I ordered roller blinds for my conservatory in Aug 2021. When they arrived they had different size rollers and fitting brackets. It looks awful. I wasn't made aware of this at time of ordering. I was told that the bigger blind needed the bigger brackets when the guy came to fit them. I wasn't happy and the fitter said he would see what he could do. Long story short after month of waiting he said his manager had contacted the manufacturer and that they would make the bigger of the two blinds with the smaller roller and brackets. The material was out of stock but was happy to wait. Eventually the blind was done and on the day of fitting the fitter opened the box and they had made the same blind with the big roller and the same big ugly brackets. Blinds were ordered Aug 2021 this is now Feb 2022 and I have heard nothing from them. The way the blinds look is like looking at a toilet roll and a huge kitchen roll together. Completely different in size. Hilarys customer service and treatment of customers is disgusting. I will never use this company again and wouldn't advise anyone else to unless you want to give your money to a company that clearly doesn't respect their customers

Blinds and curtains ordered in July with a deposit paid and receipt to show payment, all fitted in august and remaining payment made. In November we received a call and email saying we had an outstanding debt with them that was being referred to debt recovery. Called them and forwarded copies of receipts. All emails have been ignored that I have sent and we continue to get demands for payment. They have ignored proof of payment receipts. Absolutely terrible time with them.

I ordered shutters from Hillary’s in August. I paid a deposit of £1500 on 17th august I and was told they would be fitted on 10th January. On 9th January, having heard nothing to the contrary , I had my existing blinds removed and moved furniture in readiness. I thought I’d just give the fitter a quick call to confirm that all was well. I was very surprised to hear that he longer worked for them. As it was Sunday, customer services was not available ( however, you can get through to sales dept on Sunday,) When I eventually got through the following morning I was told that on screen information about my account showed that the fitting was to be reorganised. I appreciate that sometimes arrangements change but the fact Hillary’s didn’t even show me the courtesy of informing me is inexcusable and demonstrates that once they have your money they don’t care about the customer. I asked to speak to a manager but none was available. I made repeated calls over several days. A manager then phoned me and said he was trying to arrange another fitter and several days later the fitter rang and arranged to fit my shutters on 25th jan. A 15 day delay does not seem too bad and may have been more acceptable if Hillary’s had bothered to tell me so that I wouldn’t have removed the existing blinds and spent two weeks living in a goldfish bowl and having to sleep in the spare room. However, the nightmare didn’t end there. The measuring had been so badly done that the frames did not fit and so my shutters still couldn’t be fitted. Enough! I have cancelled the order as I couldn’t bear the stress of starting all over again.I have been told I will get a refund but, of course that will take time. ( although when I paid the deposit it was due ”now”. I have been told the shutters will be binned. Apart from the waste there is an environmental implication. These shutters were made and shipped from China. Avoid Hillary’s at all costs.

I purchased blinds for my new build property, Roman for the back and shutters for the front. It was a big investment and I went with Hilary’s because they had a good reputation. How wrong I was! The consultant who helped me purchase was great. But whilst the Roman blinds were ordered, they didn’t process my shutters order. When I followed up after hearing nothing, the advisor gave me the wrong advice, I had to call back 4 times over two weeks and eventually it was an issue they had getting the paperwork from another department. Then they called to say that there was a 3 month wait, as of that timing, because they hadn’t processed it. I wait 3 month, then they say that the fitter has left, a week before my date to fit. So now it’s another month. I’ve been without curtains/blinds in my front house for now 6 months and when I put in a formal complaint, hilarys offered some compensation, but refused to confirm how much, they were keen to explain that I couldn’t back out of the order, so I didn’t have many options. When I asked them to contact through email. As I am at work 9-5 they ignore my ask and call anyway. I’ve asked about 6 times. Their cal centres as only open Monday 9-5, so good luck talking to them about anything if you work to pay your bills. The complaint that I did put in. They didn’t even conclude and when I ask, what is the conclusion, they ignore me. So if you generally want blinds that are lovely, but overpriced, 6 months late, take a lot of time on chasing up and generally create a feeling of helplessness as they ignore your feedback- go with Hilary’s

I placed an order (PAID IN FULL) in November with an the agent and he said blinds will be installed with 4 to 6 weeks. A measure would be arranged in 3 days. no contract was made, i chased and date was agreed 3 weeks after payment. Never showed with no communication. Several weeks passed, no contact, Customer Services unhelpful. Cancelled order and still no refund. I have found them dishonest and unreliable - if you do use don't pay in full i like i did.

In November the agent promised to install the blinds on 14/12/21. He never called and the blinds are still not up even though he took payment in full. I have found them dishonest and unreliable.

