that Higgins’ products adorn the table of Her Majesty.”

“I moved from America to England in 2015. My home of Washington State and the greater Pacific Northwest are known for a rich history of artisan roasteries and raising the bar for great coffee around the world. I tried beans from quite a few celebrated English roasters, with varied results. H.R. Higgins was recommended by my local coffee company back home and I have found their products consistent and exceptional.”

“I first bought coffee from HR Higgins in the 80's - the quality of service was superb then as it is now. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who loves good coffee.
