Hideaway Beds work with many furniture manufactures, joiners, architects, interior design practices and retail customers all over the UK and abroad to supply space saving furniture and wall bed mechanisms for both domestic and commercial application. They operate from a distribution centre in Devon where many products are available for next day dispatch from stock.

“Hideaway Beds provided an excellent service, resolving a couple of issues quickly and to my great satisfaction. Their customer service was superb and the product is simply amazing. I’m pretty sure I was not the easiest of customers and Michael was polite, helpful, and dealt with all my queries quickly,, either by email or over the phone. Very satisfied all round and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.”

“Bed components arrived on time. Building and fitting the bed took 3 days, various new drills, holes that needed drilling on the frame, 5 sheared bolts and instructions that defied understanding in places. I do have a brain. No way could this be assembled in the 110 minutes mentioned at the beginning of the instructions. In the end, the bed is good and does the job but....”

“This Hideaway Bed was easy to assemble with the idiot proof instructions to follow. The service and delivery was excellent and with delivery date and time specified. It certainly gives a small room the option of a spare bedroom and office combined.”

“We placed our order shortly before lockdown which meant a delay of several months. However, Michael kept us informed of the current situation throughout, we were completely satisfied that the bed would be delivered at the earliest possible date in light of the lockdown. The bed was delivered very promptly once lockdown was lifted, by two very courteous delivery men. We are absolutely delighted with the service we recieved and with the product we purchased. Michael has been in touch since delivery to make sure we were completely satisfied, couldn't fault any aspect of our purchase experience.”

“All excellent. I picked the cheapest option of self-assembly. Came when they said it would, with no missing bits. Was straightforward to build (a couple of hours or so) plus time to fix to wall. As other reviewers have said, getting the springs in place was difficult. There should be a small tool to help (maybe like an old-fashion cork-screw but with a hook?) but that caveat aside, all excellent. Had it about 3 months, slept in it every night, very impressive how much floor space it releases during the day. Well worth the money.”

“The service and communications provided by Michael Downton were excellent. We have purchased the King size Alpha Bed fitted with study desk which works brilliantly. On criticism is that the design of the desk metal footplate could be better with predrilled holes set further back, our T&C fitters unfortunately “trashed” the interior MDF side panels as the screws went in slight misaligned and too close to the edge of the panel. This forced them to do a complete FOC refit!!! A bit frustrating for all...there’s no latitude for getting this part of the fitting even slightly wrong. The bed and desk work perfectly and in effect we have purchased what is now an extra dual function room to our property! The only main problem is trying to get suitable fitters who are competent and willing to take on the challenge of the complex fitting of the bed and desk frame (T&C & other recommendations were over 60 miles away). It’s a shame that Hideaway doesn’t have this part of the operation under teams of its own fabricators and fitters.”
