“The best looking bots I can find. Great selection, and relatively quick delivery. The pots arrived very well wrapped, we needed a tip run for the cardboard but I don't mind as theyre delicate. Hortology is my go to for all things house plants these days.”

Hi Andrew We are sorry to hear you were not happy with some of the pots. We subsidise our shipping costs as much as possible, but due to high courier charges and the fact the risk is always with the shipper (the couriers will not provide insurance for pots), we are unable to also offer a free returns service without this affecting sales prices. “Bought a Cissus Rhombifolia plant earlier In the month. The condition of the plant was absolutely superb and it’s now growing away at a a rate of knots quite happily. Thank you for the quality, and the also superb packing it came in! B Hunter.”

“I have had several plants from Hortology, the plants themselves were lovely, but the last delivery, during transit had been thrown about by the courier, two plants with several stems lost and a lot of the soil had come out of the nursery pot. I had to take the plant into the garden and hose it down as there was so much soil on the leaves and stems, I also had to replace lost soil, which luckily I had available. Also, the boxes are unnecessarily big for the purpose and wonder if this could be improved. I ordered a small watering can (which I am very happy with) no plants with that order, and the box was massive.”

We really appreciate your feedback and have passed this along to our couriers regarding the soil spillage and stem loss from transit. We have also raised the method of packaging with our warehouse team who have advised they chose a larger box as when sent in a smaller box the spout can sometimes bend. Hello Alison, Thank you for your order with us and for your feedback. Great to hear you are happy with both your plants and pots. Packaging, pots and transport create an interesting mix, whilst the packaging may seem excessive it is absolutely necessary to keep pots intact during transit. We have spent a lot of time testing and developing our packaging to ensure this is optimal, both from a protective but also from an environmental perspective. Any less packaging results in significantly higher damage rates during transit, resulting in more packaging, time and carbon to re deliver replacement items etc. Please be assured our crimped paper packaging is made from 100% recycled material and is fully recyclable and compostable. Paper cushioning is proven to be more protective than bubble wrap whilst having less of an environmental impact, hence our decision to use paper rather than plastic. “Ordered second lot of decorative grit for a second "cactus garden". Product is OK but a bit disappointed that it was all pale grey; first lot I bought had buff coloured bits along with the grey. Just being a bit picky but a pretty good product nevertheless.”
