The fitter arranged to be with me for 9.00 am as I had to travel 200 miles in the afternoon for a meeting. I called in a couple of times after 11am for an update to no avail. I then contacted HO and they were also not able to make contact with him. Apparently he ticked up at 1.30pm no apology or explanation. Luckily my daughter was at home. Blinds fitted but not very well. I picked venitions and they do not block the light or close properly. Definitely would not recommend Hillary’s. Save your money and shop elsewhere

They didn’t deliver what they promised. I reached out to Hillarys to improve the darkness of my bedroom, and the sales guy told me I should replace my recently bought wave curtains to a new one. I believed in him, paid 1218 pounds for the new curtains, but they definitely don’t solve my problem as they said it would. Here are the pictures.

Poor service, I am stii waiting for my shutters to be fitted from 2nd March. I was promised a refund 2nd May - to be in my account within 7 days. I am still waiting.

Sales Rep was very good. That’s where it ends! Fitting service extremely upsetting process. Fitter was intimidating, not experienced, provided sub standard service and not what was expected of this company. Some blinds don’t fit, only one of six blinds purchased has been fully fitted. Four were left secured but not completed and one secured, not completed was measured poorly and does not fit. We have now waited 6 weeks for someone to contac us to confirm when the job will be finished. We have made numerous calls to the company to be told the job has been passed to a new team and someone would contact us to arrange next appointment and have hears nothing. We have also emailed the company only to be given the same response, someone will be in touch. I would not recommend Hillary’s to anyone.

I have had my blinds fitted 3 weeks ago they are shocking they don't close properly . I had a very rude person from hillary s at my door he was very rude to me. Im taking this to the consumer and I want a total refund ASAP.

Really terrible experience with ordering shutters from Hillarys. We waited 8 months for the shutters to arrive and for them to be fitted. When they finally arrived after a few cancelled appointments they did not fit. All through the 8 months, there was no proactive approach to keeping us updated on the awful process/situation and at every turn we had to contact them for an update. Hillarys did not attempt to contact us with a solution once the fitter confirmed to them that shutters were not the correct size and again we had to reach out to them for a refund of our deposit. Truly awful customer service and a company that over promises and under delivers. Would not recommend.

Don’t order velux roof blinds From Hillary’s they only last 3 years. The salesman came round today tried to charge me double what I paid for them three years ago. And despite the fact he fits them he could not tell me why mine was broken. Not very good at all. They don’t fit properly anyway. There is a line that lets in the daylight. So what’s the point gettin* black outs if they don’t fit the window. I didn’t bother to complain about it three years ago but I now completely feel ripped off and won’t be ordering from them unless it’s cheaper than I paid three years ago. He was trying to tell me everything is going up in price. Not double though. Incredibly dissappointing.

The blinds we received are just what we needed and look extremely good. Issue is one of the blinds was broken on receipt. Was told that the replacement will be around a week, then we got told it is 2 weeks. Phoned customer service and waited over 20 min to get through. Such a pity that their back office support is terrible, whereas their sales person and product is very good.

Avoid this company at all costs. Bad service from start to finish. Got measured up for shutters last June, the work only got completed 3 weeks ago. This was due to 2 windows getting measured up incorrectly. Not once did we get an update as to when the final work was going to be completed, we just got a phone call a few days prior to fitting. But when the final bill was ready to be settled we got four phone calls in the space of a week as I had been on nights it went straight on to voicemail. I however rang them and was told that I had a outstanding balance and this needed to be settled ASAP. I told the advisor Gaynor Jennings (the lady that had been leaving me voice messages) that I wanted a breakdown of the bill as it had been that long ago 10 months that I had forgotten what I owed. She sent me a email with the remaining balance, and I replied saying I would settle the bill as soon as I could. She then left me another voice mail informing me that the money owing had been passed on to debt collectors. Absolutely disgusted 6 days from Gaynor Jennings asking me for money to it going to debt Collectors, I have been made to feel like a criminal.

I was told hilarys do not do curtains in the length I required but we decided to put curtains a little less from ceiling to make up for the shortfall at the bottom and curtains will touch the floor,but came home to find curtains hung from ceiling and now swinging from the floor,not happy,I have paid 1200.00 pound and am totally disgusted with the outcome. They look ridiculous!!

Ordered velux blind , long wait for blind and then first booking for fitting he didn’t turn up, came next day and fitted blind which had a hole in it , replacement ordered , another long wait and yes you have guessed blind faulty . Customer services poor and that’s when you can get through. Would not recommend . I requested refund which I finally got

Customer service appalling- they make false promises and lies to get you off the phone and then the next person you speak to tells you something completely different. I have had months of hassle and wasted so much time of the phone to this awful company. Such a regret using them.

Blinds sent out with 2 different fittings on pull cords and one pelmet cut short. Replacement requested which took a long time to arrive and fit and this was cut squint and one side. When you call customer services each person tells a different story. This company is shocking and customer service is terrible.

We only needed the vertical blinds for 4 windows. When he came to fit he had to use our old clips. Also said he would bring Pull weights. In my opinion deliberate ploy to get a sale as the pull weights are no longer available . We wont use this firm again. WARNING

Was charged £500 for 3 narrow blinds. My choice of fabric was swopped for another without consultation. Very disappointed.

We placed our order last October and under stood the delays etc re covid. Well we have stayed in all day awaiting the fitter with 4 sets of shutters, I rang last week and was informed that the fitter would call in advance and double check on access etc - never happened. the customer liaison team confirmed today was the installation day and was told yes sometime between 11.00 and 15.00 and the fitter would let me know what time to expect him Well here we are at 20.015 and still no show, I did ring at 16.00 and was told definitely today well no phone call apologising and booking another date and time and I feel really let down. I suppose tomorrow will see me ringing customer liaison again and who knows how long it will be awaiting the shutters,

The chap who did the work was quick and efficient, however there was some damage to the window frame which we didn’t notice until late the next day. I had new windows at the front of the house fitted in mid February so I know they weren’t damaged in any way. The reason I am only just replying is that we embarked on a 2 week cruise holiday and have just arrived home. Again the chap was efficient and sociable.
