So ordered automatic ceiling blinds only to have them fitted wrongly 3 out of 4 worked ! So when the so called fitter came back none of the blinds were of any use paid 1200£ to be told that the blinds have to be remade again after fourth attempt blind what we’re supposed to be fitted today had no motors in so no good no one wants to know at Hillary’s so arrogant and ignorant all they want is your money so much for being a professional company what a load of twaddle rip off merchants all of them they say they are going to compensate me for everything does this mean they’re going to pay for my whole extension to be re decorated?? For the damaged walls and ceiling don’t think so I wish to god I’d never had this rubbish company do my blinds of which I still haven’t got as they have to be remade again and fitted some time never monkeys could do a better job warning don’t use this company

Please check the photos. Very poor quality workmanship. Cost over £3000 for 5 pleated curtains and 3.5 roller blinds. No value for money. Very poor quality workmanship. very short curtains all around. Rollar blinds does not close properly, didnt balance. Very poor communication, bad arrogant attitude from the staff. Overall very bad expence. Falls promisses. Taken the full price upfront. Over a month still didnt compleate the work to a satisfactory level. Need my money. Rip of company. Dont get trap to them

Pathetic rip off company. Just had a ridiculous quote of over 600 for a bedroom and living room for cheap Venetian blinds. Don't bother coming around again or emailing you rip off con merchants. Got same quality for under 300

I would not recommend Hillary’s as it has been 8 months of hell. Twice they have been out to fix our blinds and today we came home to find them falling down, you could see they had forced the product together when they fitted it again 2 weeks ago! They did take £50 pounds of the bill if I recall correctly as they cancelled our original fitting the day before as they didn’t have the product and were available to fit 2 months later. For over £1000 worth of blinds that I have paid to be fitted I could not be more disappointed. But don’t worry they have warranty and take 2 months to come out and fix the problem or get back to you. I would avoid Hillary’s and support a business that provides the goods they promise

We ordered a blind for our kitchen windows. We have been messed around left right and centre. We have requested a refund and we were told it will take 5-7 days. Which is unacceptable. They took the money out of our account within 20mins. So they should be able to put it back into our account the same way. I don’t recommend that anyone use Hillaries blinds. As they are just after your money. Avoid at all costs.

Do not use this company. Total rip off - company has no customer service after they have your money. Fitters are all self employed you are punted around head office - area managers don't take customer calls..... I rest my case dispicable company will never deal with them again. My curtains that I waited to get fitted for over 5 months having paid in full are 23cm too long. The whole thing has been a total shambles.

Received a quote for £4,300 for three pairs of curtains. I said too expensive and the quote was immediately reduced to £3,700. I said still too expensive and was told by the person who did the measuring that he was self employed and didn't actually work for Hillary's blinds and if he reduced quote further they would probably not employ him anymore but he might be able to get order reduced to £2,500 if he spoke to the company. I felt I was trying to a deal for a second hand car! I was not happy and got a quote from Dunelm for a better quality curtain - £1,300 which I accepted. My advice is don't use Hillary's Blinds. You will probably get a much better deal at almost half the price by shopping around.

Telephoned for a quote today gave my address all details etc then was told no one to come and give me a quote in norwich area told man they should update their system which clearly said they had 17 people for their team in norwich. Not very good service

I was given a quote by a rep for window blinds. When the bill came it was much more. I have phoned twice and customer service said they will get in touch bu phone calls and three weeks later no one has!! I still have the original quote. Really bad service. Will tell friends and Facebook not to bother with your company

Was supposed to have rep today between 3 and 6 didn't turn up phoned them was told its next week my appointment even though I got texts from them and an email saying it was today totally disgusted as had to change several things today for them coming

After having an appalling experience during the purchase of over £4,000 worth of curtains and blinds I now have to endure their non existent customer service. Having purchased a combination of blinds and curtains for our new home last October the fitter had to return 3 times due to his inability to measure and order correctly. A rude man, at one point even trying to blame my wife for the reasons why he had got them wrong! Finally the ordeal of this experience was over late November until I had reason to contact the company due to issues with the installed blinds. I am now on my 5th email to this company, all previous being completely ignored, this I guess is their way of dealing with issues from customers. As someone who does not normally write reviews I felt compelled to write this to warn others of this company, it seems one that trades off its historic name but is run by and employs people who simply don’t care about their customers. I have now taken the matter up with my local trading standards team who are looking into the issues for me. Please do yourself a favour and find a different company, there’s a reason why their ratings are so poor across all platforms and simply shouldn’t even be in business in the 21st century. I shall be doing everything possible to point everyone I know to their competitors.