I ordered the perfect fit blinds from hillarys for my 4 bedrooms, after using them for 2-3 days they started falling apart. The gentleman who installed them did a very bad job and he isn't answering my messages. I called hillarys multiple times and sent them emails but no reply. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I wouldn't recommend them.

After pulling ceiling paper away in 2 rooms; an assessor said they should never have been fitted and original surveyor should have known that. No customer service following. Shocking treatment for the money. I was offered £50 to compensate as I was not prepared to miss work waiting for more workman to give quotes to repair the damage Give Hillary's a miss! I thought paying a premium you got a better product and service. Not true,

one star just to be able to review,all I can say is exactly what everyone else is saying here,got my money but I don’t have shutters,not one person knows what’s going on its disgusting,they should be ashamed.

Made in China (shutters) 6 week delay due to travelling from China, expensive for the quality, 3 weeks to answer an email, when it comes to booking a consult and taking your deposit its super quick however, fitter arrived saying they didn't need to wear a mask. telephone staff very polite but that's where their quality ends.

I really wished I read reviews before parting with my hard earned money. I am so glad i didn't get hillary to fit my other windows. I will go elsewhere with my business. Hillary customer service is appalling non existent. Not cheap either. I will NEVER purchase anything from Hillary and when my family & friends ask about my blinds that I have purchased with hillary, i will tell them stay clear from this back street cons artists, with the RUDEST customer service in the UK. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

Had a black out blind measured and fitted by Hillary’s blinds , when the bloke had finished fitting it it was wonky, I said it’s on a slant he said it’s your walls they are not straight then I noticed it was about a inch too short to the window sill he then mumbled something and went to his van and disappeared, I’m now left with a wonky short blind that lets light through the sides and underneath, and had to complain via email because I haven’t time to wait thirty plus minutes on the phone for someone to answer it . 😡

This has to the worst standard of customer service I have ever received. We Ordered some shutters back in July. Made numerous tel calls as the fitting date confirmed at the time of the order has been and gone, but we are still no further forward We have been advised that the order left on a shipping container on 03.10.21 it’s now approaching Dec and they have no idea how much longer they are going to take to arrive which is absolutely absurd. I honestly don’t know how this company is still trading they need to be reported to Trading Standards and closed down, I will be speaking to my credit card provider to arrange a chargeback and cancel the order

I the basis of my quote for 3 curtains and was told "We cannot provide customer’s with width or drop sizes as a Hillarys policy. " Why anyone would accept a quote without this information is beyond me. Avoid like the plague imo. :(

I have been trying to contact the the person that came to my house and took my order in early October I have been trying to contact him by phone & email but am unable spoke to the Call center on the 23th of November said spoke to him and he would ring me same day but did not so, phone him again no luck they said it was on noted that I want cancel the appointment and that I would be contacted by him to rearrange the appointment but if he cannot ring me how can I rearrange the appointment?

As per all the negative reviews they are all very accurate. The aftersales service is non existent they will take your money and all the staff I dealt with lie continually after that they should be ashamed to be part of a rip off organisation. Awful company to deal with. A massive thank you to barclayclard who were able to recover my funds from hillarys after 6 months of stress and upset. Please stay away from this company. They will soon be on rouge traders and hopefully cease trading.

I was interested in Plantation Shutters until I found there was a 17-22 week delay and they use a company in China to manufacture them which given the environmental impact that has is no longer acceptable. I decided not to use the company and then got a feedback call. The man was rude and aggressive and rather than discuss my concerns hung up on me. Will definitely not use them!!!

This is my first time using Hillary’s I have had the worst experience. The sales guy that came was really good until he got his sale after this he couldn’t be bothered. When he came to fit he couldn’t be bothered now today everything has fallen down my curtain the rail the guy that fitted never used wall plugs I have a hole & plaster everywhere. Hillary’s blinds is expensive which you don’t mind paying for if you get the service & your happy with the end result. I am really disappointed really unhappy I have raised as complaints but no one has come back. Definitely avoid Hillary’s there quick to get your money but when there’s a problem you won’t here from them

Do not touch this company with a barge pole!! As per all the other reviews their customer services and proactive comms are non-existent. We ordered 6 months ago and had an install date of mid September. Well that has come and gone with no comms from them on why that date was missed or what the next date is? The "customer service" team seem to there purely to rudely fob you off with vague, unclear and ultimately no firm dates or actions on next steps, although they are happy to go into detail about all their company issues, as if we actually care?!! They seem to have one fitter who is on holiday until the end of the month, but they can't access his diary. Really?!!! Great at taking money, but on execution, service and delivery - absolutely shocking!!! AVOID THESE COWBOYS LIKE THE PLAUGE!

Absolute rubbish materials, the salesman Daniel is a liar, we cancelled the order within 48 hours and they are now trying to take us to court for over £2000
