I was very happy with the price quality and fitting, but the information I was given during my wait was poor. I ordered and paid for the blinds in mid December, and soon after ordering I was told that the fabric we had chosen was out of stock and would not be back in until Feb. We decided to wait as we liked the design. Theoretical blind was fitted in Jan and at thst time I asked to look at the fabrics again in case we need to order an alternative. The person fitting the blind said that if we chose another it would still take 3 weeks to have them made so we may be better to just wait for the original as it was due in soon. I got a message in mid Feb saying the fabric was in and my blinds were being made. I git another call about 10 days later saying 3vblinds were ready and did I want them fitted. I said no I wanted all 4 fitted together I was then told you only had enough fabric for 3 blinds. I asked how was this possible as the fabric was ordered in Dec had you not ordered enough. The could not answer this. I asked fir someone to call me back and explain what is happening. I waited about am jour and when no body called I rang your customer services. They could also not give me any answers and said the person I had spoken too earlier would call me back the next day. The Lady did call and now said my 4th blind would be ready in a few days. To say I was confused was an understatement. We went from not having enough fabric to suddenly being able to complete the order. I was left to assume that either you had not ordered enough fabric in Dec or someone else's blinds had been done first and there was enough left to do my order. I have ordered all my blinds from you in the past and recommended you to friends I even arrange for my local church to have blinds fitted in the church hall but I will certainly think twice before I use you again.

I was given an estimated fitting date for my blinds and curtains of December 21st. The eventual date was February 8th! No problem with the quality and the fitting itself, but the delay was ridiculous and I couldn’t cancel of course as the items are made-to-measure. I requested and received a small sum from Hillarys in compensation, but I’d rather have had a more timely fitting

Blinds were excellent and can’t complain at all. They look lovely and were quickly fitted. However as soon as they were fitted I got an email asking to leave a review which I did and was happy to do so. I am now receiving emails saying “Thank you for your recent feedback on Hillarys” can you leave us a review!

My french windows curtains are hard to open and close. The runner seperates so the curtain gets caught and comes off. But as i can't verify who i am and prove i brought them from Hilarys as i have no order number etc. I will have to live with it. ☹️☹️. I am on Hiladys books though. When i ring for another order they have my name. 👍👍. .....Marion Lindores

I have purchased several matching blinds from Hillary’s over the past 5 years and been very pleased with them. However, one of my blinds has broken and when I phoned to ask if someone could come out, was told no as they were out of warranty. I said I was quite prepared to pay but was still told ‘no’ they didn’t offer a repair service. For a company as large as Hillary’s, to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I have 7 matching blinds in the same room but having great difficulty finding anyone else to fix this one blind.

A tale of two halves. We had roof blinds, perfect fit blinds and roman blinds fitted in our conservatory. The advisor for the roof blinds did not point out that the small, broken, sample blind shown was going to have the same plastic tab on the full sized blind that had to be engaged with a small slide on attachment on the end of a pole whilst looking into a bright sky, 9 foot in the air. We were told that someone would be in touch within 2 days to arrange coming to check her measurements and arrange fitting. It took 3 telephone calls over the next 10 days before this happened. The fitting was fine but the roof blinds are very difficult to operate and we are getting another company to replace them. Singularly unhelpful call from customer service when we expressed our disappointment. On the other hand, Alan who advised and fitted over the perfect fit blinds and Roman blinds was excellent and we are very pleased with them. However, would never use Hillary blinds again, too unpredictable in the service you receive.

As I had already received blind samples from Hillary's the sales visit was very quick and the blind that has been fitted is perfect. The fitting didn't go as smoothly. Even though my husband had told the fitter that the tiles were porcelain he arrived without the right drill bit as it he had broken it earlier in the week. So he couldn't fit the blind and had to come back on another day. Blind fitted but when I looked later at the blind after the fitter had left I noticed it wasn't straight in the window recess. I contacted customer services and they got back to me to say the fitter had ordered a new blind. Nothing wrong with the blind, just needed straightening up. The fitter rang and we discussed him coming out to sort out the blind. We arranged a date for him to come but then he got back to me to ask if head office had made the appointment or had I made it. I told him he had made the appt. He was actually day off that day so we had to rearrange. Blind now straight, problem had been due to one set of screws being loose. There was also an issue with documentation, I received an email with an order attached which was not mine. Fortunately no personal details on the order. Then before the blind had been fitted an email arrived to say that the blind had been fitted, no signature as it stated customer not present. Not true. Looking at other reviews it would appear that experience varies depending on who the salesman/fitter is.