I have used Hillary’s blinds for years and the first problem I have had got no help whatsoever from after sales team my awning heater is not working so phoned for advice and was told because it was out of warranty they could not help. I understand it was out of warranty but I have spent thousands of pounds with them over the years and feel let down as a repeat customer

If anyone thinking of using Hillary’s blinds DONT!!! They are only out for your money , if you have any issues with them they are ignored . We spent £3,450 on shutter blinds , due to be fitted on 23/03/21. I rang Hillary’s to find out if everything on schedule for the fitting . I was told yes , so the night before, we took our existing blinds down in preparation, and to be ready for the new ones. On the 23 we waited for the fitter to arrive. No fitter , no phone call , no information, no apologies. I called Hillary’s to see what was going on ??? I was told the blinds we not in and I would have to wait . I was also told staff and fitters had left so it could be some time . Hillary had a deposit on 11/12/2020 , I understood they would take time to make but I was ok with that . What I didn’t / don’t like is that my blinds were eventually fitted on 20th April 2021, I was told I would be given a substantial discount due to the appalling service I had received, I was offered a minimal discount which I felt didn’t reflect on the disruption and inconvenience I experienced, I was without any privacy to my windows , for a month. I started sending emails to explain my feelings and disappointment with the company, attitudes and lack of support and help towards the customer, was /is disgusting, every time you send an email , another person responds, so you are being sent around in circles, all they say is they are satisfied with the discount offered and that is a much as they can do!! If you ask for a call back , it never happens . With that in mind , they miss the point that my blinds were fitted 28 days later than they should have been , they had a 50% deposit on 11/12/20 . My money in their bank for 4.5 months on an order of £3,450 they offered me £175.00 . I was hoping for at least 10% of the order . Then I started receiving reply emails saying if my payment is not paid by 30th April, they would send me to a debt collection agency, and withdraw the discount offered. I feel very intimidated, bullied, and ripped off !! No way is there any care for the customer , it’s all bout Hillary’s. I never once refused to Pay my invoice , just hoped for a better discount . Not too much to ask , when they are in breach of contract! Do yourselves a favour , spend your money with a more reputable company , and save a lot of heartache and disappointment. They definitely do not meet there advertising criteria.

Stupidly enough was daft enough to have Hillary’s come and fit me motorised ceiling blinds after several attempts of fitting them (one has never worked ) had another fitter out who said that the blinds what had been fitted were entirely the wrong sizes and the fittings were also wrong damaged caused to upvc attachment on window frame too much tension on wire so it has pulled it away from frame damage to wall paper and also wrong remote control not even the right charging box of which is loose and practically hanging off the wall and not secure as front cover is hanging off the list goes on waste of £1250 they don’t want to know about any complaints or anything called today to be told that new blinds are being remade !! So asked if they were going to be made without holes in ? No answer will not and Wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone and should be brought to task and reported to watch dog or rogue traders waiting to hear what happens next fro Hillary’s not holding my breath

Used because previously pleased. However, very poor service this time when replacing vertical blinds on 9 windows. 6 have issues, the main one hanging central wand in bay and 3 other windows. ‘Customer Care’ is non-existent. Refused to come and look, I sent photos. Estimator said he would replace cords with wands but there was no mention of wands being central instead of at side. When he fitted first one and I complained, he said we had “discussed” wands, this is not true as he said nothing about position of wands being different to cords on 3 windows. I now sit in my bay window looking at the central hanging wand. Arrogant emails saying contract fulfilled and case closed. Wish I had read other reviews before using them this time. Will never use Hillary’s again.

Had two Roman blackout blinds fitted because I didn't want the light to come through but in both rooms there is a gap and now that the time has changed the rooms are so bright early in the morning and till the evening so my daughter finds it hard to sleep. I really don't understand how they take the measurements. Definitely better to go with someone else as they will not rectify the mistake.

3 Blinds have been up since 2015. One was replaced under warranty. Now all 3 are starting to lift at an angle with one side higher than the other. Contacted Hillarys for advice. Blinds are over 3 years old and they will not give any advice. Won't use them again.

We purchased blinds for our conservatory and motorised blinds for the roof . When we purchased it we were told that there is a 5 year guarantee on the blinds which was in actual fact a real rip off as we spent over £3200 for inferior rubbish blinds . Today I rang them as one of the roof blinds have come off the bracket on the roof . I was told that I’ve got to pay £75 call out charge even though it is covered under the warranty . Companies like this should be taken to watch dog and ripping customers off . The answer I got was for us to fix it ourselves.

Poor Service. Booked a appointment. Told advisor would arrive between 3-6,called advisor to see if could come after 4 said he would come straight away. Called me a few moments later to say his exact words SCHOOL IS OUT i can not park near your house we will have to rearrange just because he had to walk. Very rude man then they called me to reappoint basically told them where to go . Never use them.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I initially enquired about an awning in Feb 2021 and placed a £3,600 order for an awning with them with an installation date of 26th April. I paid them £1,800 deposit to confirm contract. A few weeks later they rang to say my chosen fabric had been discontinued by them and would I like to choose another. I was very disappointed because the reason I chose Hillarys was because I liked this particular fabric. I chose another fabric, (for me, a poor second choice) and then was told by sales rep that fabric was not discontinued but out of stock. I found it impossible to get a new installation date from them and was just left dangling. I rang Customer Services several times only to be told it was discontinued again, then told it wasn't, then was told it would be in stock before end May. It seem that no one at Hillarys knows what is going on and they lie to customers. They couldn't prioritise my order despite the fact they it was them who were in breach of contract re installation date. They then said installation would be from 10th June. Well how long after 10th June I asked, we would like this awning for this summer. They told me they would have to get other customers orders out first so in effect I would be put at the end of the queue! Why? Given their delay, I should be at the front of the queue. Asked to speak to supervisor. Was refused! So I have asked for my £1,800.00 back. All in all, frustration and a complete waste of my time. My advice is don't waste your time, give Hillarys a miss.
