What role would a structural engineer play in underpinning an existing foundation? We have made a seperate brand new foundation a metre deep and filled with concrete, passed by the inspector. We will be doing the same with our underpinning but filling with concrete from the side not from above. Surely he can't do anything that the inspector doesn't do? It will be the same depth, same concrete as the new foundation.

I was looking at spary foam loft insulation, after some searches online all I could find was adverts. However after finding this website I found it very informative and helpful regarding explaining pros. and cons. of different types of insulation and the overall effect on the future problems and associated difficulties of having this installed and then trying to sell your property.

I sought advice from HomeOwners Alliance re my flat and potential lease extension (informal and formal) and freehold purchase. I received a lot of information to help me make an informed decision. I also received very helpful links to get further information along with recommended professionals who can provide expert advice. Communication was super efficient and friendly. When you are up against scrupulous freeholders you need to be able to tap into reliable information/advice and I am most grateful for the assistance I received from HomeOwners Alliance.
