“We found the service to be extremely responsive to our timescale needs. The survey was not only initiated quickly, but we liked the telephone feedback on the day it was held. The subsequent emailed full report we especially liked, as it was not just thorough in scope, but backed up with photographs that aided our recall and understanding of the various items reported on. Furthermore, we liked the way that the issues identified were prioritised on a four point scale of seriousness, together with an estimated cost of repair for each item. This proved most helpful in negotiations with the sellers!”

“Warm and friendly as well as quick and efficient to organise our survey and to provide the final report which was very detailed. We really appreciated being able to meet Matthew to chat things through at the end of the survey. As a result we were confident to discuss factors for potential renegotiation with the seller and did successfully agree a slight reduction in purchase price. Thanks.”

“I booked home approved to carry out a survey of damage to a bathroom to identify who was at fault. I was very impressed with the quality and detail of the report provided. I am sure this will enable the insurance claim process to proceed smoothly.”

“The survey was clear, in-depth and easy to read. The photographs were helpful in supporting the information. Where there were links for advice it was appreciated. To improve the service a list of useful traders locally would have been helpful.”

We do provide information at the end of our reports giving advice on where to find reputable tradesmen, eg, Checkatrade and the Trustmark Scheme. We are also more than happy to review any quotations or reports that you receive and offer further advice.

“We received a clear and detailed survey report on the flat we bought. When subsequently a problem occurred (which could not have been found in the initial survey) Matthew came round, inspected it, and produced an excellent report which led to our being able to claim from the NHBC. Professional, friendly service, over and above what we expected! We would highly recommend the company.”

“Excellent service and a very thorough, clearly written report with lots of photos. Estimates of costs for work that needed doing proved to be accurate. The office staff that I spoke to were helpful, friendly and polite. Matthew was also very approachable and helpful, when i spoke to him on the phone. I would definitely definitely recommend this company - in fact I did!!”

“The friendly surveyor arrived promptly and his subsequent report was useful. However, despite having specifically been asked to survey the roof (as repairs had been recently carried out due to leakages), it was extremely disappointing to have another roof leak less than two weeks after the surveyor had inspected the roof. The latest leak was due to some cracked tiles which surely should have been spotted during the inspection.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We were disappointed to learn that you had a further issue with your roof. Home-Approved take customer satisfaction very seriously and since reading your review I have re-looked at all the photographs and video taken of your roof and have been unable to find any broken tiles. As I said during my visit I am always available post survey to offer further advice and would have welcomed the opportunity to do so at the time you had the problem.
