NO. There is no help or advice for those struggling to obtain financial support for FLAT ROOF INSULATION, especially for communities in blocks of flats with shared flat roofs. Most Govt schemes (Green Homes Grant, ECO, GBIS, HUG) are designed around individual dwellings and it has been impossible to secure Flat Roof Insulation funding/Grants so far. The Energy companies do not care. They onloy want to do the easy wotk like loft insulation and cavity wall insulation as part of the ECO schemes. The authors and specifiers of Goverment schemes are guity of not thinking this issue through and not making proper provision for community requirements. This includes Privately owned flats as well as social/rented. There should be help for all. We are a community of 27 flats with 9 on the top floor and zero insulation. EPC are C to G with the worst being on the top floor. They would not be allowed to be rented out in the social sector. We have a new Government who claim to have a new insulation plan. If so please can HOA contact and discuss this problem with the relevent Minister and report back to your readers. I would welcome the opportunity to speak wwith HOA on this issue please.

Thanks for getting in touch. We share your frustration! So many disjointed schemes and unfortunately there are gaps especially as different government departments are involved. We will continue to raise how there needs to be better consumer protection around these schemes and they need to be better joined up. I would also suggest that you write to your MP with your issue. He or she will have a hotline to the relevant government Minister to get your concerns heard. Best of luck, Paula
It's not really giving me the advise I'm seeking. My management company is hassling me to sign my revised and increased Ground Rent amount - and by signing I agree to the increase. Where do I stand legally with this ? This is not an area that seems to be covered for existing and vulnerable leaseholders. skinnimont@gmail.com

Hi, you are under NO obligation to sign the lease and the revised Grount Rent amount. They will NOT be acting in your interests. I suggest you book a call with the Leasehold Advisory Service where you can speak to an leasehold lawyer for free. See - https://clients.lease-advice.org/#/
