“Made booking, paid in full, Holiday Gens called next day to say flights gone up by £19 per person. Total crooks, give them bank details and they do what they want and steal your money.”

We refute in the strongest terms that we have unlimited access to your account. All card details are encrypted and no funds can be taken without authority from the card holder. This appears to be an online order and no payment is taken when the order is submitted. The website gives full information of the process on every page of the order and this is reiterated in the Terms and Conditions to which you agreed when submitting the order. Once orders are received by our office, should we not be able to honour the booking at the web price we will call the client to offer any suitable alternatives which is then up to the client to accept or not. No payment is taken until our client agrees to the new costs/arrangements. A pre-authorisation only is held, and released immediately if no booking is confirmed. As you chose to accept the costs the booking has been confirmed as instructed.

“I was happy with the price and the flight/hotel were both very convenient. However, 20 minutes after booking online and paying the amount in full, a received a call to say the price had risen by around £90 due to “subject to availability” yet the exact holiday was still online for the exact same price. The lady then “went to talk to her manager” and came back to say she could “award the first price offered” - I just feel like they’re trying to rip people off who don’t realise the price should be fixed. Somewhat disappointing but would probably book with them again….”

Thank you for your comments. We would advise that there are sometimes when between the online booking and the actual confirmation that availability may change and can cause a fluctuation in costs. This is explained in detail on the website and in the Term and Conditions to which you agreed prior to submission. Once orders are received by our office, should we not be able to honour the booking at the web price we will call the client to offer any suitable alternatives which is then up to the client to accept or not. “I was happy with the holiday and the price however there should be some form of discount offered for NHS or Forces Veterans to have as I believe they deserve it for there service”
