“The jewellery I purchased for my wife's 70th Birthday (A gold necklace with seven rings, one for each decade in three colour gold) was fine. However the packaging with my message on was nowhere near nice enough for an item like that. It was a dull cardboard box, with the message I'd taken trouble to write. Then once that box was opened the small presentation box inside wasn't bad.”

It sounds like you are referring to the outer packaging carton, which is brown cardboard with our shop printed on the front -this is purely for posting. There would not have been a gift note on there. The gift note should have been inside the green, branded jewellery box with the necklace resting on top.