Your after-sales service leaves a lot to be desired. I've been waiting over a week to have some pieces fitted onto my small window blinds (recently installed by you) to enable them to be opened.

I have used Hillarys before and been very happy. But standards have certainly changed, first of all the fitter left his dirty shoes on and my carpet wasn’t even a week old!! But he asked me for a step or something he didn’t even have a ladder with him!!! I had two blinds fitted one of which is definitely not straight, won’t be using them again that’s for sure.

Another story of two halves. The lady who came to measure up and advise us was very friendly and efficient. She was not at all pushy and helped us find the best option for our needs. The man who fitted the blinds did a great job and was also very friendly. In between the consultation and paying our money communication was terrible. I spoke to the office several times about when our blinds would be fitted and each time I was told that someone would get back to me. They were later than promised and were eventually fitted at very short notice.

A story of two halves. The lady who came to measure up was very friendly and not at all pushy. The gentleman who fitted the blinds was great, punctual and fitted blinds quickly. However after only 3 years one of the cords has snapped and I have been told that they cannot fix. Have been offered 10% discount on a new blind as I am an existing customer, as they always have this offer on I will not be bothering again. I regret spending the money on the blinds in the first place. They are nothing special. I will go for a cheaper option.

Had new blinds fitted. Not too happy with a couple of them. Called rep who came to house and who we ordered them from. Told us we had to phone fitter which we have twice with no response. Not good after service.

Good service and good quality blinds following two orders. Despite every window in the house being sorted I have since been bomarded with telephone, online and post marketing. I’ve spent a lot of money with this company and they still continually badger me for me - I have no windows left to cover!! This has caused a real annoyance which has really taken the edge off of a good service experience into a real negative.

We had a blackout blind fitted nearly two weeks ago, after the fitting as the weather was warm we went to open the window and found that the handles were catching the blind surround. I contacted the fitter he advised that it would require a spacer which he said he would order and confirmed it would take. Few days and he would get in touch to call again. Two days after they should have arrived, I’ve heard nothing. Not happy with the lack of customer service, meaning I have to chase again

The blinds were due to be fitted on 14 Jun. Wrong brackets sent for the bays. Told 2-3 days for the brackets to be delivered. Then when they didn't turn up 3-5 days. Turned up today but only posted yesterday (21 Jun)! Talking of a fitting date now of 28 Jun. Not very happy that, although the Agent says he will phone me back, he doesn't I always have to chase him! Not overly impressed by my experience, just hope the blinds are of a good quality when I eventually get them!

The rep was personable, knowledgeable, and prompt. The goods were ordered, made and delivered in the time quoted. The blinds were fitted in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. The big disappointment is that the "perfect fit" bedroom blinds do not exclude as much light as we had hoped - whilst we were advised and accepted that they would not totally exclude daylight, we thought and hoped there would be significant reduction. Sadly there is only marginal improvement, so our quest for a supplier of better equipment continues.

6 blinds in my holiday home not fitted to how it was agreed, they look a mess overhanging the recess. When attempting to rectify, drilling more holes the fitter broke my window.

Expensive and I disappointed as the blind wand was fitted at the wrong side of both my new Blinds, When I pointed it out to the fitter he told me I told him wrong which puts me off the company.. Oh I got handed a Thank you card but it was addressed to someone else..Pre written in a hurry I'd say..

Yet again, feeling let down. We had blinds from yourself at our last house , chap who fitted them was arrogant and sprayed some form of silicone on our new floor which could not be removed. Working on the proviso lightning doesn’t strike twice we asked you to come out to our new house, measurements were taken and blinds were fitted! Two out of the three were fine the third was to long, can you adjust it I asked,? I only fit em! Was the reply , I’ll order another! As if by madness we asked for three more in our living room . Once again all three were to long, I had mentioned to the fitter all the windows were different drop! I ONLY FIT THEM !was the reply and then after leaving found a cut in our hallway flooring caused by a drill, screwdriver or something. I run a company and if I treat my customers like this I would not have a company left. We would like to remain anonymous Thankyou
