The guy that came to see us failed to:- Tell me the blinds from outside would not be white Gave me an ill fitting fitting which continued to dent the masonry After I queried this he agreed it was bad (this took many emails) option provided to solve was a horribly outdated looking blind. Finally went with something 50% smaller so still not ideal. When I returned after he fitted the new blind it just about covers the glass of my door, no generous overhang which would look far nicer and provide extra warmth in the winter. I’ve now requested on more than 4 occasions where my 50% discount is that I was promised at the start, where has it been applied. So far they are pointing me to T&C’s that say this doesn’t apply to all blinds and just demanding payment. If estimators are lying for Hillary’s when they come to measure up then someone needs to answer this. I am certainly not going to pay until they tell me where this is. I’ll never order anything with this company again. Terrible service, terrible fittings and people that do not tell the truth. How they stay in business I do not know. Dreadful company to avoid at all costs. My stress levels have been severely raised!!

Never again will I order from Hillary blinds. They never deliver when they are suppose to they lie to their customers. They never inform you what’s going on . Bad customer service. And you cannot get your money back or cancel the order

We have used Hillary’s in the past and decided to use them again for shutters and blinds. I would definitely not recommend them or use them again. Firstly they incorrectly measured the shutters, fitting them regardless then agreeing they were incorrect. So re-measured and refitted new blinds following a lengthy delay. This resulted in damaged window frames that had been newly painted. Although they have agreed to pay towards the repair of the damage. The huge delay and inconvenience they offered £200 to our troubles towards our £4000 spend. Extremely disappointing and would look elsewhere next time rather than falling for the sale of good customer service.

I have just received a response to my complaint from Micheal Garner, London Account Manager. He obviously did not read my complaint as starts by saying, following our previous conversation, I have never spoken with him. He then talks about the manner in which the blinds operate, which was not my complaint at all. I was complaining that my 3 black out blinds were not fitted within the window frames but outside of them on the walls.Therefore the gap is so large either side it lets in so much light it renders them useless. I can't even get them moved as the blinds would need to be smaller...wish I had read some of these reviews before using Hillarys.

The installer caused significant damage to the walls where he fitted the blinds, he left a terrible mess behind at the flat and on top instead of taking the refuse from the installation with him he throwed everything away in the communal areas of the building with my name and address on it. Unacceptable lack of professionalism and carelessness. I would not recommend Hillary's service to anyone.

After paying for Hilary’s blinds , up front a few months ago they decided to chase me for payment and threatened court proceedings. I have been harassed by constant phone calls , emails and now court proceedings by form of a letter, even though I have paid , their incompetence is unacceptable I have asked to speak to the C E O I asked them if they do this on a regular basis asking for payment even though it’s paid ..an older person may panic and pay again. 4 months ago I paid and now this week they are chasing payment … One complaint about the blinds the pull threads are too short I can’t actually reach them and have to stand on furniture to reach …

It's hard to understand how a company can get by with so many totally incompetent and ignorant staff. The fitters are great, but the office and admin staff are utterly useless

Pleased with my purchase at first but afterthe 12 month warranty had expired I found out that there's no after care service when the blind cord snapped. No option but to buy a new blind, needless to say it won't be from Hilarys.

The blinds did not fit the windows, despite a professional working for Hillarys having taken the measurements and placed the order. So we did not get the blinds we ordered. Despite that, Hillarys wants us to pay about 35% of the cost, without having delivered the product. Shockingly bad business behaviour. Do we have to report you to the Trading Standards body?

Dreadful experience, no customer service, once they have your deposit they don’t care. Took months to contact for delivery, refused to refund, Russell the account manager is a very busy man, too busy for customers it seems! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly I would not even give them a 1 star. Please avoid this company at all costs. I placed an order last September. I was contacted in January to say there was a delay. Heard nothing since. I keep ringing and get told an email has been sent to the Area Director and someone will call me back. This has never happened. I have made a complaint no response. Shocking service.

Hi, Where do I start, ordered roof and side blinds for my conservatory having moved in in May 2021, ordered in June received a call from fitter to come in August however when he turned up 40 clips were missing so unable to fit them all, waited several weeks, fitter came back now 2 of my vertical blinds don't made too long, another month wait while re made, came back guess what too long again, this happened four times, fitter as frustrated as me kept telling manufacturers they needed to be made shorter, I have rang numerous times as no correspondance with me, no one is ever able to help just say"get someone to ring you back", no one ever does, have e mailed, finally someone said would get manager Fabien to ring me, finally get call but not convenient time so said he would ring back, still waiting! I use my conservatory to eat in and was unable to use last summer now we heading towards summer will be too hot to use again, thankfully I only paid deposit and will now be "calling it a day" and getting another firm in to do the blinds as they look a total mess with two not fitting, I think a six month wait is quite long enough! thought a big well known company would be good how wrong, take your money and can't deliver, avoid at all costs save yourself heartache and stress, this company have no conscience or care for customers!

Placed my order in October 2021, learnt the blinds were manufactured but most of them could not be located, got partial refund and waiting for installation date for 3 blinds fully paid. I spoke numerous times to the customer service and I still don't know when they will fit the blinds. I will never use this company again.

Avoid at all cost. Paid £1300 deposit at the beginning of October and was given a date for 2nd February by the representative, then was sent an email to say fitting was now in March !!! the wait apparently is because the shutters are made in CHINA, heard last week from Hilarys the blinds have arrived in this country however the fitter is not available to fit them until March, even though I was told if they arrived in this country I could have them fitted in February. In November I was refused a refund. Disgusting company policies and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Worst service ever and blinds / shutters are nothing special . My shutters frame broke after 3 months fitting, 3 months after reporting it and I still can’t get a phone call from their area manager to book a repair date!! Catastrophic!!

I ordered my shutters on 9th October last year. I wasnt told it would be a sux month wait until I had paid £1000 deposit that they would be coming from China and would take six months to arrive [theyve have not arrived as of yesterday]. I am fed up of trying to speak to a PERSON. I had curtains from you last year again had to have you back. I willnot be dealing with you again. I am totally disappointed.

On reading the below reviews I feel very lucky as I didn’t even get a visit!! I booked an appointment for today between 9 & 12pm. At 12.20 I text the rep who advised he was running 2 hours late but would get to me asap (why wasn’t I contacted advising this?????). I then phoned him because saying that didn’t let me know when to expect him and I did have other things to do! He was nice and said he’d be with me at 1ish. At 1 he called to say he was on a different road to my address so where was my house. It eventually transpired that he deals with the Luton area and I’m in Bristol……only 100 miles away!!! I checked my booking details and I’d input correctly. I have no confidence in using them now, not only did they get this simple part wrong but they couldn’t be bothered to contact me to say they were running late. I feel for all you who’ve actually paid them and are having issues…..good luck
